This place made me fall in love with fish tacos! I never really cared for fish tacos but their fish tacos are sooooo delicious! I seriously crave them all the time now! Their meat tacos are street style tacos and they come on one big tortilla which are also pretty yummy. They always have pretty good service(the few times I’ve been) I recommend you to try this place out!

Fresh, Fast, delicious and great cuatomer service. I have been ordering the veggie tacos or the veggies bowl, really tasty! Also, such great prices. Clean resturant and the owner is amazing. This is my new go-to lunch spot.

I really love the food here! I work nearby so I often come on my lunch breaks. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Fresh guacamole and you have to try the Al pastor!

Yummy food. Very clean — sparkling even. Really nice guys to help you with your order. Blackened fish tacos are tangy and spicy. Fills you up without heaviness. Burritos with steak, shrimp, black beans spiced just right.

If you want a damn good fish taco, Cal Eats, man. Literally a filet of fish in 2 corn tortillas, perfectly dressed and a little lime. Dang. I would definitely come back for that piece. My chicken salad was average, they gave me a ton of that spicy avo salsa verde salsa and I ended up dressing it a bit too much. The chicken wasn’t as juicy and tender as I like my chicken to be. The place is bright and clean and the guy manning the store was sweet as can be; a little bit of pleasantry goes a long way in my book. Not an authentic taqueria, but way better than your run of the mill chain.

Really fresh, clean place, and very friendly service. This is a tasty and trustworthy lunch spot. Only minor criticism is that it is a bit Americanized, and lacks authentic stuff like mole. You can’t go wrong here, though.

Found this new little place in Newark, CA that puts Chipotle to shame! Sorry chipotle. Everything had amazing taste, was cooked well and the staff were super friendly. If you’re in the area check this place out! I got a carne asada bowl with black beans, red onion, salsa, guacamole and lime! #YUMMY

This place is okay. They didn’t have any salad, only tacos and burritos which kind of sucked. I got the tacos anyway. They tasted okay but we’re not the best. The guac and chips were good though. The environment however was okay. It’s a nice place to hang out for a quick lunch and head back to work.

Really good food! My bf and i work nearby at tbon chon and we decided to check out cal eats because he was craving mexican food. We got one of each street-style tacos(steak is our favorite) and my bf also got a chicken burrito. Customer service was great and informative. We’ll definitely come back again! :)

I’ve been making my way through the Mexican food places/taquerias in the Fremont/Newark area, and had the chance to pick up a couple tacos to go from Cal Eats. They are located in a newer plaza by the Newpark Mall. I tried the Blackened Fish Taco(Cabbage Slaw, Chipotle Dressing, Pineapple Salsa, $ 2.95) & Steak Street Style Taco(Onions, Cilantro, Salsa, $ 1.75) [ , and both were ok, but not amazing. The blackened fish was the favorite out of two, since the fish was cooked well and it was more flavorful with the chipotle dressing. The steak was very bland, and not seared enough, but the salsa was good. I’m not in any hurry to come back, but if I did, I would would consider getting the blackened fish taco again, but would skip on the steak. Parking was easy at the time we went(around 4pm on a Saturday) since it wasn’t busy at that time, and the lot has a good amount of parking available.

Decided to try something different around lunch time, so I stopped by this place. I ordered a steak and shrimp burrito bowl, and it was really good! I could tell the ingredients were fresh and the steak and shrimp well seasoned. I’m going to say it… but I think this place is better than Chipotle :) I may come here frequently now. The customer service here is excellent and the employees work pretty fast, you’ll be out the door in no time.

Awesome Mexican food! Went here on a whim when I was in the area, and I was happily surprised. Everything tasted super fresh. I also really liked the art work on the wall, definitely has its own vibe.

Fish tacos?! What?! Now, I usually never wanted to try fish tacos, and I always stick to carne asada tacos. However, there was this curious feeling that made me want to try their blackened fish tacos. I have to say, curiosity killed my taste buds!(in a good way). The fish tacos were unexpectedly tasty. It consisted cabbage coleslaw, chipotle sauce, and top with Pineapple salsa. The fish was crisp, and the toppings just merge the flavors together perfectly. Best fish tacos i have ever had, hands down. Though the blackened fish tacos were wonderful, their burritos were quite a disappointment. I also got carne asada burrito with everything on top, except for salad. It lacked flavor and it was not the greatest. The restaurant is set up like subway/chipotle. You customize your burrito. The cashier was very friendly and accommodated to all of my request. I would definitely come back here again for those heavenly blackened fish tacos.

Stopped by for lunch after a morning hike with my mom. Both of us love fish tacos but the place we usually go to get them moved. Each of us ordered two blackened fish tacos, and I think it was about $ 12 without tip. The two guys working behind the counter and at the grill were very friendly and courteous. The tacos tasted fresh and the fruit salsa on top was awesome, however our tacos were extremely drippy/wet. Not sure why, but it didn’t stop it from tasting good– just required a lot of napkins to mop up.

I came here yesterday to satisfy my tacos cravings and they did not disappoint! The portions are p big and only $ 1.75!!!(which is way cheaper than most places). The green salsa that they put was tasty as well! Customer service was good too; they’re really friendly! Only bummer is that I think they don’t have horchata? Or well at least I didn’t see it on the menu! Other than that, I recommend this place

Found this place on Unilocal, seriously was not disappointed! Loved it! My girlfriend and I shared the Blackend fish taco, I got the Fajita Burrito and she got the Steak & Shrimp burrito. The steak was great, and the choices were awesome. They basically described it as the Subway of burritos and tacos. After you choose your plate, then you choose the type of rice, beans, and condiments/toppings. BTW, the guacamole was awesome. Then on top of that, the chips were great, need a little salt, but that’s my preference. Also, on top of that, the service was excellent. The guys took time to answer the question, give advice and explain why they like certain plates better. Definitely going back!

I was introduced to this place by my friend. I was blown away by how friendly, attentive & patient the workers are! I ordered a carne asada burrito with no beans(not a bean fan), Spanish rice, pico de gallo & whole wheat tortilla.(Which is a great option!) I also decided to add guac, sour cream & cheese(additional $ 1.50) they stuff your burrito so you get you more than what you pay for. My only regret is not adding a sunny side up egg. All the ingredients melt together so when you take your first bite, a burst of flavors erupts! There’s also a loyalty card so get one!
