IEnded up here for breakfast and then for coffee to go the next morning. LOVED the vibe and the staff was super nice. I had the quiche(vegetarian) and it was delicious– it would of been even more delicious with carmalized onions or cherry tomatoes. The coffee, food, and atmosphere was on point.

Absolutely lovely, atmospheric place to have a cup of coffee or tea and a snack. Wonderful, genuine, small town feeling.

Fat Cat coffee works is a favorite starting– or midpoint destination on weekend bike rides. Espresso is excellent and a double is more generous here than most coffee shops — it’s nice to have a bit more of the one legal performance enhancing drug before a hilly ride! I’m a fan of both the sweet and savory baked goods. Fat Cat recently expanded to accommodate more patrons inside, in addition to the already spacious patio out back along the bike path. This is a very popular spot for cycling groups, and the staff is always very friendly and shows appreciation for us. If Fat Cat was closer to Madison, I’m sure we’d know each other on a first name basis!

The coconut cream pie!!! It is to die for! If I’m on my death bed I will make that my last request. Apple pie looked amazing. Coffee was very tasty, and pumpkin cake was fluffy and moist and flavorful with a great cream cheese frosting. Loved all of it!

It’s hard to know when I’ve been treated so rudely. First of all if you want Wi-Fi their connection is dialup slow. A sign by the cash register in large letters says«No charging of devices» which means not using any plug-ins whatsoever, even to show a friend vacation pictures from my laptop. Outlets actually are capped. Bicycle riders are ordered by a sign on the front door to not bring any equipment inside. While some of the food is homemade, the breakfast burrito I tried twice was probably just microwaved and was cold one time and lukewarm another. Coffee is OK but it’s Ancora’s dark roasts. Service can be either silent or mocking as they did about my girl friend. Did I mention I live in New Glarus? I’ve had it and will NOT go there again. If I could rate them ½ or no stars, I would.

Although I love my coffee at anytime of the day, their marketing really did its number on me when the name of the place drew me in. I’m a sucker for both coffee and legitimately fat cats so of course I was obliged to try this adorable little coffee shop on my Sunday in the delightful town of New Glarus. I felt a little bad traipsing into the café when I did because it was on a Sunday at about 4:50 pm, just 10 minutes before they were about to close, but my curiosity couldn’t be restrained. I’m glad it wasn’t though because as soon as I walked in I saw the glorious chalkboard of coffee and coffee flavors. I’ve never ever been one to drink my coffee black and in fact I like as much sweetness and flavor as possible when I drink my coffee so when I saw that they had all of these flavor shots that could be put into the lattes I was like a kid in a candy shop. I couldn’t tell you all of the flavors that they had, but I can assure you that there was something there for everybody. Personally, I got a raspberry-flavored latte and oh my goodness, was it amazing. I had only gotten a medium because the prices were quite inflated, but after tasting it I wish I had gotten a large only so that I could have gotten a few more sips out of it. To be honest, I’d say that the prices of the coffee were similar to that of Starbucks, only this is a local, unique coffee shop whose quality of coffee is much better in my opinion. Don’t waste your money on Starbucks(even if it is Pumpkin Spice Latte season) and instead spend your money locally on a business that’s warm and cozy… and delicious most of all. They also sell baked goods which looked super moist… I can only speak for the brownie which, yes, was amazingly moist and tasted wonderful with my latte. I wish that I could have had the chance to hang out inside of the café, but because I’d gotten there so late all of the chair were put up already. However, it does seem to be a great place to go and get some work done if you need a place to concentrate while also getting that caffeine you’re in desperate need of. It’s also pretty spacious inside so you won’t have to fee like you’re sitting on someone’s lap because of close quarters.

Lots of recent additions to this great stop in New Glarus. A new bar and dining area has been added along with a dinner menu on Thurs, Fri and Sat. So not just a coffee, tea and lunch spot anymore. Even wine and beer offered. The menu seems to be continually changing. It even includes shrimp tacos… awesome. Great place to unwind and relax. Great pies for sure!

We always stop here when passing through New Glarus. It has a nice charm about it, and the coffee is strong. Pastries have been solid too. Atmosphere is very cozy, there are plenty of cool vintage pieces of eye candy to entertain, and they play good music. Bathrooms are clean. A nice collection of Hamms beer stuff, and Fat Cat beer stuff, for all you beer aficionados out there. Conveniently located by the bike trail, seemed to be a pit stop for the spandex inclined.

Loved this place, great coffee and homemade baked goods looked amazing. Good seating options to work or meet up with friends. Serving the local Madison coffee roaster Ancora which is very nice. They had a nice food menu but we needed coffee to recover from New Glarus brewery. This is a great little gem!

Really nice place. Very comfortable. Unlike most places you can find a secluded spot just about anytime. Child friendly and feels like home. There are games available throughout the place. I would likely not go to New Glarus without stopping for coffee here.
