As it get’s harder and harder to find good pizza(and pizzeria’s), it’s places like this that keep my hopes alive. Located a reasonable distance to where I work, I came across this place while exploring good lunch options and was glad I did. There are other pizzeria’s in the area, but if you’re a fan of dough, tomato sauce, and cheese just slapped together then enjoy by all means. I like actual PIZZA, so finding Fratelli’s was a blessing. They of course do have other items on the menu, but so far I’ve only had their pizza. From what I can remember from the menu, the pricing is about what you would expect these days. Inside is a pretty decent atmosphere. They have several tables inside, though it’s a little tight and confining — during the summer, they put a table or two outside the front as well. It can get crowded at certain times, so if you intend on eating inside you might not always get a seat you want… or at all. The place is pretty clean and that is important these days as well. Staff is about what you would expect — friendly to friends and regulars, reasonable to blah to the other customers. I’ve never really had a complaint about this place in the times I’ve been here aside from the lackadaisical service at times. Most of the time it’s the old man and the middle aged man. Fast pacing is a problem during busy times and they need to either get another person in the front or they need to come up with a better system. One day while I was there, the«son» took his time between walking to and from the kitchen and answering phones while I stood there for well over 5 mins(felt like longer) just waiting to order 2 slices — finally the old man came to me. Look, I understand you’re busy and I know how it is, but a simple«be right with you» or «be with you in a minute» is not so hard to ask for from a paying customer. If you call in a pick up order, I would recommend calling 30 minutes earlier to ensure your food will be there when picking it up. There is no parking lot, so you’d need to park on the street or one of the residential streets in the area. Would be 4 stars if better service to the average patron. So if you’re on the north end of New Rochelle(near the Larchmont border), you might want to check this place out if good pizza is your desire.
