So I came here for a second chance because the first time I felt the attitude of uncaring somewhat spilled into the foods. So I have no complaints about the chicken taquitos. However, I can’t understand why my black beans are cold and it feels like the rice was microwaved like 5 times in row. And I refuse to be believe this guacamole is made from scratch and not scooped out of a jar. And even though I saw them frying chips, these things taste stale. Also, I feel like someone died in hear. Like the grim reaper himself was cooking in the back.

Ok I don’t like giving bad reviews but really would’ve wanted to waste my time somewhere else. first I’ll start off with the design of this location, it seems like the person couldn’t decide between fast food joint and European bar. it makes no sense. The service is awful, the waitress was slow and didn’t help offer any new meals or to expand my options. there was one poor girl working the kitchen by herself and it took for ever. the food was gross, I don’t even wanna talk about. my chicken quesadilla tasted like nothing and the cheese was cold and hard by the time I sat down to eat it. don’t go here.

Everybody that works at this place seems depressed. Any employee we interacted with seemed really annoyed and upset. My wife and I went three times because it was right next to a place we were going for appointments pretty often. The food was always fine but the cashiers were always arguing with the manager or customers. The sauces station was always dirty and messy and there food all over the floor. Its a shame because Baja Fresh has the upper hand on Taco Bell and Chipotle.

Not bad… I’ve had better. First time I came here and I ordered a chicken fajita. The staff was friendly and waited while I tried to figure out what to order. The food was alright, but the chicken seemed a bit cold. No real complaints here. It’s a good place if you need food quickly and don’t want to wait on a long line at shake shack or if you’re craving americanized mexican food.

Just went to Baja Fresh tonight for dinner with my boyfriend. This was probably the worst meal we have ever had. We both feel sick now and it will be a miracle if I don’t throw up tonight. I ordered the chicken taquitas and he had the grilled chicken tacos. Both were inedible. Even the rice was awful! The guacamole and chips were alright but did not make up for the terrible service, very unclean restaurant(tables not being cleaned, floor full of food and dirt, flies everywhere). The manager seemed to be more interested in her phone than anything else. I have no idea why there were many customers in the restaurant. I will never go back here again and I advise you to do the same. Chipotle is infinitely better. PS I spent $ 26 in total to feel like I am about to puke.

I loved everything about this place in 2008 but now i couldn’t imagine wasting a single dollar in there. The food is sub-par to begin with and then the price, the PRICES are outrageous for the quality of food they provide. After me and a friend of mine asked why our portions were so small, we were told that what we received is average/normal, in a very rude way by a woman dressed in all black claiming to be the manager. Looking back i should have requested my money back. Now when in lake success i go to Ivarones, which is pricey as well but their quality more than makes up for it.

We were there few days ago, probably the first customer of the day with my wife and daughter. Spent about $ 45 for all of us. Food was to much to finish. Décor is awesome, great layout. Keep up the good work.

Baja«fresh» wow has this place has changed dramatically. The prices have gone up the portions have gotten smaller but that still is not the issue i have with this place. the quality of the food is passable at best. I woke up sick after eating a salad from this place. I should’ve know better after seeing all the flys all over the counter and the food. The workers were friendly but not worth getting ripped off at this establishment. Save yourself the hassle and find a new Mexican joint.

Horrible. Used to come here a lot but all downhill. Place is a joke. Must be the slowest, laziest staff ever. Ordered food 8⁄13. After waiting 17 minutes finally get order and it’s wrong. All the while watching the food packer getting orders ready with no gloves and one cook eating while cooking and another cook talking on cellphone. Finally fed up and got refund I ask who the General Manager is and guess what? It’s the packer who is working without gloves, and watching his staff commit numerous food violations. The order taker seemed to be the only one who cared a little. Also watch another worker«clean» plastic trays with a dirty rag. Stay far away

Baja Fresh & Flavorless. Another disappointment in local Mexican takeout. This place is clean enough, the workers are competent and cordial enough. But quantity– and flavor-wise it’s not worth the price. I’m not a fan of Taco Bell; but there’s more flavor in anything I’ve had there than here. (To be fair… I was a fan of the tacos from Jack in the Box — no longer in this region. So flavor-wise, that’s where I’m coming from. The meat in those was more like Jamaican beef patty filling.) I ordered two chicken tacos(corn version tortilla) to go for a late lunch 8÷4÷15. The bill came to $ 9.55 — that’s with no drink. I asked the young lady at the counter if I could have chopped tomato without raw onion. Apparently she assumed when she said I could. After I paid and moved to the side, the lady preparing my meal asked whether or not I wanted salsa. When I replied, «only if there is no onion,» she left it out. So guess what I found when I opened the bag after I got back to work? No diced tomato. I basically got four little damp floppy tortillas with some diced grilled chicken sprinkled on top. I guess I should have repeated that I wanted tomato or something. BTW, their tacos don’t come with cheese. The soft taco«shells» are like small, floppy, moist… bleh tortillas. When you sit down to eat this, you have the spoonful of grilled chicken cubes on top of two flat, bland, overlapping, floppy tortillas and have to put the thing together. If you add extra sauce from the concession, it winds up all dripping all over. Plus, by the time I opened the bag in my office, the water from the side of beans had spilled out. So the bag was soaked and the beans were spread all over the plastic molded plate, making everything damp. …whatever… There was a large spoonful of rice with more color than flavor, and some fresh shredded iceberg lettuce. The free crispy thin tortilla chips on the side come in a small bag and they’re bland, too.(Again… To be fair, most of these kinds of places have thin bland crunchy chips that break easily if you try to scoop a few beans with them.) For a little less, I could have gone over to Iavarone’s(same strip mall) and gotten a large grab & go salad — just as fresh and more satisfying — with two free dressing packets. For even less than that, I could have made lunch at home.

I would always eat here a couple of years ago, unfortunately the quality is down now. Portions are smaller and prices are up! They’ve made huge changes. Disappointing.

Service was horrible. You wait a very long time to receive your food. The cashiers and the servers don’t work together, so everything is a mess. I ordered the Shrimp Chile Lime salad, it was HORRIBLE. The shrimps were salty, the lettuce was old and dressing was mostly oil. This is the 3rd time, I have ordered the same salad and it’s always the same. Definitely, not going back to this place.

This place is amazing! You get a decent size portion and all their ingredients seem very fresh. I had a steak Baja bowl which was super delicious. We also had a side of chips and Guac.(A tad pricey) but super amazing !! The food was ready very quickly which was nice!

I love Mexican food and really want to like this place, but I can’t. Yes, it’s clean and they seem to try hard, but the food just isn’t tasty. Everything seems to have the same taste. Burritos are dry, chicken is dry, and taste is monotonous and bland. Maybe someone from Baja Fresh should check out Chipotle and learn how to do prepare casual Mexican. I know it’s a chain, so it’s not easy for owners to be nimble and modify menu but seriously, the food needs to improve.

I always get the chicken taquitos from here. I also love that I can order online and just go pick it up there. It makes avoiding the lunch rush so much easier.

Gas station burritos are better. This place is nothing compared to what it used to be. The food is absolutely terrible. Prices are up over $ 10 an entrée and Burritos are nowhere near the size of chipotles – they simply aren’t worth it. The guy behind the counter has stains and whatnot all over his clothing. The only reason they got two stars is because their salsas are still good. I used to come here frequently a decade ago with family. I’ll put it this way: baja fresh, gas station burrito, taco bell, chapotle. In that order.

I had never tried Baja Fresh, so when I saw it in the Lake Success shopping center, I figured it was worth a visit. I love tacos, and they have tacos, so it made sense. I got grilled soft tacos(an order of 3) and I was quite disappointed. The side of rice and beans tasted like it had been microwaved, and the tacos ranged from flavorless to greasy. I was also disappointed that there were no hard taco options, since the flour tortillas ended up being too thick and too filling. I ended up throwing out a majority of what I ordered, which was a shame, since it cost be almost $ 20(with a drink). This place is way too expensive for the poor quality. I won’t be visiting again.

This place does not get enough credit. Before, I would always chose Chipotle over Baja Fresh, but now that I’ve tried their food, its actually on point! Plus, free chips and salsa?! come onnnnn…

My friend and I stopped in after doing some shopping in the area. I ordered the Shrimp Salad with black beans, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sour cream. My friend had the steak and pork soft tacos. My salad was prepared within minutes; the shrimp were well seasoned and taste great. The salad taste very fresh; with each order you received chips to which they have a salsa bar. My friend stated that her soft tacos were good, well seasoned, and taste fresh. The salsa bar had 8 different salsa’s to choose from. Ranging from hot, mild, smoke favor, and sweet. My friend and I taste all the salsa favors of course. I especially enjoy the hot salsa & and the cilantro salsa. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. If I should ever be the area again I’ll definitely eat here again.

Came here for lunch and it was really good. We got guacamole and chips. Guac was creamy and flavored nicely not to much cilantro a must try. For lunch i got tacos fish and steak american style that comes with cheese and tomato and i also asked for avocado it tasted really fresh and well who doesnt like a healthy lunch. Came with a side of beans and rice. I did want the fried fish but they must have made a mistake and i got grilled. Bf got two shredded pork tacos which was just as good. We also shared a chicken quesadilla which tasted great. They have a great salsa bar with a bunch of different salsa ranging from mild to hot to put on your food. I got few to try to dip my chips in. Im deducting 2 stars because the place was quite messy no one was cleaning up tables, floors, and soda machine area. The place is def nice if was maintained properly.
