Been working with this sponsor for 4 years now, about time I got to see the campus a bit! unfortunately security is really tight so I wasn’t able to take a real tour of the whole campus, but from what I’ve seen, there’s a daycare, a basketball court, a tennis court… need I say anything more?!

The World’s Greatest Biotechnology Company! It’s true.
But, I must say, it was painful watching «New Leadership» in the form of Big Pharma Executives parading through the company since 2000 like clowns climbing out of a tiny car. At Amgen, ideas traditionally percolated up from research labs and produced lifesaving products like EPO, Neupo, Aranesp, Neulasta, Sensipar, OPG, and more! The Big Pharma influence did nothing but suffocate a superior corporate culture by creating a «top down» dynamic along with a mind-​numbing performance review process they named Maximizing Amgen’s Performance (MAP). Can’t argue with a name like that. New executives kept saying «Don’t be afraid of change!». I’m not afraid of change… But why do they keep saying that?!

Great company to work for and I have met many wonderful friends and colleagues over the years there.
