I’ve been to Kasbah’s twice and I’ve loved it on both occasions so far. The owner is a hale Moroccan man who is keen on you enjoying your dinner. Things I’ve tried: 1) the fish tagine($ 13), which is delicious and fresh on all occasions. I think everyone should have this if you don’t feel like having a heavy meal. 2) falafel sandwich($ 6.50). The falafel was crunchy without being overly greasy. The falafel here is – and many people will curse me now – BETTER than Mamoun’s. The pita bread is also top notch. 3) We usually get olives and feta(~$ 5) as an appetiser. The dishes here are very homey tasting, like something your concerned grandparent made. This all makes for a filling meal seriously since the pita bread is free flowing. Excellent for a grad student budget. I’ve not had the hookah but I hear it’s great especially during the cooler months eg late summer /fall. The garden ambience is super cosy, with the fairy lights and all. Recommend!

Since most everything has already been said about Kasbah, I will just reiterate that the falafel isn’t your average granular, from-the-mix kind of croquette. There are whole chickpeas still visible in the blend, and it’s pretty clear that they make and fry the rounds fresh to order. You get a huge plate of sandwich and vegetable toppings for under $ 7, plus a relaxing garden view.
