Breakfast is the best! Western omlettes, grits, homefries… You rub elbows with all airlines, genders and employees.

Save your money and go elsewhere. Food was meh, service was even worse. Our hostess came by a couple times when we ordered and then we never saw her again once the food arrived. This made things difficult as our order was wrong but we couldn’t tell anyone.

Not bad for an airport restaurant. Buffalow wings were delicious but a little cold. The burgers are a great size and the fries are delicious. Service was attentive. Overall a good experience.

It’s a cheap place with okay food. Sometimes you get a good chef and sometimes you don’t. They have daily special meals that are sometimes on point and sometimes they aren’t. The place is your regular diner it’s just located under the terminal for hard working airport employees. Its definitely a place you can relax and watch the games on TV then back to work. Best meal is breakfast anytime

GSC is my go to breakfast spot before I fly to some inferior state *cough cough* California *cough* that never figured out the whole diner«thing».

It’s a typical diner that just so happens to be in an airport. The reason it doesn’t have a better review is because of the service. I ordered the pancakes and a chocolate milk shake. I was told they didn’t have chocolate ice cream so I ordered chocolate milk. Then, the next table orders chocolate milk shakes and they were told yes. Afterwards, the waitress came back to me and said they had them and if I would like one. I said yes since that was what I originally wanted but didn’t feel like I should’ve been charged for both the milkshake and the milk. Sadly, I was and left no tip because that to me is terrible customer service.

Affectionately known as «Dino’s»(the owners name perhaps) everyone who works at EWR will know this«place in the basement». It doesn’t pay to go anywhere else upstairs due to the long lines and high prices. If you come down here you can get a fresh hot meal cooked right in front of you by a VERY fast short order cook. The food is actually very good. Everything they would have in a Jersey diner, they will have here.(they also own the Garden State Diner upstairs in terminal C). Overall the best value for your dollar and fastest service you’ll get if you don’t have lots of time for lunch. This is for employees only, as you must have an airport badge to gain access. If you are a passenger waiting for a flight, try the Garden State Diner instead. It’s the same food and just as good.

Located at the lower level, Terminal C. I come here once in awhile with co-workers when working late. For employees of the airport this is definitely the best place to get a decent, filling meal for under $ 10.00. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. As other reviews have stated it is open 24⁄7 so it very convenient no matter what shift you are working. They have plenty of TVs where you can watch the news, or sporting events while enjoying your meal. They have rotating daily specials and a wide variety of grilled items. I can’t believe this has only been reviewed by a few people. I guess not many EWR employees are on Unilocal

First of all it’s in the airport so I didn’t expect much. I was surprised! The food was cooked to order and the service was pretty quick which at an airport is very important. Looks like a diner with a menu to match which in Jersey fits the bill. If you’ve got ½ hour or so to kill and you’re hungry for some good comfort food at resonable prices then this won’t disappoint. Way better than a wrap or sandwich that’s been behind glass like a museum exihibt for who knows how long. Thumbs up for the diner!

Awesome employee only spot at EWR. Food is always hot and fresh and the price is right.

When I’m hanging out in an airport, my expectations are set just about as low as it gets. I’ve been through plenty of airports, and even the places that look half-way decent usually end up being terrible, with service to match. This place will not bowl you over. It will not make you fly more places just to get through security to visit the GSC. However, compared to other airport eateries? Atmosphere, service, and especially the food are all truly remarkable. Maybe I liked it so much simply because my expectations were so horrendously low, but either way, I walked out happy, full, and wishing I had a more active metabolism to throw down a shake!

Affectionally known as the ‘Soup Nazi, as far as airport dining is concerned, GSC is as good as it gets. Unfortunately(or fortunately depending on whose perspective you take) GSC is accessible only to airline/airport employees who work at EWR. Open 24⁄7. GSC features, among other items, a wide plethora of freshly made, custom order hot grilled items, including an excellent turkey burger, breakfast 24/7, rotating hot entrees(the roast pork and roast beef are excellent), and a nice assortment of ice creams. You can walk out fully satisfied, with a real meal, for around $ 8, which, for airport dining, is exceptional. The level of service received, primarily attitude from the short-order grill cooks, appears to be a function of your job at the airport.
