I actually created a Unilocal profile to review this Popeyes. I was taking the bus from DC to NY and we had a 15 minute stop at this Welcome Center. I quickly joined the line of Popeyes to make sure I had enough time to also go to the restroom. There was a large family ahead of me and they obviously had never been to a Popeyes and didn’t know what to order. The problem I had was there were 7 people(really!!) behind the register and only one older guy taking orders. The other young ladies were laughing, standing around, hugging each other, and seemingly just lolly gagging. Myself and another customer asked one of the other girls if any of them would be taking orders since there was a line of customers and the family would be taking a while. The one who seemed to be the«manager» said no and continued on with fiddling with the other computer and talking. 5 minutes later(I have now been waiting about 8 minutes) they opened another computer and took more orders. I was waiting for my box when one of the girls said loud enough for me to hear«she seems like she has an attitude» to the«manager» who asked«which one?» In reply. I was obviously peeved and that just made it worse. I know it’s just a Popeyes and just a rest stop on the way to somewhere else but I just don’t think all fast food places have to be so obviously depraved of all customer service. I only gave them two stars because my chicken was good. Uggghh.

My family and I went to Popeye’s while stopping at the Delaware Welcome Center Travel Plaza, and this Popeye’s definitely is one of the worst ones that I have been too. Even the Popeye’s in mall food courts are better. This outlet didn’t have all the sauces that Popeye’s normally has, it just had boring ranch and buffalo sauce. The breading of the chicken strips was bad, and continuously fell off. The food at a normal Popeye’s is definitely better. Pretty much all the restaurant options at the Delaware Welcome Center Travel Plaza are bad, so I wouldn’t have high hopes for anything.

Had Popeye’s here twice in the span of two days. That was a mistake. The first day was fine, but the second day I upchucked my Popeye’s. Perhaps I was sick anyway, or I tempted fate by eating Popeye’s consecutively as I did. Either way, I was not pleased. Sure, the chicken was good during consumption, but if I’m throwing something up, I’m giving it one star. Lines were massive too.
