Bed Bath and Beyond

I came to return something. I was in and out in 5 minutes. The cashier was so quick and friendly too. The actual store is below street level. It is hard to get cell service down there so using the mobile coupons is difficult. Print them out ahead of time.

This is a really well run store. The manager and employees are always very helpful, friendly and accommodating. If they don’t have an item, they will gladly have it shipped to you. Brought back a defective item — they didn’t have another in stock, but had a replacement shipped to my house free of charge and very quickly. Great service, neat and clean well-​stocked store and friendly, courteous assistance — what more could you want?

Weirdness. Always feels like I’ve entered the Twilight Zone for some reason when I go here … The employees are pretty nice. Sometime too nice. I was in around the holidays & this one cashier lady didn’t wanna shut the F up! I’m not trying to be mean. I know she was actually attempting to be helpful but most people just want to have their items rung up quickly so they can get on their way. Who would suspect a helpful question — «did you find everything ok?» could turn into a near never-​ending ramblefest! I swore I was NOT going to fall into her trap as I was feeling antsy & impatient waiting for the one lady in front of me to be gone already! (She answered the question… sigh…) & then it was my turn (gulp)… and … I also answered the question (UGH)! As soon as the words escaped my lips did the regret overcome me. She went on & on & on some more. By that time, I couldn’t care less about the Fresh Scents packs that I originally went there for. I assured her over & over that it was no biggie that they were in boxes on the floor just waiting to be unpacked & hung up etc. I promised I would be back after the holidays when it quiets down some & that I was okay leaving the store without the items. I don’t think she bought it but eventually (thankfully) it came to an end. I felt so terrible for the lady waiting behind me…
That was just one encounter. I’ve been in the store & witnessed employee & possibly management arguing over one’s schedule. This was right out on the floor where the customers were walking past. So much for professionalism.
Other than all that, this place is pretty pricey! I guess being located in «New Hyde Park» has something to do with that. I was looking around for a utensil holder for my kitchen counter not too long ago. Most were priced at $ 20. & $ 30. I spotted a crappy one for around $ 10. Decided to hold off. My boyfriend found a really nice one in the Pelham BB&B for $ 10. & bought it for me. I usually try to avoid this location due to the higher prices, whenever possible. I usually only go here when I’m desperate! Bought a stand-​up fan (cheap piece of garbage) last year at this location. I think it was $ 30+. I discovered it was mildly defective when I was almost finished assembling. Found the same fan for about $ 10 cheaper at a different BB&B.
My advice… shop around.

A smaller BBB, but the employees are helpful, the store is kept neat and the registry people are very accommodating. Since it is a smaller store, they don’t have some items that are stocked in bigger BBB’s. But they can order anything you need online and bring it to the store or ship it to your home.

I don’t really visit Bed bath and beyond that often. I find their prices to be high. On my last visit, I did find some sales (dish rack, oven cleaner, non-​slip hangers). I also got a broom and sweeper set.

Went in to this store to return a patio umbrella. Brooke was at the register. She was extremely helpful. She helped us with the new umbrella and showed us how to use the solar panel. Extremely courteous, professional, and efficient. Thank you Brooke for your great customer service.

Decent BBB. The people here are always nice. I bought a clothing rack but didn’t assemble it until 3 months later. When I opened it box, I realized a lot of parts were missing. This BBB gladly let me exchange it for another one & even opened the new box to make sure nothing was missing before I left. The 2^nd box also was incomplete so glad they did that first & saved me a trip back.
Only reason it’s not 5 stars is that I miss the BBB in Manhattan with their health food & personal care sections. Would be great if this BBB had that too. And like all BBB’s, gotta love those 20% off coupons!

Not the best BBB store. I always get stuck in the beyond section and have trouble getting out. This place is too crammed for its own good and it’s hard to get out sometimes. The line situation is weird, but sorta moves. They don’t have a lot of the products they advertise. For instance, I went for either a heat or water vapor humidifier, a small one, and they four people told me different places to look and they did not carry it. However, they take coupons from years ago, so I can’t complain all that much.

Wow, how do they cram so much stuff in this little space? They pretty much have everything you need… and more as I found out while beeping through the store with my registry gun. The staff is ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. Half well trained, helpful and polite. And the other side, rude and quick to ignore you. But luckily the lady who helped us was so kind that all the rudeness was forgiven.

Beware the Basement BB&B! You will have no access to the outside world! (no cell signal)
Aside from that, this is not that bad of a store. It is pretty big for being in a basement. They carry all the usual BB&B accouterments. The staff is friendly and willing to help. Sometimes they are even funny, telling jokes. Most of the time, it is crowded and people start playing bumper cars with their shopping carts. It reminds me a bit of IKEA in how you have to follow the arrows in order to escape.
If you need to return something, make sure you do it during the middle of the week as the lines at customer service have been known to get extremely long.

What a fantastic place to get everything you can think of for your home. I am so happy they opened up in the Lake Success Mall. I was saddened to find out there wasnt any by my house till this one opened up a few years back,
I love the 20% coupons and the $ 5 off coupons they send you. It keeps me coming back. I can stay in here for hours (of course I have to leave the hubby home or he’ll complain the whole time hahahah)
I also registered here for my housewarming and got everything I needed :)

I just bought a Juicer from here. I used the emailed 20% coupon. I’m sure to get another coupon and come back. They have everything from As seen on TV and surprisingly they put those things side by side from things of the same category from not seen on TV. TV does not sell the best of the best! The juicer I bought was of equal pricing and it was so much better than the one I was convinced to buy from TV.
While I was looking at my juicer, I was able to take apart the demonstration models and look at them and read their specs on the box without anyone hovering around me. I took over half an hour to do that.
I dislike pushy customer service but there were enough of them around that my friend was able to find someone to help her find her hair band as seen on TV and since there were none left, there were enough customer service people to order her one to be delivered.
Just the right balance of customer service.

This is brand spanking new B³ in Lake Success! That’s short for Bed, Bath and Beyond for you all. Now Having recently moved to our own place, Samantha S. and I needed some essential housing material. She knew of the new BBB so we headed on there, and she so kindly drove.
As I understand it, they took Ive JCPenny’s old habitat, and they made it look ALOT nicer. This is all based on her facial expression. Its one huge floor. I think its smaller than your average BBB. but sufficient enough as they had all the essentials.
We recently got a dog (pit bull/​boxer mix), and they had no problem with us bringing her in; as long as she was in the cart. Now she is a big dog so we were grateful of that! The staff was extremely helpful and nice.
FYI, the 20% coupons that they send in the mail? you can use as many as you like on as many items as you like. and you can combine it with other coupons and offers! and they never expire. great deal!
