My husband and I just went and had lunch with our family. Our server, Bryce, was wonderful. We asked for their yummy corn fritters and found out they are only served after 4pm. He went back and checked with the kitchen to see if they could make us some. They were able to and it was a huge hit for our 4 children. He was attentive and extremely friendly. My husband and I had the fried shrimp while our children had items from the children’s menu. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. This is our 2nd time going.

Ate here tonight and overall we were pretty happy and will be likely be back. That being said, we ordered the Otherside Tuna to start based on our love for tuna and the photos of the dish posted by other reviewers. Unfortunately the one we received was much smaller than the pictures and worth about half the price what we paid for it. For this reason, I can’t give the 4 or 5 stars I’d like to give this place. As far as entrees go, my husband went for the Cajun shrimp and sausage specialty and I had the poke tacos and onion rings. Our meals were out of this world and the flavors of our starter were great, but it should have been twice the size or half the price so beware of that selection.

I ordered the mussels. Not very good. Then I Ordered the calamari. Not very good. Then ordered a salad, came with no dressing. Then asked for the bill, they forgot. Had to ask a second time. If you want Good seafood in NSB at a good price go somewhere else.

8 of us had dinner, ordered lots of food, and all agreed the best part were the fries. Ha… the fries. Rock shrimp were good but small and pricey. I got 6 middle neck clams raw,$ 6 — the SMALLEST clams I have ever had. Very disappointing. About the size of my thumbnail @$ 1/each … Not even close to worth it.

When my wife and I were in NSB for the winter, this place became our go to place for lunch. Absolutely the best place for oysters in NSB. Great selection of beers on tap. Jamie at the bar is the best and the owner, Mike, is hands on to make sure your experience is as it should be. Definitely a 5 star place

Off the Hook Raw Bar & Grill is one of the best places for thoughtfully prepared seafood in New Smyrna Beach(beachside). It has become our«go to» place for seafood in a town with abundant choices. Tucked away in the beachside Publix-anchored strip mall(Indian River Village), it lacks the elegance of a stand-alone restaurant or the ambience of a dockside eatery. Don’t let those two missing attributes dissuade you – the service and food are excellent and the prices are reasonable. At our most recent visit, Stacey was our server. In addition, the owners have done a decent job with the space, creating an ambience that is inviting and unpretentious. We have only scratched the surface of the menu – and have only ordered seafood for our entrees – but we have been consistently pleased with the outcomes. What we particularly like about this place is that they source fresh seafood and then prepare it in a straightforward manner to ensure that the freshness and flavor of the seafood are never eclipsed by other ingredients or fussy preparations. That said, the Cesar salad was a bit bland on the two occasions we ordered it. Off the Hook has a full-service bar as well as nightly happy hour and dinner specials. There are abundant flat-screen televisions – tuned to sports channels – throughout the facility. Reservations are not accepted. Generally, we have not experienced long waits for a table; however, one Saturday – in season – we had a 40-minute wait(We hung out at the bar.). NSB tends to be an early crowd. If you don’t mind eating a little later in the evening, the crowd will have thinned.

Recently went there for dinner and I have mixed reviews about the place. My husband ordered a Mule and I a lemon drop martini with little to no alcohol in them. Then when we sent them back for the daily drink specials(that we heard a different server at another table) a man comes from the back very confrontational asking what drinks we wanted again after we had already had given it to our server(and she was standing right there) We had oysters for an appetizer and rock shrimp and Pokè tacos and it was really good, we are just disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism. Update: The only response I received on this review was a question of what time I was there and nothing else.

Here’s a really good seafood restaurant in NSB. It’s in the Indian River Shopping Center. It’s got a solid menu with good pricing. It’s family friendly. It’s got a good bar. The reason I’m writing this review is to tell you how great the service is there. I was especially happy that Chelsea was our server. My brother, my best friend, my kids, my brother’s kids and myself went there on a Friday night. There’s 6 of us. We’re sat immediately. Our server, Chelsea, comes over and gets our drink order, takes care of the kids with menus and drinks. She told us about the specials, and she took our orders. She comes back with our drinks and keeps checking in on us. This is where she showed us what great service is. Every time she came over either my brother, friend or myself were being sarcastic with her. She laughed it off and joked back with us. This went on for an hour. She never got tired of our stale humor, she actually was very good at handling our kind of humor. She made the whole thing all the better.

After posting my review, I received a very nice email from the manager and owner. I would try it again just for the fact that they cared enough to correct the dining experience.

This place continues to have great food at a great price. My wife gave high marks to the Cobb salad, my poke bowl was a generous and delicious portion, and both the clams and oysters on the half shell were fresh, cold and delicious. Bryce did a great job, and provided quick professional and customized service. 10⁄10!

Let’s see, you would not guess based off location what a gem this place is the restaurant/bar was very clean and their staff was very friendly. We came here on a Sunday(for the oyster happy hour). We were seated in the bar area in a very comfy booth, there were a lot of people and and plenty of tvs to watch the games on. Oysters came out first, they were from Louisiana and they were BIG! Great quality not fishy or slimy, they offered 4 types of hot sauce and also had cocktail sauce and horse radish. For 9 bucks this is a deal can not be passed up. We also had the New England clam chowder which was equally delicious and definitely tasted homemade. Their house salad how ever simple was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend coming in for a bite to eat and their drinks are pretty great too.

I visit New Smyrna Beach from time-to-time; a friend of mine’s parents have a vacation home there. We were in town not too long ago, having a hankerin’ for seafood and her parents said when they’re in town they enjoy coming to Off The Hook. I specifically wanted some fried shrimp, so we decided to pop in and give it a try. I’m glad we did because my craving was not only satisfied but everything we ordered was delicious. Fried shrimp basket which included about half a dozen friend Gulf Shrimp(I ended up with about 10 — I think the server liked me), onion rings, and green beans. Yeah — that’s exactly what I wanted and it was all delicious. Nothing terribly out of the ordinary about the shrimp, but they were definitely tasty. Interestingly, the green beans might’ve been the most enjoyable thing about the selection. They were so full of flavor, cooked in some sort of oil(couldn’t quite put my finger on it). As far as the atmosphere, it’s pretty basic. It’s obviously a seafood restaurant so there are some kitschy decorations throughout. It’s also a little«sportsy» — there are several big screen televisions surrounding the bar for those customers who want to catch the latest game — whatever that may be. All-in-all I’d definitely recommend this place for a

Good service, nice atmosphere, will definitely come back again. The gumbo soup was fantastic, the clam chowder was amazing. You could tell they used fresh, whole clams and there wasn’t a speck of grit or sand in them. Nice and thick and rich. I ordered the seafood caviatappi and not only were the noodles cooked perfectly but all the seafood was done right on point as well. Again, no grit in the clams/mussels. The sauce, while it looked creamy, was not the sweet, cheesy alfredo that I expected, but rather a pleasantly surprising tart lemony-wine sort of cream sauce. Unfortunately, the crawfish étouffée was a bust. More rice than étouffée and had barely any flavor beyond tomato. The roux wasn’t nearly dark enough and my dad swore it tasted fishy rather than spicy/crawfishy. But the manager came over to see how we were doing and apologized, asked if he could get my dad something else. We refused, it wasn’t bad, just wasn’t what one would normally expect out of étouffée. I really want to go back and try any of the mussel or clam dishes that come with bread, because my pasta came with a chunk and it was delicious — crusty outside, soft inside, yeasty, and I can imagine how good it’ll taste soaking up some seafood broths.

A few blocks away from the water but worth the effort as this joint offers delicious and fresh seafood featuring a menu filled with options for the entire family. Take advantage of the oysters on happy hour at a dozen for $ 9. Yellow fun tuna tacos were a new experience and did not dissapoint
