This place is super homey, great service and food, finally found a place in Delaware with great pizza!

Food is above average for the area and the beer is mediocre for what I suppose you could call a microbrewery. However the atmosphere is dark and dive bar“ish”. But the actual place wreaked of a foul smell comparable to cat urine. Was not a pleasant experience.

This is a very fun brew pub with very friendly employees. The food is very good as well. I have eaten the Several types of Pizza’s as well as the salads. The salads are always very, very fresh. Depending on where you are sitting in the bar area, you can watch the chef make your pizza. The bartenders are very nice and always provides recommendations for food and drinks. The restaurant is also family friendly. I enjoy coming here during football season to watch the game on Sunday’s so that I can have a couple of beers, pizza and great company. Bön Appetit!

Beer selection is pretty good for their original beers, but their pizza steals the show for sure! It was a Friday night, and really busy, so the waitress was very apologetic for the wait times to get pizza. I didn’t think the wait was super crazy, I had a beer and the second one was delivered as the food was being delivered. Apps and fried things were rolling out fast, so it was just the pizzas that were taking a little extra time. We got two personal pies and split, so we could try both. We had the Brewers Guild and the Arugula Pie. Two far different pies, both were really good in their own way. Brewers is BBQ based, which is totally different, but so good. I will say the Jalapeño’s on it are fresh, with the seeds, and the hottest I have ever had. Very good, but man, I was sweating!!! Last piece I picked off, and the zing was still there! lol The Arugula was super fresh tasting with the tomatoes and fresh garlic and peppery arugula, it was a really good pizza. Service was good, we waited 5 min for a seat on a Friday at 7pm… All in all, I would def go back and try some more of the beers and pies!!!

I have been here several times in the past couple of years. Their homemade brews are always good. The menu for a while was somewhat lacking. They always have had good burgers and pizza but that was about it. I recently returned and was pleasantly surprised. They have upgraded their menu with lots of additions. I tried the Argilla Porkette sandwich and it was really good. Mondays they have Build Your Own ½ price burgers. Plus a few nights a week they have great local bands. The bartenders and management(owners) are very knowledgeable. You can tell that they have a passion for their home brews and food. They also really support and collaborate with other Delaware breweries which is awesome.

Pizzas good. Cheesesteaks good. Salads not worth the price of admission. Service — terrible.

Nick brought me here for my birthday. The waitress was very attentive, this was the best service we got in awhile here. It’s usually hit or miss. We started with fried pickles, and ordered the pork and peppers pizza which we have had before. The pickles were a little burnt but still good. The pizza was delicious! The band was just setting up as we were leaving, sorry we missed that.

We went on a Friday and or service was a little slower than expected but the food and beer was great! The prices were reasonable too and the bartender was knowledgeable about the available beers.

Still can’t find their way… I ordered a pizza to go about a week ago and it was BURNT! How do you allow a burnt pizza to go out the door? I shouldn’t have to check the pizza before leaving(especially for what you charge)! And the service is still mediocre, with the exception of Pete. He’s the only one who’s on his game.

I brought a softball team here because I’ve been here on Friday and Saturday nights and it has been great in the past. Don’t come on a Tuesday… one waitress in the entire place took 15 mins to seat us even though the place was empty. Waitress didn’t know the specials. out of red bull… out of Jack daniels? Out of all moonshine drinks? Food took 45 minutes and even then half the table ate while others waited another 15 minutes. Drinks came 30 plus minutes after we ordered them. The food was all good but the service was an absolute train wreck. Never coming back.

What is in Delaware? I’m not sure either, but this place was a pleasant surprise and find. They offer pizzas, bar food, burgers, and they brew their beer onsite. The beer is great and reasonably priced for craft beer. They have seasonal brews and the pumpkin ale ranks up there. We had the nachos with grilled chicken. You can substitute their house made beer cheese instead of nacho cheese for free and that decision is worth it. They offer happy hour specials on both food and beer which is great. The atmosphere of the joint was positive. If we lived closer to this place we would definitely go here more often.

Loved, loved the vibe of this place. We were there on a Monday night when they have live music. The place was hopping, but with a chill. People were dancing, drinking, strumming, and grooving. Beer was good; pizza was OK. The server made us feel like family. Overall a great night out.

I have to say that I have been to Argilla’s a handful of other times since this review. Its just a really convenient location for me and the only place in the Kirkwood hwy corridor that you can get a decent craft beer. Some of these visits were worse than others with literally everything I ordered being overcooked to oblivion. However the last time I was there last week was a pleasant experience. All of the food was prepared well. The service was good and the beers were good. So just like all of my recent reviews I say again consistency is key. if you can lock that down you will stay in business a long time.

This is without a doubt a hidden treasure in Delaware. First off, amazing pizza! I love the fact that they have a constantly rotating menu of beers that are made on sight! Great stuff. I’ve seen people complain because they run out of a certain type of beer now and then. It’s a true nano-brewery! No mass produced anything here. Argilla is also a great venue for local music, a rarity in New Castle county. I’m also a fan of their Old Bay Butta wings, scrapple burger and their various cheesesteaks! I highly recommend this place if you want a nice, relaxing night out.

I have never written a bad review about any restaurant because if I don’t like it I just won’t return. However, with Argilla this was one of the first places I went to when I moved to Delaware. One of my husbands workers raved about it. We went and it was delicious! Some of the best pizza we have ever had. Fresh toppings, crust wasn’t greasy but wasn’t dry. It was awesome. I recommended it to everyone and we even went there for a birthday. The service was slow but the food made up for it. I liked the atmosphere of the place; sort of cool, down to earth vibe. However, my feelings have changed. The service got worse and worse too the point where, I believe, there was only one waiter working and some cooks in the kitchen. The last time we went, and probably final time unless some drastic things change, it was extremely slow. It was my family of four and another family of four and two people at the bar. I keep reassuring my husband that we will forget about the service once the food comes… wrong. The nachos, which have always been my favorite, were disgusting. The chips were stale tasting and over cooked and instead of using fresh shredded cheese like they use too it was straight nacho cheese… like the stuff that comes out of a box. I am fine with nacho cheese… if I’m paying for $ 3 nachos at a little league game. Not $ 15 nachos that took 25 minutes to comes out. The veggies were surprisingly fresh but the cheese made everything soggy. Again, tried to reassure my husband that the pizza will make up for it. Wrong again. I ordered the arugula pizza which was my favorite pizza I ever had. Sun dried tomatoes, arugula topped on it, white sauce and fresh chunks of garlic, my favorite part. However when the pizza came out, no garlic. NOGARLIC. What’s the point of getting a pizza with minimal ingredients because the taste it suppose to be delicious. Just tomatoes and arugula. To top it off when I was looking around the place trying to figure out how my once favorite pizza joint turned into the biggest waste of my money I spotted a Costco like package of 2 liters of coke. Not fountain soda; warm, sitting out 2 lifters. My husband and I came to the conclusion that they are running out of money and cutting back on things. With all that being said, and I feel quit ridiculous writing this extensive of a review when usually I just say«this food is gross, I’m not coming back», I won’t be going back unless it goes back to how it was. And hopefully it will. I hope someone will appreciate the history of Pietros pizza and wants to bring fresh ingredients back and not cut back on the food. Also, the only reason I didn’t give this a one star is because it says one star is «the worst thing you have ever eaten», so I gave it a two star«never recommend the place». The worst thing I have ever eaten is the supposedly nacho cheese that comes out of an MRE(meal ready to eat) that they give to soldiers when they is no cafeteria or chow hall around… this was a close second.

Field trip to Dansko outlet led us here n it was worth the additional 30min drive. Did a flight the hoppy ale, Brown english n Quad were all good enough to write about. WHAT up with your growler rules? First im told u wont fill my growler only house growzler… then told U R out of house growlers… Bad Policy! Wings were ok got the Sirachi Maple Way Too Much Maple but deep fried descent(we were not asked about the other non-fried version like a regular was) .Lots of live entertainment later in the evening. Did not try the pie.

What a great place! The food is interesting and craft without being pretentious. Homemade fried pickles(great brine, crisp pickles with a super crunchy fry and amazing dipping sauce), smoked wings, nachos… you get it. The pizza is incredible. Thin crust with some char from the oven, fresh ingredients that are simple but work well together. Sandwiches are on point and always interesting and well thought out. And the beer — how delicious! Every batch is unique and tastey. I’m usually very limited on what I like, but enjoy most of their beers(if I don’t like it, it’s bc of the style, not lack of skill from the brewers). Atmosphere is relaxed and chill, they never rush us out and I love that! Service can be «slow», so if you’re in a hurry and hyper don’t stop in… but honestly, I love it. Every server is pleasant and knowledgeable and it truly is a place to go, sit down with a few beers and have some food… no one is breathing down your neck to finish and leave. They have live music sometimes and it’s great! Acoustic music ranging from folk to rock and roll to modern(think Coldplay or something similar). Overall just a great solid place to unwind, enjoy craft beer and homemade food. Enjoy!

Okay so we’ve come to really love this place. This is our usual Friday night spot for dinner and drinks. We usually sit at the bar, so there are always servers available for whatever we need. The beers are constantly changing, with the Happy House beer almost always available. The fries are fantastic; crisp and seasoned to perfection. We usually order the Bacon and Apple pizza, but when we want something simple, the basic pepperoni pie is always a good choice. The moonshine cherries are nice and strong, if you’re into that sort of thing. And, unlike most local establishments, Argilla has live music during the week, and even when there isn’t a band, the piped in music is always great. I haven’t spied any desserts yet, but then again I’ve never asked if they have anything. Is it Friday, yet?

We have frequented this establishment several times. Their burgers and pizza are fantastic and they used to have a great shrimp and avocado BLT, but they recently took that off the menu. Their sweet potato fries are the best in the area. We have ordered nachos twice but unfortunately, both times they came out cold and soggy. Overall, service has always been a little slow, something that I’ve been willing to overlook in an effort to support local businesses and have some good food. However, the service today was horrendous. Half of our order came out first and my son finished his entire mini pizza before the rest of our order came. My other son and I ordered nachos(second half of our order) and asked for small plates, which took about five minutes to get, while I saw our waiter standing around by the soda machine doing nothing. One waiter mentioned that it was very hectic, but there were only 5 tables full with two waiters working. There didn’t seem to be any sense of urgency in serving the customers. Overall, I’m very disappointed in my visit today and for the first time ever, left no tip. The service has gotten worse and worse since they opened and it will be a long time before I think about going back.
