Worst customer service ever! We just left there to pick up an order that they said would be ready in 10 minutes because delivery would have been an hour. We get there and they tell us they do not have the Cuban sandwich we ordered which I wasn’t informed on the phone so we have to reorder something else & waited another 15 minutes for our food to be ready. I asked to check the bag & the man at the counter said«Don’t worry its right», he missed putting a soda in & he insisted I didn’t order a 3rd soda after I made him re-read the order to me over the phone(& he got annoyed when I asked him to do that). We get back to work & of course something is missing… our salads. I call the store back(the salads were in front of him he said) & asked them if they could bring it(I couldn’t go back out because I already used all my break time to wait there for the food) & he said his manager said no. I knew he missed something but of course according to him«it was all in the bag». I told him he just lost customers. WEWILLNEVERORDERFROMTHEMAGAIN!!! WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE&ATTITUDES!!! & over 2 salads? They are around the corner from us!

Good food but expensive. If your looking to rock the rice and beans with some pollo while looking at hotties behind the counter, then give this place a shot but make sure you bring mucho Dinero. The place has a really nice seating area that’s good for a date or with the family. Also takeout or casual eating At the counter area. The dining area is seperate so you won’t be surrounded by the take out skells while trying to eat. Hahaha Anyway, bottom line is good food but pricey.

I gave this place 3 stars since I really enjoyed their food. I have been coming to this place since it’s opened a few years ago service and food is amazing. On May 8th2016 my family and I came here for Mother’s Day dinner and when we first walked in we notice they were extremely busy which is understandable being that it was a popular holiday. We were a party of 5 three adults two children. When we first arrived we stood for about 5 – 10 minutes before I had to get a waitress’s attention to let her know that we needed a table as she was walking by I politely said we need a table and in a rude manner she turned around and said yes I know we are very busy and walked away. After this I went to let one of the guys in the front know we needed a table I believe the owner’s brother he was very polite and nicely told us he is sorry they were very busy but cleaned up a table for us and sat us down within minutes. After we were seated we waited another 10 maybe 15 minutes without anyone coming to take our order, I noticed some menus were near by and grabbed some for our party since everyone seemed to be running around like a chicken without a head. My cousin’s grandmother saw the same waitress from earlier passing by and she tapped on our table trying to get her attention and told her politely that we needed someone to take our order(in Spanish). The waitress then turned around and in the most nasty voice and rude manner told an 80 year old lady«I am busy» and put her hands up and rolled her eyes. My cousin and I then proceeded to let the waitress know that she was very rude and that is no manner to speak to an elderly woman she in return argued back with us which I was very taken aback with since one she was in the wrong and two we are the customers. We then proceeded to let the guy in the front know what just happened and how we did not want her as a waitress, he told us there was another waitress working the shift but she was attending a large party. Within a few minutes he redirected the other waitress to attend our table. I understand how busy everyone was and everyone seemed stressed but I believe this place was understaffed I am sure that the staff at the restaurant was aware a large party was coming in on that day and that other customers would also be coming to dine since it was Mother’s day. I believe who ever is running the restaurant should of hired more waitress’s to work on that day therefore an incident like this could have been avoided. I also believe that the waitress who spoke in such a nasty manner to my family member should not be working at a restaurant where she has to deal with customers on a daily basis or she should be referred to some type of customer service training. Everyone gets overwhelmed by daily struggles in life whether is at their work place or home but they should not be taken out on another person especially an 80 year old elderly woman. I really hope this issue is addressed because I would hate to stop coming to this place since I never had an issue prior to this and since I really enjoy their food.

this place is solid. affordable, good portions, close to home. the mofongo is legit, ribs and pernil always good. only complaint is sometimes they are out of stuff but i guess that keeps it fresh and delivery is slow or not available so always have to pick up.

I have been here a few times and overall the food is ok. Depends on what your order. As well, if you get pork please ask for extra sauce because many times i have ordered it, it has been dry! The restaurant has improved. However, can be better.

They make the best rotisserie chicken in town. I could eat here everyday and have the chicken and rice. Love this place! Also the tostones are great. Get there early, they run out of some sides and dressings.

G had been told about this place from the folks at Quest Diagnostic, saying this place had the best empanadas. We had driven by numerous times and talked about stopping in, but never stopped. What a big mistake on our part as this place has really great food and very reasonable prices. When you first walk in, there is a large take out area where you can see all of the food displays. Everything looked so good, so after scoping out the food we decided to sit in the dining room which is adjacent to the take out area. The waitress was absolutely adorable and told us everything that came with the meal, in no specific order. She was so cute. G ordered what I called the country fried steak, but he had the correct name. I ordered the beef stew, with carrots and potatoes. Both meals came with a salad. G ordered the maduros as his side and wow what a large side. He was able to finish the steak, which was two huge pieces. I tasted the steak and it was very good. My beef stew was served in a good sized bowl with lots of meat, carrots and potatoes in a very fragrant and flavorful gravy. You could tell by the tenderness that this dish had cooked slowly for hours. My side was spanish rice and a small bowl of beans. The meal was overwhelming with the size and aromas but I overcame and started the eating journey. The beef stew here is the best I have ever had and the gravy, they could sell the gravy for just bread dipping. So good. Carrots tender all the way through and the potatoes had soaked in those meaty juices. This is the first time that I can recall where I ate the veggies up first before I really dug into the meat. I did ask our waitress for some extra gravy for my rice. G said I was supposed to add the beans to my rice, but gravy on rice was so good I needed extra. The bowl had huge chunks of meat and it was tender, juicy and I could not eat it all so it came home with me. There were also three large pieces of maduras on my rice plate. Good gosh how much can a person eat? This place is a hole in the wall, but a very delicious hole in the wall. On the way out, we both said«when are we coming back here». Not soon enough! This place gets 5 stars on the yummy chart.

Let me start by saying that I love this restaurant. Living in the area that I’m in I am glad that there is a Dominican restaurant that serves good food. I been coming here since my first pregnancy and I used to eat here every time I had a Drs appointment at LiJ. Now they deliver to my house and I live like 15 minutes away now. I ordered this steak sandwich with chimi churri sauce and it was amazing!!! The place is nice the owner is nice and the food is great! I love the pernil. Pretty decent prices for great food! In love

The best Dominican food in the area! I ordered from other places around here and always got dried out rice and food that wasn’t very fresh. I tried this place after a friend recommended it and was surprised at how good it was the rice was perfect(not hard and dry because it was the end of the day) and the food was fresh and very tasty… I ordered online using the Unilocal app and a guy who called me back immediately to tell me that they were out of something and helped me to find a replacement. He was very nice and took his time even though I could hear in the background that they were very busy. I tried to call back the next night to order again but it was too late, that’s how much I liked the food!!! I just placed another order and hope it’s as good as the last time!

What a huge disappointment! Ordered lunch with my co-workers and everything was dry and very blah! The pernil was super dry and not a drop of sauce came with it. The sweet plantains were not sweet at all, very dry and hard! also ordered white rice and beans and the beans were not with the delivery, I had to wait over 30 minutes for the delay, to summarize this is not a Dominican restaurant with flavor, customer service or patience!

Yay proper Dominican food in Queens!!! It’s a delivery, take out and eat in kind of place and the menu is expansive! Everything I’ve had here thus far has been delicious and the portions generous for the price point. I’m a huge fan of mofongo and their shrimp mofongo with the super garlicky gravy that comes with is just heavenly. They also have this crazy good mixed fried appetizer dish of fried garlic chicken pieces, chorizo, triangles of battered queso frio, tostones, salami, and fried pork chunks. This alone with side of their arroz con gandules, or morro rice as their menu says, is more than satisfying. The small portion order is more than enough for 4 people, though I’ve ordered it for just 2 people as well and polished it off but I digress… the days where I can fit in a dessert at the end, I always end with a slice of tres leches cake and it hits the spot! Moist and delicious and not overly sweet. The eat in space is kept clean and welcoming and every staff person there has been very personable and attentive. I’ve not ordered out yet but the separate area where you can order to go looked like it was maintained nicely and always stocked well with a variety of selections to choose from. I’ve been to one other location with the same name and I have to say that I was under impressed by that locations food and staff. Definitely will be coming back to this one!

Saying the food was delicious was an understatement. Working in the hospitality business, I’m receptive to details. From the minute I started on the«mofongitos» appetizer I knew I was in heaven. My main dish was a mofongo with chicarron. The seasoning on point! The potato salad on point! Will I be returning here, yes I will. Thanks to the owner for hooking me up with a complimentary slice of tres Leche tonight! He had me at cake… lol. Gracias por todo!

I had take out from their dinner menu. I had not visited this place since a year ago. Clearly they have added a sit down restaurant at which i had dinner with my family sometimes last year. For a sit down dinner i ate ice beans and a protein and dinner for 3 was $ 40. I did ordered a shrimp mofongo and that was ok. This place used to be a bargain before the sit down restaurant was in place. So tonight i had take out rice beans yuca and pollo guisado. I also ordered a pernil platter. I have to say their food taste good but not great and 2 dinner plates for $ 26 thats a lot of money for rice beans and protein. They gave me so much rice and very little pernil, before they used to include a free salad. I can only assume they no longer include it with the togo dinner. Its a shame because 3years ago when i first discovered this place it was a gem. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. When i got home, i realized the yuca was dried and hard, the pernil was ok but it seemed more like it was a kid size portion. Instead of being roasted it was like pulled pork due to sitting on the hot buffet for so long. The beans did not have much flavor. Overall i wont be returning. I will have to find another spanish restaurant around my way.

Reading the reviews here, make me think that it is better to avoid this place on weekends. So my review is from few weekdays visits to the place. The funny thing is that I had both great dining experiences and not so great, so I decided to give them 3 stars, and if they will improve(Just stay coherent with their good days, I will change it to 5). I love Dominican food, and when I go there on their«good» days, I know I will leave the place happy.

I’ll take other reviewer’s word and believe that the Sunday brunch buffet used to be good. But I went today for the brunch buffet and found it severely lacking. There weren’t many items to choose from. I had to let the waitress know that some of the items have run out before they would replenish them. They had fried bologna, fried sausage, fried cheese, yucca, some kind of starch thing with an oatmeal consistency, eggs, and french toast. Eggs were okay but everything else were bad to mediocre. I should have trusted my instinct and ordered from the steam table in front instead of the buffet. We were there kind of early so I thought they would be bringing more stuff out to the buffet, but that never happened. Anyway, skip the buffet and go for the steam table stuff.
