In line to buy sandwich… Man making sandwich for previous guest cuts his hand. He walked to the back to call his workmate to take over, while he compresses his wound with a tissue. Workmate came out and wrapped the sandwich… Yes, the one where the man who made the sandwich CUTHISHANDON… and handed it to the customer Workmate was pissed about being called back to work and was pouting and cussing. She begrudgingly starts cleaning up the sandwich counter and — I kid you not — threw the sauce bottle at the sauce slots at the counter, missed and hit the front glass and bottle bounced back at her. I walked away and got a salad elsewhere. I’ve seen enough.

Although this is definitely not good or homemade Vietnamese food, it is still way more healthy than most of the other options in terminal C at Newark airport. I would say it is edible, had some flavor, and with lots of veggies, so what I was looking for. I didn’t expect it to be great or anything! Compared to other quick options, I would recommend.

Tried the Phở Ga and it’s pretty bad. Bland broth(beef), flour noodles, shredded cabbage??? And very little chicken. Stock tastes like a slightly bitter beef consommé. Pickles were good tho. God I miss the old airport options. Garden State Diner, hell even McDonald’s, the salad place, no iPads and real people to order from. Sometimes one step forward is three steps back. Down with the evil OTG empire and their army of iPad minions!!!

Good was ok, I was starving so wolfed it down before I could take a picture. For $ 9 the price was decent and the wrap was packed full… no skimping here. They have a choice of white or whole wheat… I got the whole wheat. Good quick meal, wish the jerk chicken was better.

Like all of the new terminal C concessions, this spot has the marketing and packaging down but the food is dreadful. The banh mi sandwich is very dry shredded pork drenched in cloying sweet sauce. It is ok that it is not authentic, but it is not ok that it is poorly made and tastes lousy. Stay away!

Great for breakfast and grabbing a quick bite before you get on your flight! I got a toasted bagel with lox, onion, and cream cheese. On the pricier side for about $ 13. I also got a fresh squeezed OJ for around $ 6. You place your order on the ipad machine then self-pay at the cashier on the islands with gum, newspaper, etc. Then you just bring your paid ticket back and wait for them to call your order. Located in the United Terminal– good breakfast choice. There’s tons of other places in the food court area if you want something different!

Came here when all the new restaurants opened. It was pretty good and full of flavor so I returned. Healthy food at half the price of Wanderlust’s burgers. Anyway, I got the same thing– Roast Pork Cold Noodle Dish and a side of pickled veggies. The pickled veggies were the same, but the cold noodle dish was dry and had only a small hint of the wonderful flavors before. It was one of my worse airport meals yet. Based on the reviews, just about all of these new restaurants in C terminal are horrible and way overpriced(except Starbucks). Wake up United and Port Authority! My recommendation is to bring something with you before you come, or take the Airtrain and try one of the regular restaurants pre-security at Terminals A or B.

The worst Banh mi restaurant I have ever been to. and I love Banh mi sandwiches! Didn’t have time to grab dinner before my flight so decided to pick up some food at the airport. The restaurant is in a food court type area between gates C75 and C90. The whole experience is pretty innovative as you use a touchscreen device at the ordering station, pick up the food from the server, and then head to the checkout area to do self checkout. You can even choose to get a text message when your food is ready so you can sit back down at your gate. I found this to be quite confusing because the people waiting didn’t know when their order was being made and the sever didn’t know who ordered what. I opted for the chicken liver pâté as pâté is a common Banh mi filling. This one was so disgusting. it had this awful taste and there was way too much pâté(I am typically a pâté lover). After scraping most of it off, I ate the sandwich with basically just cucumbers and carrots. The other sandwiches might be good but do NOT get the chicken liver pâté. The sandwich left me completely unsatisfied and with such a bad taste in my mouth that I had to have a bite of my friends delicious sandwich from the restaurant right across the food court.

I visited Vo for breakfast because their bagels looked delicious. But unfortunately I wasn’t very impressed by the food or service. The iPad ordering system at all the food shops in this section is super confusing and the menu options on the iPad didn’t match the posted breakfast menu. You order at the restaurant counter and then take the receipt over to the self pay machines. There is no attendant helping by the pay machines and as far as I can tell there is no one checking that you’ve paid when you leave which feels strange. The bagel itself was fine but the cream cheese was in a huge cold chunk in the middle so I had to figure out spreading it which is hard when the bagel wasn’t very warm either. Overall it was a sub-par experience.

Nothing but bagels available here today. That and a hella grumpy attitude. What a disaster. Port Authority + unscrupulous concessionaire = mind-blowingly low quality

Phở-Ga is more like Phở-na-not! If you are expecting anything resembling phở this is not for you! Ok airport phở is probably not going to be anywhere near real phở but this not even close! This is a horrible attempt by American cuisine to exploit the growing popularity of Vietnamese food. Small portions which then means pricey for what it is… Not good quality either. You’ve been warned!

My chili tofu sandwich was refreshing and a decent size to keep me full on my 5 hour flight to LAX. Slow service.

This is one of those places that looks trendy and on-point, but was really, really mediocre. The iPad ordering system is inefficient and creates a lot of backlog, and the place is understaffed. I tried the eggplant sandwich, and it was okay, but didn’t really have much in it, and for $ 10, you’re expecting more than that… even at an airport. Wasn’t too impressed, but that was a theme across the new food court.

I don’t know why people are slamming this place. It’s airport food. At least it has some flavor and fresh vegetables. At almost $ 10 for a less-than-filling sandwich, it is definitely airport pricing, but I am glad to have the option, particularly for when I’m traveling on business and can afford to buy a $ 10 sandwich.

Oh man, nothing like what we have at home :/Skip the spring rolls and the beef«Luclac» and just get the BBQ pork if you absolutely need to eat something that slightly resembles something in the ballpark of a Vietnamese sandwich. Two sandwiches and spring rolls for $ 28? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Never again.

Avoid. You can get better sandwiches elsewhere. Portion is small, the banh mi was burnt. Tasted not good.

Had a Breakfast Bánh Mì with egg, some pickled carrot/daikon, some siracha mayo, and a choice of bacon or sausage on a toasted baguette. I had sausage personally. The sandwich is small and a bit pricey but it is in an airport so yeah that is to be expected. The food itself is not bad in terms of the sausage and the pickled veggies. The siracha mayo isn’t bad either. It’s not Vietnamese though and the baguette is frankly terrible being both burnt and way too grilled. The bigger issue is that it took 15 minutes for a breakfast sandwich. One bored person making the eggs doesn’t help, especially when it is being prepared super slowly.

I’m surprised to find this food stand. I transited through EWR and was at this food court many times before. This time, my flight out of Newark was early. Only breakfast menu was available. So I ordered an omelette & bacon bánh mì. It was definitely an adaptation aimed at Westerners. But the omelette was prepared when ordered, & with fresh eggs. The crusty baguette was good. The condiments of cilantro and pickled carrot & daikon were close to homemade. In total, the sandwich was better than expected. I was definitely curious about the Phở Dip, which was available only after breakfast. Maybe next transit.

I wanted something other than the usual airport fast food, so I tried Vo Banh Mi. I thought it was cool that there was iPad ordering, and I love banh mi. Win win, right? I ordered the phở beef banh mi. A few minutes after putting in my order and paying, the cashier beckoned to me and handed me my bag of food. Sadly, when I opened it, I discovered that the«beef» was chicken. I don’t know if they got confused or if I received someone else’s order. But as I had already bitten into the order, I was stuck. So I can say that whatever chicken they used was as dry as a bone and cooked in something that made it look vaguely beef like on the exterior. I could theoretically imagine that it was cooked in a phở-like broth, certainly I discerned 5-spice. But there was this runny mayonnaise, and the veggies were not crunchy, and the bread wasn’t great. Nope, I will not return.

3 stars, but bumping up to 4 for being in the airport. You order using a tablet and then pay at the register. You can add-on chips, cookies, candy bars, or drinks at the register. The tablet process is fun, as you can look at pictures of the food and take your time. No deer in headlight, omg can’t decide what to get as the cashier is staring me down syndrome over here. Touchscreen interface was straightforward and easy to use as well. I took my sweet time and fluctuated between the beef salad and the BBQ pork banh mi. I settled on the banh mi. The banh mi bread was not a traditional flakey baguette, but rather a soft roll. Bread aside, the flavor of the meat and picked vegetables was good, although not quite traditional. They were generous with the sauce and the meat was tender. Prices were high compared to standard banh mi places but on par for airport food. For $ 10 this was an enjoyable airport meal, and I would eat there again.
