Great menu… they have daily and weekly food and drink specials. Brunch deal is probably best in the area. Joanne behind the bar will make you a regular !

The wait staff was extremely unprofessional. We had to ask for things over and over like water refills which never appeared. Food was substandard and the place needs a huge facelift. Huge chunks of peeling paint on the ceiling and the smell near the rest rooms was disgusting.

This place should be better. I want it to be better. I live down the block and want to go here more often I just can’t bring myself to do it. I think the food is decent but for the prices they have I always seem to go elsewhere. The burger is good the Mac and cheese is excellent, everything else I’ve tried is decent but nothing stands out. I’ll always continue to keep giving this place changes and it will continue to let me down ever so slightly.

We were seated next to the windows on the bar side. The woman who welcomed us and seated us was absolutely sweet and understanding. The waiter was really kind and helpful. If you ever go to Tavern 18, don’t be afraid to stuff your face with their complementary bread — it’s the best bread I’ve ever had. As far is drinks go, we had coffee which was alright. Nothing too spectacular for $ 3. I ordered the ribs, which –for some odd reason– tasted moldy. I couldn’t scrutinize because there was a heap of sauce over the meat(the sauce was sweet and savory, while the meat was so soft), but that aftertaste of mold caused me to leave half the plate uneaten — which was a big waste of $ 20. Not entirely sure if the ribs were legitimately old or if they purposely had that aftertaste as a result of different enfused flavors. The fries, however, were perfect. The hangar steak(around $ 25) was exceptionally cooked(medium well) and –I believe it was mint– sauce worked very well with it. The ambience was candle-lit and very intimate. People were seated far apart that you could hold a private conversation, yet hear an overall mumble in the environment around you. Will return again, but definitely staying away from the ribs.

Only thing saving this place is bottomless cocktails during brunch. You can choose from Bloody Mary, mimosa, Bellini or sangria, best part you can switch it up! Avoid the brunch pasta, it is oily tasteless and the penne is too soft. The food really isn’t amazing but for all you can drink at $ 22 you can’t beat that!

Really great food and drinks. Last year my boyfriend and I went to manhattan searching for a good place to have unlimited mimosas and tasty breakfast, we had no idea Tavern 18 offered everything we were looking for. We really enjoyed their brunch menu and unlimited drinks. The portions were huge and very tasty.

Came here with a party of 6 people. Started off with the server only brining bread for 4 people with 6 people at the table. Service was extremely slow. My wife ordered the short rib ravioli. It came out freezing cold and the plate looking like someone had just plopped some blob in the middle of the plate. The sauce was thick and congealed. This dish was sent back and replaced with one that looked better, but was just as cold. made me think it was something frozen and stuck in the microwave. No one from the server to the manager really seemed to care that they could not prepare this dish correctly. When they came over to see if she wanted something else, they didn’t even offer a menu or a way to make the situation right. The rest of the food was not good enough to make me want to go back

After reading the reviews, I wasn’t quite sold on Tavern 18. I flip-flopped between a few other restaurants for a bit when finally, due to logistics, I settled on it – with a bit of uncertainty. I made an 8pm reservation and we were set. We arrived a bit early and the place was buzzing. Full bar and dining room. We had a drink while we waited for friends and the beer list was expansive. So far, so good. We were seated on time and at a great corner table. I noticed that although a full house, the noise was not deafening. We were able to speak without screaming and no one had to say«what» when spoken to. Yay! We ordered salads to start and the food came out quickly and was tasty. For mains, two had the short rib special, one had the fried chicken and waffles and I had the half roasted chicken. Food came out quickly(paced perfectly) and was surprisingly very good! Large portions too-three of us had leftovers to take home. We were never rushed and the experience was relaxed. All in all, I would say that if you are in the area and looking for a place to gather with friends for drinks, a bite and a good time — Tavern 18 is a great choice.

Came for Sunday brunch, great deal and amazing food the service was also very good. Nice and fun atmosphere. I had the egg BLT and a mimosa and was very satisfied with everything. My sisters had the bourbon French toast and eggs florentine. Everyone was extremely happy with the food in service. Great spot in the neighborhood!

Very reliable restaurant. I come here about once a month because my mom lives nearby and we know the food is good. My favorite choices on the menu are the burger and the crabcake Caesar salad. The burger is moist, cooked to your liking, and very tasty. Crabcake Caesar isn’t overly dressed, but you can still taste the dressing. Also comes topped with grilled corn. Nice touch! Crabcakes are more crabby than bready and that makes me happy. Mom enjoyed her Bloody Mary, and I got a glass of Cabernet. Wait staff is reliable/dependable. Happy to continue coming here.

I’ll keep it brief. Brunch was cold, nothing was seasoned(even the home fries). Veggie omelet was more of an egg taco, and contained more mushroom stems than caps. Eggs benedict had only a sprinkling of hollandaise, and the egg whites were runny. Passionfruit mimosa came in a wine glass with ice — that being said, it was tasty. The service was friendly and accurate and, apart from the basket of warm crusty bread, probably the best part of our experience. We might go back for drinks at the bar, which looked nice, but we will not return for brunch.

My favorite restaurant in the area. Excellent appetizers and whiskey selection. A great craft beer selection which is updated on a monthly basis. Oysters to die for and a Steak Au Jus sandwich that can’t be beat. The bread that comes with dinner is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

I’ve dined at Tavern 18 two times without an issue. however, this time i went with a large group(reservations were made a week in advance). our brunch party started at 11, but they did not open the doors until 11:10 am. We were told that another party would be coming in at 1pm. Ok now that should not be a problem however, if you only have 1 server for a party of 16, clearly the time schedule will not work out. It was until 11:35 when i complained that our server obviously needs help since we are a large party, only then did they have the sense to send additional help. coffee was cold, they had to re-serve all the coffee. our orders were not placed until 11:50am …we had to scarf down our food then i believe the woman that came up to us was a manager… she comes in and announces that we basically need to hurry up since they have another party coming in at 1pm… SOWAIT … You open the doors late, only did you provide only 1 server UNTIL I HADTOCOMPLAIN… and take our orders late and then want us to hurry up so the next party can come in … AREYOUSERIOUS? CLEARLYTAVERN18CANNOTHANDLELARGEGROUPS … WILLNEVERGOBACKORRECOMMENDANYMORE… I had to have a «conversation» with the female manager and she was clearly, being negative, defensive, and not accommodating all.

Love this place and I want to come back! Haven’t been here in over a decade and decided to try their Sunday Brunch out this past Sunday. I was not disappointed and neither was my family. I called first to make reservations since I saw on their website that there is a 2 hour limit on seating. Boy oh boy was this a good idea! I made a reservation for Brunch at 1pm. When we first walked in the restaurant was very lively and packed. I thought the hostess was going to guide us to a table in a crowded area. Boy was I wrong! We got the best seat in the house yay! All the way in the back corner in a large booth with cushioned seats. Woot! Woot! I was so ecstatic about this. Some people might not like to sit in the back because they wouldn’t be able to catch their waiter’s attention. Also fear they would be forgotten about. In this case we had a very attentive waiter, who never let our complimentary drinks go empty! Holy smokes where do they get these waiters from… models.com? Our waiter was gorgeous — he was half my age but oh my was he something to look at. If your a single girl in your twenties you might want to come here just for the eye candy alone! Ok now that that’s over and done with let me move on to the food our table ordered from the brunch menu. Oh and kids get to eat off their kids menu for $ 10.95 in lieu of the adult $ 20.00 which is a great deal if mom and dad want complimentary Sangrias, bloody Mary’s, Mimosas or Screwdrivers. The bread basket we received was very nice with mini piping hot bread buns and mini muffins. They give you butter and jam in a small dish too. I had a piece of the bun with some very spreadable good room temperature butter. I didn’t care for the muffins because they smelled like cinnamon so my daughter and husband enjoyed those. My daughter ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon and an orange juice. My husband ordered the bacon Swiss omelette. Both of our omelettes came with roasted potatoes which are delectable and sourdough bread. Ok so my daughter loved her pancakes! I tasted them and they were indeed delicious. Loved that they put powdered sugar on top of them. She agreed that they were much better than IHOP’s pancakes. They were not overly fake and fluffy. On the flatter side and full of real goodness and flavor. My omelette was delicious. Loved the big chunks of feta inside it. Exactly what I was looking for on that Sunday. My omelette had a good amount of spinach and tomatoes and the feta cheese gave it a nice punch of flavor. The bread it came with was pretty good it reminded me of the Maltese bread from my home country in Malta. My husband said his omelette was good but he didn’t expect bacon bits in it. He had wanted real bacon pieces. At least he got to steal a piece from my daughter’s side of bacon, which was presented very well in a small wooden platter. Also on the menu description it states aged Gruyère Swiss but the cheese tasted like regular Swiss to him. Probably better since our daughter hates the smell of Gruyère and might have ran away from the table. Ok so about those drinks! They are complimentary so do not expect anything fancy. Call me spoiled if you must, but I wish my mimosa was served in a fancy champagne glass and looked more orange juice color. It was served in a regular water glass and looked more like a screwdriver lemonade color. Well it got the job done at least because after two I was feeling pretty nice! Hubby’s Bloody Mary tasted pretty decent. I needed ketchup for my roasted potatoes and the waiter quickly got it for me when I asked him. A large group of people were celebrating a birthday and everyone was joining in singing. I had a great time here and would like to try their brunch or dinner menu again. This is a great restaurant that I plan on visiting again.

Randomly dropped in today with a couple of friends, I ordered the special of the day which was the lobster for 28 $. After the second dissatisfying bite of the lobster I noticed there was a hair in it. Must say the lobster’s flavor was not good at all and was dry on top of that. I replaced it with a glazed salmon which sucked as well. They drowned the piece in what seemed to be lemon. My friend had the lobster Mac and cheese which wasn’t great either. The only thing I liked about my outing were the drinks, pumpkin beer; and a mimosa. After having a hair in my food you would expect a discount or a complimentary item, which was not the case. I got charged for everything and only an apology from the server. Oh well, never again!

I’ve been here a few times for happy hour(I believe different specials for food each weekday + $ 5 select drinks). The drinks are pretty standard, although my friend ordered sangria and they brought her white sangria, sangria should always be red unless otherwise specified. The ½ off appetizers were pretty good too. Not many other happy hour options in the area, so why only 3 stars? Every time I’ve gone, the waiter is nowhere to be found, it’s impossible to order anything/get utensils/get the check. The first time I went we sat at a large table that recently became free and during the whole 2 hours we were there no one bothered to remove the previous party’s glasses and plates

Came here for my best friend’s birthday. It was a wednesday night at seven and we were seated right away. Nice ambiance and a good wine selection. Our server howerever was not so great. She was nice, but never around when we needed her. The food was good but not great. We had potato skins which were good, but lacking salt. The spinach artichoke dip was very tasty. For an entrée I had braised short rib ravioli. They were good, but really could have benefited from a better sauce. I would come back and give it another try. Over all we had a nice time.

The place was a cool chill spot. It was the best of 4 worlds! Yes I said 4 lol. They have a private room, nice restaurant section, bar area, and pub seating area. All with separate entering. So they didn’t clash with each other. I went with a friend today and we sat in the pub area. It was cool and the staff was friendly. I ordered the crab cake Caesar salad. It was so delicious. It was also real crab meat!(Not that pink and white imitation or mushy crap.) It was perfectly dressed with Caesar and not over bearing. I even brought my left overs home to my husband. Bc I felt like he had to try the crab cake! All he could say was wow! I washed my meal with peach bellini. By the way the have a few section of mix drinks on the menu. But they can make almost about anything you request. So I had a peach bellini. So overall I loved it and will def come back again.

I’ve been here several times. Where can you spend $ 20 and enjoy a good meal with bottomless brunch drinks? You can’t beat it. I haven’t tried their menu at any other time besides brunch. So I can’t comment on the meals during dinner. Crab cakes Benedict, chicken muttz sandwich on focaccia bread with lettuce and tomato, applewood bacon, mac and cheese, pasta primavera with chicken, and the burger are all amazing to name a few of the very diverse items. This is a great place to go with family or friends. There is plenty of parking in the area. Only downside which is why I took 1 star off, there is one waiter that’s particularly slow and lazy. I tend to avoid having to sit in his area. Since you get great service from the other two or three folks working the tables. Make a reservation. Gets pretty busy on Sunday.

A close friend’s surprise engagement party was to be hosted here for a Sunday brunch. We had a private room booked for approximately 30 people. As we arrived, we were greeted right away and asked what our choice of refreshments would be. The maid of honor did an outstanding job decorating and I really liked that they allowed her to make the space her own. The food was just okay. The drinks — mimosas, screwdrivers, and Bloody Mary’s — everyone seemed to enjoy. The staff was really what made our experience so wonderful. They were very accommodating and attentive. In addition, they were engaged with our party and it was nice to see that. A nice place to go and try out!

It was crowded when we walked in. Glad that our party’s had a reservation. We had a good seating location and privileged to get very cushiony seats, I would say we had the best seats in the house :). Was it because of an early reservation that was placed, or the number of our party or was it my daughter’s connection who is a frequent guest of this popular brunch place? We were served right away. Brunch time is from 11 to 3 and we arrived so close to the last hour. We had sangria and Bloody Mary as starters for our unlimited drinks. Not strong enough that in less than half hour we’d requested for our second glass. Two basket of breads were given still warm, soft and in various kinds. Pleased how soon our entrees arrived. My husband and I had tempura shrimp. My daughter and my son’s girlfriend ordered the crab cakes in brioche with eggs on top. My son had the steak and eggs meal. My daughter’s boyfriend got rancho huevas. All looked happy with what each one had. Food is good but not great. I find their prices high as in comparison to other places I went before. Dining space is too is small. The best thing in this place, they don’t care if you are loud since everyone is. We had a good time. I am considering of coming back.

Tavern 18 is a nice, cozy, relaxing spot. It has a saloon vibe, but they jazz it up a little with cloth tablecloths. Came here for Sunday brunch with a friend and we enjoyed ourselves. We made reservations but it wasn’t that busy and that was surprising, especially with their prices. The brunch was $ 20 plus tax and gratuities including muffins and a meal with unlimited mimosas, bloody mary’s, screwdrivers, and white wine sangria. The mimosas were on point! I wanted to try the white wine sangria but every time my mimosa was low, our server came and filled it right on up so I gladly just kept on drinking. I ordered the Egg Sampler with eggs, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, and sourdough bread. Now the food was enjoyable but there were a few things about my meal that I wasn’t too fond of. I absolutely hate fake, powdered eggs. You know the eggs from McDonald’s and IHOP? Yea, those! Unfortunately the eggs at Tavern 18 are the same way… Disappointment. The bacon, sausage, and sourdough bread were good but I ended up getting shoestring french fries instead of roasted potatoes. I really don’t like to complain to servers but I do know that you should not give me a substitution of what I asked for without notifying me. My friend ordered the same sampler with a side of pancakes. Those blueberry pancakes were so good! I did like the atmosphere, but the service could have been better, and they could have much better eggs. But for those unlimited drinks, a meal, and those great, warm muffins, for $ 20, I’ll be back. Next time I’ll get pancakes & bacon :-) P. S. There’s a two hour seating limit for tables during brunch.

This is a cool bar/restaurant. I had been meaning to check it out for quite some time and finally got around to it. Overall it’s very nice and cozy, and the location is convenient. As you all know I hate lines, traffic, having to look for parking, etc. So a place like this that’s local and not in a «trendy» area already appeals to me. I had the marinated hanger steak which was very good, Noemi had the kobe sliders which were awesome, and my mother had a pretty damn good burger. Lots of beers, both bottles and taps, full bar and they even have rum/congiac concoctions that they age themselves in their own barrels. And of course, the service was great. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to more often, a new fan!
