Econo Lodge

My boyfriend and I stayed here in December 2015 on a Saturday night and it was $ 80 (booked on the spot). The rooms had recently been renovated so they were really clean and simple, and the wifi was free and fast. The room was pretty bare-​minimum but for a motel I’m really not expecting much to begin with.
There was continental breakfast in the morning, which we didn’t eat, included decent coffee, OJ, bagels, mini-​muffins, toast, yogurt, bananas, etc. But they didn’t have those flippy waffle makers that other Econo Lodges have :(
The staff was very friendly — Melinda at the front desk gave us some nice options for dinner and breakfast. In the morning she kept the breakfast out past 10 which was really helpful.
We felt like $ 80 was pricey but there aren’t tons of other options in the area. Overall, it was a totally fine experience.
If you’re looking to be wowed, you probably shouldn’t stay at motels.

Rooms are renovated and very clean. Everything in rooms are new. Staff is super nice and considerate. The lady in the office kept the breakfast out for us until noon. We forgot so much stuff and she was so helpful.

Terrible terrible service I do not recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy

Everyone is giving this place crap reviews because they are comparing it to something it is not.
It’s a small motel. The receptionist greeting our stranded souls was super nice recommending delivery choices and even a mechanic to fix our car.
The room hasn’t been stayed in for a while, so the water in the pipes needed to be flushed a bit (just turn them on for a minute and its fine). The water tastes a bit minerally, so if you are not used to well water, buy some bottled water.
The heat works, we have running water, the TV works, the bed may not be a Sealy posturepedic, but Rino’s delivery made up for all the imperfections.
It’s a motel that doesn’t get much better than what it is. Take it or leave it, but it’s better than the super 8 or other motels closeby.

This was by far the worst place i have ever stayed in. The building itself looks and feels as if it is going to fall apart. Walking up the stairs to our room, i thought they were going to give out beneath our feet! The room (room 216) was filthy! My boyfriend must have killed about 15 flies, and there were dead ones all over the windows that we didn’t kill ourselves! The heat didn’t work. The shower water would not get hot the first night… second night, it got hot but wreaked of sulfur, and it never went away! We smelled worse getting out of the shower than we did going in! I was afraid to brush my teeth due to bacteria. Disgusting! And the girl at the front desk was NO HELP. Our weekend getaway was half ruined because of where we had to sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE. OH and you for sure don’t want to stay here if you are bringing children, it is about ten feet away from a strip club.

The smell of a sewer leak and mold drove us out of our room within 5 minutes of our arrival. The Dept of Health ought to be alerted.
The room had lumpy beds that looked like they haven’t been changed since the 70s.
Disgusting.
I’d rather sleep in my car.

I must’ve stayed here like 5 different times, probably more, and it NEVER gets better. Some of the rooms have a funky smell to them. The water has a slight funk to it. On a couple of occasions, I’ve noticed trash from previous guests around the room. Like an empty plastic soda bottle laying in the corner between the couch and the end table, for example. If you desperately need a place to crash, and can’t afford hundreds of dollars a night at the Mohonk House well, it’ll do. But don’t expect much other than a place to hang your hat for the night.

Super thin walls and when I turned the shower on the bathroom started to smell like crap… literally.

On a trip with my sister, about 10pm looking for a hotel when she started to drive in and then yelled «Oh My God! No way» and then backed out because… It is right next to… a strip club. So if that’s your flavor go for it!
