River Edge Pizza Kitchen

So many delicious gluten free options! Had gluten free rice balls or amaze balls as the owner called them, eggplant parm, pasta and Hawaiian pizza. So good! The husband and wife owners, Francine and Roberto were the sweetest and nicest to talk with! Their grandkids have Celiac so they totally understand it and have a personal connection to it. Will definitely go back for the food and good company!

Great pizza great service and the best gluten free dairy free food u can find absolutely no place in New Jersey that has such an amazing gluten free menu u can’t get this for anywhere else no one makes it!

This review is purely based on a phone call to this establishment on Saturday 7÷11÷2015. I simply asked to confirm what items/​ingredients are put onto 2 sandwiches and the lady rudely stated something like, «I don’t have time to go through our entire menu. We are very busy right now so feel free to come here to look at the menu.» They must be doing very well if they talk to people like this so maybe their food is ok but there are plenty of options so they shouldn’t get too comfortable. Needless to say I will never order from them and I will make sure to spread the word about their rude service.

Excellent food, simply made with fresh ingredients many from Italy. Almost everything on this menu can be made GLUTEN FREE!!! Had one of the best eggplant rolatini I have ever eaten and it was Gluten Free! Ordered GF pizza. My daughter was in heaven. The sauce on the pasta was delicious with tons of flavor. This restaurant is celiac safe.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had. The soup is homemade and we wound up buying a second order to bring home with us. The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY and special attention seems to be played to each order.
I would eat here all the time if I lived any closer.

I was craving pizza for weeks and I had been passing by this place ever since it opened. I finally decided to try this place out tonight, and I am not disappointed. I ordered a plain pie. Everything from the sauce, the dough, and the cheese was amazing. Friendly staff and delcious pizza. Probably the best pizza in River Edge.

River Edge Pizza Kitchen serves fresh and tasty thin crust pizza. If you don’t want thin crust, you might want to look elsewhere.
It’s a small place on Kinderkamack with indoor seating and a TV. I have tried this place twice so far and the pizza was great both times. This time, I got a large pie with pepperoni and black olives, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks. The thin crust pizza is very tasty with fresh toppings. The sauce is also good too (doesn’t taste too sweet). The mozzarella sticks are also amazinggggg. I highly suggest them. crisp and delicious. not too much breading.
The staff is very friendly as well. There is street parking right out front.

I am increasing my review for this pizzeria to 5-​stars from 4-​stars in the «standard pizzeria that delivers in my neighborhood» category. The main reason I am updating my review to 5-​stars is in addition to the above average pizza quality described in my previous review, today I noticed that the mozzarella sticks are actually freshly made and hand breaded compared to the typical frozen sticks found at 99% of standard pizzerias. The antipasto I ordered was also excellent with the correct amount of dressing, and flavor galore, not your typical pile of deli ham on a salad.
Personally, I find some of the previous negative reviews based on interaction with the owners/​employees entertaining and amusing. I have met them and spoken with them several times in the pizzeria and found them to be typically pleasant, Italians.
I just ordered delivery after completing another rotation around the local standard pizzerias and wound up back where I started. As far as pizza delivery in my neighborhood goes Riverridge Pizza Kitchen wins. Keep up the good work! Next time I’ll take some pictures.

The owners have zero child tolerance! You would think a pizza place would be the perfect place to grab some quick lunch for your kid, but the owners here gave us dirty looks and we actually heard them say «…and they think they could bring them to places like this!» I had to ask them if they had a problem with us staying there and the woman just said «nope,» and walked away. Our children were not even doing anything out of the ordinary besides laughing loudly and walking around their seats while the owners took forever to make a large pizza. Please bear in mind that this is a hole in the wall where everything appears sticky and gooey and we had to keep asking our kids not to touch anything. We immediately paid and walked out with our food after it was brought out to our table. We also let them know we would be sure to leave reviews. Horrible owners and a horrible experience. Our pan pizza tasted like the frozen pizza at A&P. Also, I did see the owners being very friendly to the only other family in the restaurant. I don’t know why they were especially rude to us. It may be that they don’t appreciate anyone other than white people at their restaurant.

I came here with my wife and two kids. The kids were being a little loud but not making a mess or anything. The owners kept giving us dirty looks the entire time. The pizza took forever to come out and the lady was saying how could we even bring kids to a place like this, as if it was some fancy French restaurant, and not the hole in the wall pizzeria it actually is. We were the only customers there and not disturbing anyone. We took the food to go and will never come back. If you have kids or speak louder than pindrop silence, this is not the place to go.

Great food great service. Francine and Roberto are like visiting your Italian grandparents. Best pizza crust I’ve ever had.

Great healthy Pizza. Our kids got rewarded with 2 lemon icecreams by the owner, one of the best gellatos I’ve tried in the USA. Plain, simple, nice and fresh.

I am posting this review without trying the food. I stopped in yesterday and walked in and walked out. I walked because the lady working there was smoking a cigarette while handling the cheese in the back. NASTY.

Disappointing experience with customer service.

Ordered a meatball and garlic pizza which was so good! Ingredients were fresh and the flavor on the meatballs was amazing. The woman on the phone was incredibly sweet and the delivery was fast. Since they are nearby I’ll be ordering more often.

We came here because we heard about the gluten free options and was very excited. Our expectations were met. They have 2 options for GF pasta — fettuccine and penne. Both tasted like real pasta. We also had amazing GF garlic bread with cheese as well as GF meatballs. To top things off the owner and her husband were very nice and gave us a complimentary GF chocolate cake which was very rich and delish. We will be visiting this place again for pasta and to try the pizza and other dishes.

Ordered from here only once, but the woman on the phone was pleasant, delivery was fast, and the pizza was good. It was also reasonably priced.
I will definitely order from here when my next pizza craving stirs and will update my review based on consistency.
Sometimes all it takes is a friendly voice on the other side of the phone. Most pizza places you can’t hear what they are saying, are short with you (not necessarily rude), and lack patience.
I feel like this place is friendlier and I can appreciate that.

Delicious. Veal parm sandwich is delightful. Meatballs are very tasty. Garlic knots! They are made fresh to order… possibly the best knots I ever had. In fact, I believe everything is made to order. And that just makes it even more special.
Gluten free items for those who need it and they are very good. The gluten free meatballs… I bet you can’t tell the difference. I couldn’t.
The place is a little pricey but the food makes up for it. I don’t order the pizza so I can’t comment on that.

My girlfriend and I enjoy coming to this place. They have a great gluten free menu! We usually share the pasta and order extra gluten free meatballs. Those meatballs are worth driving out there for. They now have gluten free garlic bread as well. .
Since I’ve been diagnosed as a celiac, I’ve been on a mission to find places to eat that are accommodating to my new diet.
These are good People that provide good service.. I’ve been there a few times and haven’t had any issues, so I’m going to keep going back..
