This location is close to my college, so I stop by sometimes, but it is definitely not a good Subway store, they got such a poor service. They do offer online order, and when I placed my spicy italian online for pick up, after like 20 minutes, I walked into the store and asked for my order, and they didn’t even know about it??? and not even an apology from their mouth. Horrible service for most of workers there.

Food tasted same as any other Subway but, customer service were horrible. I had foot long pastrami sandwich and wanted to be toasted but, the man who was making my sandwich were rushing me even though there were no customer behind me. So I forgot to ask for it to be toasted, also he did not offer to toast the bread nor he was polite. Then while I was eating on the table, the same man was pushing the chairs loudly next to us to put them on the right spot. Table and the chairs were not clean either. I spent $ 16 for 2 subs and a soup and had the worst customer service ever from that subway employee.

Decided that I would have a freshly made sandwich for breakfast; I know«awkward» right? So considering subway is well known for there fresh meats and bread I decided I’d buy a sandwich there the«6» sub. The worst sandwich ever. Bread was stale. For 5.08, what a ripoff I certainly won’t return there

There’s a couple of nice people behind the counter but there’s one girl who kinda shouts at you asking you what you want on your sandwich. Other that that, you’re in and out.

I was there 2 months ago and ordered the flatzilla pizza. as soon as I took my first bite the crust was so hard like cardboard. I went back to the person who made it. She said that’s how it is made. I told her that I usually eat flatzilla’s at the subway in Elizabeth and the crust is not hard. she still insisted that it was made like its supposed to be made. I requested my money back and they gave me some money but not all my money. I had only take 2 bites. yesterday I visited the subway in Elizabeth, and I told them of my experience. she said it sounds like they used stale bread. Warning to students, be careful with this store. Protect your stomach.

I really into Subway it’s my favorite«Hot Spot» even when I go to a 24-Hour in Newark Campus.

Poor Costumer Service. I asked questions about the menu. Employees withheld information in order to charge the higher amount. It’s sad that a place set-up to service college students would want to take their money.

I DONOTLIKE Subway. I’ve always hated Subway’s pre sliced, pre measured, crappy cold cuts and their crappy ‘fresh’ bread with awful ingredients. Yes, you can pull a Jared and eat their ‘healthy’ subs and probably lose weight… but I’d rather eat a real Jersey sub and enjoy my lunch. While in Newark recently for a non-work trip a friend of mine insisted on stopping here because we ‘couldn’t wait’ for a good sandwich. It’s a nice, bright store, we barely waited, the staff were fine(thus the second star) and it’s great for the Rutgers Newark students to have a place basically on campus. I still say they can find better food within walking distance… but they’ll eventually figure that out for themselves-I hope.

1 Star: Thankful for a food spot located on the Rutgers-Newark campus. Plus, it’s open 24 Hrs./ and offers free delivery. –Cool Fact: This location remained open during Hurricane Sandy and sold subs to students and locals who somehow managed not to buy any food prior to the storm; along with emergency workers and essential campus employees. 1 Star: A healthy and cheap option in Newark = Yay! 1 Star: This location is spacious, typically clean and the staff is usually«just alright». Frequented by the Rutgers-Newark community, St. Micheal’s employees/guests along with the occasional randoms who magically stumble in here.

This is a great Subway location, for Newark standards. It’s a 24-hour location, so that’s cool, and it offers free delivery, which I haven’t yet taken advantage of. I have never had issues with the staff being rude. Often, they have thick accents that make them difficult to understand, especially during rush hour when it’s noisy in the restaurant and they’re trying to hustle everyone through the line. However, the staff has been pretty consistently kind and even very sweet to me.

Pros: — It’s on University Ave. middle of the Rutgers University in Newark — It’s open 24 hours Cons: — Slightly rude/impatient servers — Less meat and toppings than you will get at other subways

Im sure no one comes here expecting much, but I think my last experience here will keep me away from subway for a while. The people there are rude, they are super stingy with the toppings and it just sucked. I got a sandwich, asked for lots of pickles so she put 6 on. I asked for more, she put one more, I asked for more again, she turned to the woman next to her, said something in another language, rolled her eyes and put one more. Same thing happened with spinach. When I went to pay I was told next time I would have to pay extra for«all of those veggies.» Completely freaking redic. The picture will show you what constitutes«extra veggies»

This Subway made me realized I took the subway back in New Brunswick for granted. As opposed to the $ 5 foot-long, it is $ 6. They are also very conservative with their toppings. I ate my sandwich without having anything fall out which is not the case when I am at the one in NB when half my toppings are on the wrapper. One plus is that they have free delivery which is probably necessary if you are located in Newark and want to keep your business going on a college campus.

Built recently so everything is still new, clean and bright. The place smells wonderful when you walk in. I don’t think the sandwiches and/or bread are any fresher, but being that this is one of the few clean Subways in Newark, it certainly feels better than the other ones. The location is very safe since it’s in the middle of the Rutgers campus. Prices are good(it’s Subway after all). The only reason this place isn’t getting 4 stars is because it’s a Subway — good if you’re looking to get a quick bite but that’s it.

Local, clean, friendly staff and often filled with college students. Best part, its 24 hrs. I come once in a while for a snack on the way to dinner or lunch because Subway sandwiches never fill me up. LOL! Anyways, I recommend this place for those who dont want to spend too much on something healthy to eat.

Subway on University Ave. by Rutgers University in Newark is open 24 hours… Very safe, very friendly, very efficient… It makes Subway tastes great. And I can say that because I’ve literally had it 10 times in the past 14 days. I’ve already established my image there, and I enjoy flirting with the married Indian women who have the most cutest smiles but still give me a little bit of attitude just to keep me in check. They always bust me for getting EVERYTHING on my sub, hehehe!-)
