This is my favorite spot for kabobs and gyros. I was disappointed to see that it closed down so I had to see for myself. Its now America breakfast lunch and dinner spot. But there’s still hope! If you guys know about the original location across the way its still there.

We ordered falafal platter and chicken gyro sandwich. Chicken was not good though still eatable but falafals were literally stinking. We could not each much there, threw most of our food. Finally, went to taco bell to fill our tummy. We are not picky about food in general and we love mediterranean food, but this was a serious disaster. Never going there back.

I’ve driven by the place several times and decided to give it a try. I ordered the falafel gyro and my friends ordered the kabob plates. My falafel gyro came out, the bread was hard and the falafel was cold. Went to the owner who was more concerned about his Fabio hair and flirting with other women than the service he was providing. I told him they forgot to bring our hummus, and that my wrap was cold. He took a look and said they forgot to deep fry them. Good to know it’s not fresh and they refry them so I just asked to get a different plate which was the ground beef kabob. My friend ordered an extra side of rice to which they never brought out. So by the time my plate comes out my beef kabob was burnt, the hummus they brought out which they charge 4 dollars for was nothing but a thin smear of hummus on a plate. It was the worst hummus I have ever had. The owner didn’t apologize once for forgetting to bring out hummus and our rice, for food being either cold and now burnt. The salad on the plate had no dressing. All while he was treating his staff like dogs barking orders at them. I will never eat at this place again, I don’t suggest it to anyone just stick with deafghanan you will never be disappointed!

Oily and too much sauce. Felt sick after eating a pita sandwich. Will not be coming here again.

Some of the best chicken kabobs I have they are so juicy and flavourful. the plates come with the rice, bread, humus, salad(cucumber, onion, tomato, lattes, cilantro and dressing with yogurt sauce).it is tad price for every1(10 $-14 $)for kabab plate. they served me so fast not more than 5minutes. i really loved it the flavour of the kabab

Needing a quick informal bite for lunch in Newark, we stopped in to Saffron Grill. Despite the fact that they advertise a wide variety of things on the menu, it actually is quite a compact menu, which is fine. We sampled all of their kebab options, and it was all pretty tasty and the portions were generous for the approximately $ 10 – 12 that we paid for each entrée. My personal favorite was my beef kebab(like koobideh), but the chicken(chx breast) and shish(lamb) kebabs were likewise moist and delicious. All of our plates came with a generous amount of rice, green salad, couple triangles of pita, and a modest amount of hummus and yogurt sauce. This particular location is in a fringe strip surrounding New Park Mall. Parking is plentiful. Service is minimal but friendly. With food being cooked to order, there will be some wait but not unbearable. We will be adding this to our places to get take out when we move to Newark later this year.

We only had chicken kebab plates but they were delicious! My kids loved the food and the service was so friendly and kind. We didn’t have to wait very long for the food to arrive either which was super fantastic when you have kids with you! In a nutshell, yummy, well flavored and tender chicken, flavorful rice, tasty salad, good dollop of hummus, and soft pita! There’s saffron tea which is super fragrant and nice. I hope this place succeeds and gets more business because it is awesome! Definitely coming back!

Persian food at its finest! When i first walked in it looked like a small deserted resturant, but then I tried the food and it was Amazing! I used to drive 50 miles for med. food but now it’s right here! P.S: They have 2 resturants difference is that one has pizza.

My family loves Mediterranean Food and today’s experience was not delightful at all. The worker spoke broken english. We ordered our Gyro meat was dry, no dressing on the salad, they tried to pass of «Tzatziki» sauce for Ranch dressing. YUCK with mediterranean food. They forgot to bring our hummus and the hummus tasted like anything by hummus. White furniture in the place and it all looks terrible and dirty. Hope they read this and make some changes.

This place has some decent Mediterranean food. The place is a hit or miss though, the food here is good and very reasonably priced that is most of the time. Some time the food can be dry. I always get the gyro plate and it comes with rice, salad , pita and some meat. Most of the time the meat is tender and moist but sometimes it can be very dry. Hit or miss
