Big Jim’s has redeemed itself after a bad experience over a year ago. The penne a la vodka is amazing. Their vodka sauce is out of this world. And the pizza is great. :)

The food is cheap and I guess that’s why it doesn’t taste good. I ordered one of their $ 4 dinners from the dinner menu. The presentation was horrible and it tasted awful. I had to tell the waitress to take it back and bring me the basic pasta with meatballs which was not impressive either. Anyways, if you are looking for great quality Italian food this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a check under $ 20 for three people and don’t care about the taste go ahead.

Ordered here for the first time. Never again. The pizza was soggy, soft and squishy. Horrible presentation Taste: I know you always need to add a touch of sugar to tomato sauce, however you can taste the sugar on the pizza and on the crust. We called only to advise, the young lady on the phone said they will give us a credit on a future purchase. Price: $ 17! Yeah… No there won’t be a next time.

Pass this place. I’ve only been here twice first time for a slice, and it was probably one of the worst slices I’ve ever had. Second time a slice was still horrible and the chicken parm was horrible. I’ll stick to Italian connection or uncle Frank’s.

The basic side salad is so perfect for me. It has a great mix of veggies. Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, red onion, green and black olives. I have them throw some chicken on it for me. Once I chop everything up and add a dash of dressing(the creamy Italian being my fave), it is so perfectly flavored. I’m amazed every time I have it. Great value for the amount you get. I’m not one for sacrificing flavor because I’ve become quite the foodie over the years due to where i work. Basically I wouldn’t steer you wrong. I also enjoy their pizza. I don’t care what anyone else thinks, I have had pizza from different places in the area and by far they have the most flavorful combo of dough and toppings that compliment each other. I look forward to trying different things from there as I think I will be pleased.

Often for occasions, my school orders from this place… pizza is ok-exceptional. It is truly hard to f up pizza to where it sucks. This place makes just ok pizza… EVERY time my school orders from here, the oil leaks off and the crust comes off black and burn on the bottom. Crisp is something, but these pies are burnt and bitter… yeah, I’ll pass

At this point I would like to consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur, having tried pizza from all over as it is one of my favorite foods. I was very displeased both times I tried big Jims plain pizza. By the time the pie arrived at my house which was literally about 30 seconds from Big Jim’s, my slices were soaked and falling apart from the amount of grease soaked throughout. The crust had no flavor whatsoever. For those that think this is good pizza, I truly wonder if they have ever had anything else to compare it to.

Grew up around the area so this is one of two places I normally would order from. The pizza is pretty good for around here. Tonight, I got a chicken parm hero with vodka sauce instead of read sauce. It’s pretty big and the vodka sauce is good. Fast delivery. Only took 28 minutes when we were told 45. Good service.

deceptive advertisement. they advertise $ 7 large pizza. We order on the phone, show up, and then charge us $ 14… to keep it simple. the pizza wasn’t even worth $ 7. dont waste your tastebuds.

Pizza’s alright. But a coupon prompted me to go. $ 6.95 for a large pie and $ 3 per topping. Fair. Turns out, for some reason, chicken counts as 3 toppings LOL without saying it anywhere. So it was $ 6.95 for the pizza and $ 9 just for toppings. Also, their debit card reader wasn’t working. So had to use their atm for another $ 2 charge. Price escalated real quick. Won’t be going back. Too many other choices. Be straightforward in your ads.

I have no idea about what kind of pizza everyone else eats but this was honestly the worst. Cheese tasted nasty, was platic-y, barely any sauce to keep the cheese on and it wasn’t cooked well. Not only that was told it was going to be 45 minutes, ended up being an hour and 20. Waste of money.

We ordered food… An hour and half later the food wasn’t delivered, so we called and turned out the food was still sitting there. We wouldn’t want to eat cold food that had been sitting there for a long time, so we asked for new food, they said they would but instead we received the same food that had been sitting there. Food was not good and terrible service. The delivery guy lied to us by saying he had come before but he hadn’t… Would not order again… Unless we want reheated food that had been sitting for a long time

Pizza is doughy and typically cooked very«light.» Girls that answer the phone are rude and constantly put you on hold when you are trying to place an order. There is too much competition locally to put up with Big Jims mediocrity.

Large cheese pizza delivered was $ 16.50 plus tip. And the crust was oddly sweet. Would never go again. Even if the pizza was awesome.$ 16.50 is just too expensive for a cheese pizza!

I have been ordering from here for years and this to me is one of the best pizzerias in Bergen County! Given every pizza place is pretty much the same but this one uses the best quality ingredients I feel, and you can definitely taste it in their products. They also happen to have the most amazing honey mustard I have ever had. Everything I have tried from here has been great. I recently ordered from here the other day while in the area at my friends housewho happens to live rite around there so we figures lets order up some grub. We got mozzarella sticks, garlic knots that were to die for, Baked ziti, a large meatball pie, I ordered a chicken parm but with vodka sauce in replacement of marinara and a 2 liter of sprite. The mozzarella sticks were perfect had a great stretch factor that I look for in mozzarella sticks, as most people should lol. The garlic knots were huge and full of garlicy goodness and came with marinara sauce for dipping. The baked ziti we got Sicilian style which has ricotta cheese in it was really good. The large pie was perfectly cooked as usual with big chunks of meatball on top. The Chicken I got was so good and flavorful with the vodka sauce added to it I couldn’t go wrong. The chicken was juicy and tender. We ate everything it was so good I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Bergen County area, and ps they always send out coupons so keep an eye out for them!

The Sicilian is better than their regular slice. I believe that most people aren’t fans of the Sicilian because of the amount of dough. I’m talking in general here, not at Big Jim’s. A good Sicilian slice is thick, but it will be coupled with a generous layer of cheese and healthy amount of sauce. The crust and the bottom of the slice will be crispy. Big Jim’s nearly nails it. Parking will be a hassle if you’re here any time after 5pm so take that into consideration. There are only two hi-tops inside the pizzeria. Each hi-top has two stools. I’m not sure if there is a dining room next door, but I did notice a door leading to another room. The carry Snapple Orangeade and an array of Boylan sodas. The drink selection is definitely a plus. The cheese slice is decent. A bit on the chewy side, but the cheese and sauce work fairly well with one another. The cheese has a yellowish finish which was brought on by the amount of oil that was secreted. The Sicilian slice was much better, but the crust wasn’t as crisp as I’d prefer it to be. They definitely get a lot of local business and they’ve been around for a long time. I remember seeing coupon flyers when I was in elementary school. But in the hierarchy of Bergen County pizza, it’s middle tier. Because of the Sicilian…
