I live very close to the trail and am on it often. I love the beauty of it, especially during different seasons. A lot of fun for biking, walking the dog, and just relaxing. It is an old railbed so, it’s flat flat flat. But, it does cross over the sugar river and tributaries, lots of wetlands and wild life. My biggest complaint is the amount of invasive and noxious weeds along the trail. But, for an old railbed, that is to be expected. Hints: If you venture off the trail, watch for poison ivy. It can be a great place to pick raspberries and black caps during season. And, if you are on the trail between Monticello and Albany, be aware much of the length is part of a wildlife recreation area open to hunting during the typical hunting seasons. WEARYOURBLAZEORANGE!!!
