There are actually two Starbucks at this Welcome Center now. One inside the Welcome Center and another in a new, stand-alone building(with a drive-thru) closer toward the northbound exit. Both locations have the same address, so consider this review to be for both of them. The one inside the Welcome Center gets 2 stars. The new one gets 4, so I’m averaging them out at 3. I think the reason the new one was constructed is BECAUSE the location inside the Welcome Center sucks so bad. It’s basically a kiosk that was constructed smack-dab in the middle of all the chaos so you never know where the line begins or ends. It has taken me up to 10 minutes just to place my order here and up to 15 minutes from the time I started waiting until the time my drink was prepared. The new location, however, provided a much more pleasant experience. I was in and out in probably about 2 minutes, but all I ordered was black coffee, so take that as you will. If all you need is coffee and a bathroom, avoid the madness inside the Welcome Center and go to the new stand-alone Starbucks, the goal of which seems to be to pull some of the foot traffic out of the Welcome Center.

I was there this past Saturday at 1030 in the morning. The lady who waited on me was in a horrible mood. I spent over $ 50 on regional mugs and expected to be treated better than that. I don’t care how long the line is.

Absolutely horrible service. I am pregnant and asked for a simple decaf coffee. The lady said decaf is out, so I asked for hand pour which is what other stores offer normally. The lady said she cannot do it because the line is long and couldn’t fulfill my order. Not to mention she made me waited for 5 mins before taking my order while she was sorting out the coins. That was why the line built up! Can you imagine a Starbucks with no brewed decaf option at all?

Absolutely horrible experience, do yourself a favor and hit up the sunoco for your coffee. I get this is a road stop, but still as a chain you expect some sort of level of service, quality of product, consistency, appropriate level to fill a cup, etc. Don’t hold your breath, not here. Had the pleasure of going through the drive thru. No one was in it so not high demand. Ordered a grande decaf, a grande darkest roast you have black, then a THIRD drink a Christmas roast with three pumps of pumpkin. Apparently there was some confusion as we were asked wait is that two or three drinks? Appreciated being asked as to clarify a correct order. We started THREE and went through all three again. Pulled up paid got the decaf and Christmas roast. Then the employee sat there. We let her know we were missing a drink, to which she proceeded to tell us we weren’t which was interesting as not only did we order three drinks but we were ASKED how many and did the whole dance again. She then told us no you said two, well uh no we didn’t, but are you going to argue with me. You didn’t pay for it she said the amount and shut the door. We sat holding a 5 with coffee sitting there to pay. When the window opened explained we have to pay, great we have been waiting to do so. The cherry on top was the mystery third coffee was filled so high that there was no way to have it handed to build without it spilling and burning me. Which is perfect as I’ll make sure to get some pictures as it blisters over and to contact corporate.

While stopping by the Delaware Welcome Center for lunch, I saw that there wasn’t much of a line so I decided to get my Strawberry Acai Refresher and Cranberry Bliss Bar. This kiosk sells the perfect tea maker, tins with loose leaf tea, and mugs. They don’t have Christmas merchandise yet. I didn’t like how their rewards system was down again.

My feet hurt and I sit 90% of the day… located inside the travel center… Ugh! Same old same old over and over… What can you expect from a multi-national chain? Pretty much slow service and huge lines!
Located in the middle of the Delaware Plaza, it’s usually incredibly crowded nonstop. Still, they’re efficient at keeping the line of travelers moving. I ordered my chai latte, it was was it was.

It’s a Starbucks in an off-the-highway rest stop. Hard to win from a service or atmosphere perspective. That said, the extraordinarily long line moved faster than I expected and the drink was as expected. A solid choice in a pinch.

So, kudos to this Starbucks for recognizing demand and having two kiosks in this rest stop. Despite the extra booth, they are still incredibly busy. I waited just over 10 minutes for an iced coffee. I felt like they were fairly efficient, although only two of the three registers were open. When you have a 10-minute line, seems like it’s logical to open up that third register. Not sure that they really needed that guy adding cups to the already full cup stack when there was only one girl making drinks too. They have the cooler out front with prepackaged yogurt, sandwiches and such, and they have pastries, but it does not appear that they do the hot breakfast. All in all, there are some steps this Starbucks can take to improve the speed in which it serves its customers.

Ordered $ 15 worth of coffee. Yes… Can you believe this place charges more than a Starbucks in Times Square New York City??? WHat the what? A grande Café Latte normally is 3.85 in Times Square this place is 4.20??? Is this place really 35 cents better??? really??? To top it off, there was no half and half. Who the heck keeps watch on supplies? I bring the 2 empty half and half canisters to the counter and tell the staff and the barista. This barista(dark skinny guy) just totally ignored me, like refilling half and half is beneath him. I’m standing there with these empty canisters for literally 10 minutes. I asked again only for him to act like he didn’t hear me. I have a loud voice. People across the hall heard me. The good thing was, the cashier that took my order saw that I was waiting. She came over to ask me what’s up and then got my a bottle of half and half FROMTHEBARISTA’S STATION!!! Anyways, she was cute too. But how dare that barista??? So because of the long wait, my coffee got cold and the half and half made it colder. On top of that the coffee was not as good as a normal Starbucks. Boooo barista. Attitude sucked. And his coffee sucked. Very disappointing all around. Except for the cute cashier who was helpful.

As with every other shop in this Travel Center it was packed and very hard to get around when I finally got to the counter she tried her very best to get my order to as quick as possible, but it was still too much of a hassle.

Wanted to give them a chance to redeem themselves from my last experience and they failed yet again. I hold Starbucks to a higher standard they charge enough to at least hire individuals who are willing to do their job to the best of their ability

Horrible experience. I went in at 1030pm and there were not many people at this location but they had to have had 10 people working. They were not well trained and very unprofessional. The young lady who made my drink had an attitude and called out drinks in the wrong order… Only go during the day.

Even with the gold card, you can’t get any free refill, you can’t use the rewards, they don’t tell you in advance anywhere, not good. :(

You might as well stop for some coffee since you’re probably going to be stuck in traffic for a long time on this section of I-95. The new Delaware Welcome Center building is actually quite nice, and has a number of other restaurants to choose from.
