Fantastic Cuts Salon

Mary did my Japanese hair straightening, she took her time and was meticulous in her job. I would definitely go again and recommend her for anyone seeking any sort of chemical treatments for hair.

I went in for a hair do. This place has been around for a while. All the hairstylists are middle aged to old middle eastern women. The place has a stench and looks shabby.
A lady called Mary does the hairdos for $ 45 (+ tip). The hairdos that they do are old fashioned, kind of retro looking. I would go back to my old stylist in the Brookvale area who do a much better job at half the price.

I asked for minimal trim and aiza cut off almost 4 inches of my hair! I have terribly curly hair and never straighten my hair so 4 inches looks like 6. On top of that now my hair is very bushy. I said minimal trim. Plus I left the salon with half wet hair and had to stop at home to wash and style my hair before continuing my day because my curly hair was turning frizzy after leaving from a hair cut? 4 stars because my hair looks healthy (like it just got cut) but I’m not happy with the length removed.

Terrible. She’s really nice. However, my haircut was aweful. I showed a picture of my haircut and it looked nothing like it. Also, the line was completely uneven and bumpy. I will never go back again.

Let me tell you! This place is dope, I asked for highlights and a fade and my hair is exactly how I wanted it. She knew what color looked best on my skin, and my fade blends really nice.

Mary and her team of professional glam crew goes above and beyond my expectations of a hairstylist every time. Mary is very attentive and dedicated and wants you to look your best and listens to what you want. She has styled our friends and families hair for years and keeps up with the newest trends and styles. She’s a gem in Fremont!

I needed a last minute cut here for a wedding and was welcomed with open arms. Good customer service and a quality cut for men. Surprising for a beauty salon to cut men’s hair, but they knew what they were doing.

I came in today for a blowout and makeup for an event I have today… i look absolutly amazing. I found my new stylist! Thanks Mary!!!

I get Brazilian blowouts here every 3 months for the past 5 years and it is absolutely perfect! I love the results every time!

OMG!!! They DO AN AMAZING JOB!!! The reason why i said they do an amazing job is because one time i had me and 8 to 10 other family members with me for my aunts wedding and we WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZED at what a Great job they did. MEG was an AMAZING makeup artist and MARY was an AMAZING hair stylist. They were really really friendly and nice and had really nice vibes and like it felt like family and i just LOVED at what they did and WILL ABSOLUTELY COME BACK!!! (I came here in january and i literally might make this my permanent salon!!!))))))) BECAUSE THERE AMAZING

I have been going here since 2001. Mary colors and cuts my hair. The first time I went to see her, I showed her a picture of Jennifer Aniston’s haircut. She colored my hair and cut it just like the picture. I asked her how to style it and she took the time to show me. She sold me the same type of hairbrush she used to style it. The highlights on my hair seem to go to the core of the hair that it gives a lighter and sparkly tint under the sun making the highlights look as if there were three different shades. I love the way she does my hair. Even after I moved to Sacramento area, I still came to Mary to have my hair done. She is very knowledgeable about hair and the different products. There have been other customers with issues of dry hair (like myself) and she gives the right product to help keep your hair healthy and tells you how to use it. Her daughter is very talented with makeup. The staff are very personable. Always smiling. I highly recommend this place. I have been happy for thirteen years and counting.
The one thing this hair salon has that others don’t is the HAIR CARE that Mary has. If you walk into the salon wanting highlights and low lights. She will do it for you. But if your hair is damaged, she will give you samples and make recommendations and carry out repair at a fair cost. Then she will do as you ask. Mary can take one look at the hairstyle you want and make it. She is truly gifted!

Mary is able to look at you, your skin and recommend and choose a color which will
look good on you. She did for me. I really like the color she chose. I have not hair permed and color there and Mary does a good job.

Best haircut ever! Nisa goes above and beyond to make sure my hair is flawless and sharp. I come to this place every 2 weeks and I couldn’t have asked for a better barber. Keep up the 5-​star work !

Ugliest hair cut ever. Also, they did not shampoo or condition my hair and pulled my hair out when they straightened it. I saw the ladies arguing with a customer. Stay far away.

I’m only giving the 5 stars to Nisa! I’ve been going to her since I was about 14, now 22! She’s the only one I trust with my hair cut, color or whatever I need! Always has time for people and really makes you feel like a VIP guest and will tell you the truth on your questions and concerns! AND if you ask to cut 5 inches… she will only cut 5 inches unlike some other salons! If you ever ever need a cheap and good hair cut/​color go into Fantastic Cuts and ask for Nisa!!!

Love love love this place! I drive 2 hours just for Mary, and recently I had her do the ombré highlights on my hair and couldn’t be happier with the results. She did exactly what I pictured and more!

I happen to be in town for NYE and needed an oil change and a haircut. Luckily, thru Unilocal,I found both just walking distance from each other. Dropped off my car and walked over to the salon.
When I walked in, there was one lady on the phone as I waited at the front counter. It took a few minutes before she helped me but finally asked me what I wanted and sat me down, while she was still talking on the phone. I was telling myself, «if she tries to cut my hair while she’s still on the phone, I’m storming out of here.» She finally gets off the phone and breezes through my haircut. Simple fade and a little off the top. Usually it’s 15 – 20 min and I’m done but she’s done in 5 – 10 min. I look at my hair and it looks uneven. I ask her about it and she says I have too many cowlicks and that once she puts in gel it will look ok. I ask for a shampoo just to make sure. It still looks uneven as she applies gel but she insists that it’s my cowlicks. Not too happy since this is my New Years Eve haircut and want to look good, so I’ll just have my wife touch me up.
I get to the front and ask her about the advertised Unilocal $ 10 for $ 15 deal and she tells me that they stopped that a long time ago. I show her my phone and tell her it’s still advertised on Unilocal.She calls her boss and then tells me the deal is no longer good and they can give me 10% off. At this point, I just want to get out of here. Don’t they understand that I found this place through Unilocal and that if I have a bad experience, I will write a review on it? Well, I hope they do now. I picked this place cause it had some great reviews. I gave them a chance, but they failed horribly. Never coming back here again and would never recommend to anyone.
I believe in Customer Service and I got none!

I have been getting my hair done here for years and the women are very nice all the time. It is a very welcoming place and they get my hair right every time. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been going here for a few years. I get my hair touched up about every eight weeks and have my highlights redone about every sixteen weeks. I completely trust Nisa with my hair. She’s very talented in her craft. I get complimented on my hair regularly and I owe it all to Nisa. It was very difficult to find someone who could work with dark hair. Before I was referred to Nisa, my highlights looked orange or reddish and stylists could never match up the color or blend it so nicely. Often times I would have to get my whole hair colored and highlighted, each time I went in. That is not-​the case with Nisa. She can work with thick, dark hair. Nisa knows how to work with colors and she never recommends procedures that are unnecessary.

I’ve been getting my hair done here, for years. Nisa does an outstanding job! She is my only hair stylist! Thank you for your service and hard work!
