Legends Cafe & Grill

So i never order from this place cause they are over priced and very annoying but since a friend was ordering breakfast and they were the only place opened on Presidents day i gave them a whirl. What a bunch of criminals 5.50 for a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel plus 1.25 for can of soda. To top it off i called them to ask why the prices were so high and the girl told me shes been telling her boss to update the menus because they are wrong. I will NOT give them anymore of my money. Also to top it off they always have a guy outside on broad street shoving menus in people faces. They come across as a desperate drunk fat girl at the end of the night at a bar just begging for attention.

Nasty (except for the delivery driver). I ordered pancake platters that were supposed to come with eggs, hash browns, toast, & coffee. When the order arrived, one of the pancake platter was not a platter at all; it only had pancakes, no eggs, toast, or coffee.
I called and was told that I did not order the eggs, coffee, hash browns, and toast with the other pancakes (even though I told her I just clicked x2 to double the order. meaning the order should have duplicated). I tried to explain to the girl that the
system forced me to pick how I wanted my eggs and toast, coffee, etc.
Despite my being very nice and speaking to her with respect (and zero attitude), she then got very condescending and rude and asked «Well, don’t you think that $ 4.25 is very cheap for all that?» I responded to her by telling her that the system makes you pick and that I do not work there and have never eaten there so I do not know their prices other than what I saw on
.
She kept telling me that I got free food and that only the pancakes were $ 4.25 and I was not supposed to get all that other stuff. She in other words was telling me that I should be licking her boot heels since I got more nasty food for free (i’ll get to that in a minute). I suggested that maybe it was a glitch in the system. She said that she would contact
to straighten it out. I told her repeatedly that I never went to her establishment before and did not know that prices and that I am visiting from out of town and just wanted to order some breakfast. She closed by sarcastically saying «Congratulations, you got free food!»
The beef bacon was under cooked, cut way too thick and it had the consistency of a rubber band. It was inedible.
The pork bacon was very cheap and thin.
The hash browns were lackluster but not terrible
The eggs were boring and wet
The pancakes were very dry and gummy on the inside. I asked for extra butter but did not receive any extra. only a very small amount. Maybe a boat load of butter would have helped these supposed «buttermilk» pancakes.
The best thing about my order was the Pepsi but that goes without saying.
Apparently, these people are under the impression that they are the only restaurant that delivers. Despite the previous negative review that someone left, I decided to give them a try because they were slightly closer than the other restaurant.

Just ordered lunch here today. I had the Southwestern Chicken Salad. It was pretty tasty and the typical cost (8 bucks). The salad was fresh and crisp and it was delivered in about 20 minutes. Other good items include any of their burgers and their chocolate milkshake. Yum!

I had the most amazing breakfast!!! Greek omelette with free coffee and 6 ounce orange juice !!! Dessert early in the morning chocolate cookie and cinnamon apple muffin! ! !A MUST GO!!!

Grilled Chicken Sandwich — meat was grey, chewy and the mayo packets were all spoiled. Can’t see how a grilled chicken sandwich can go wrong but apparently it can.

My girlfriend and I work at a nearby school and decided to order lunch from here (rather than pack lunch). I would love to comment on the food, however we never received it. We will never be ordering from here again.

We stopped by before a taping of America’s Got Talent at the NJPAC. I had the Chicken Noodle Soup and my friends had the barley Soup. We then had various wraps and salads. Everything was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The waitress we had was wonderful. A very nice experience for all if us. Thank you.

Quick lunch before going to nj pack. This diner type restaurant was acceptable. Had lobster soup. Tasted like it came out of a can. Also had a pear salad which was ok.

Its a nice friendly place to get a quick meal. I went in today with my friend to get something to eat. The owner was very nice to us, the food was good too. While we were eating, the waitress made sure our meal was good and took care of our needs well. I would definitely go back there since I go to school nearby.

I found this establishment on grub hub and although the food looks like it would be good, I’ll never know. After placing an order in the amount of $ 30 and requesting delivery, I received a phone call from a grubhub representative stating that the 1.8 miles from Legends to my home is too far for them to travel for delivery. I’m very dissatisfied with there willingness to attract new clientele. I won’t be visiting the café, as this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. If you want to try Legends Café, make sure you’re picking up your meal.

Update– I still go to this place with my boyfriend when he visits me at work for breakfast or lunch. Tom is the owner and he is great! super nice and makes sure your order is right! The staff is also very fun and nice. They have daily and weekly specials, and I love everything I’ve ordered so far. The portions are large.
I absolutely love this place. This is my preferred breakfast spot, and I have been here a few times for lunch as well. The owner Tom is great. If i order to go I prefer ordering through him. The order ladies behind the counter seem a bit mean and i feel rushed when i order with either of them. So i stick with Tom. If i stay the waitresses are all darling. They are so nice and patient, especially with me and my indecisiveness. Anyway, the food is great, the place is super clean, and i think you get more than your money’s worth. The meals are all so large and you don’t spent very much. My boyfriend and I combined spent about $ 12 max for breakfast and come out stuffed and with our plates looking like we barely touched them. depending on your meal, you get a coffee AND orange juice, toast AND home-​fries or grits. So much food for very little. The quality of the food is also not sacrificed for the low prices.

Not a place you think would have a great salad, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Lots of places will list all the ingredients in a salad but then when you get it, it’s actually like a pound of lettuce and barely a couple olives and pieces of corn (or whatever special things it’s supposed to have). Not this Asian salad. Tons of wontons, pineapple chunks, walnuts, chicken… and everything with a yummy dressing. And a pretty well-​sized portion for the price. Would definitely get again!
