I was having extreme difficulty finding a pair of MX20v1 in my size. I’m pretty resourceful in finding what I’m looking for online and don’t mind spending hours searching every possibility. This was one of the first times I couldn’t actually find what I was looking for ANYWHERE, either locally or across the country. I finally decided to call around locally as a last resort… these days, this rarely pans out. Much to my surprise, after a quick phone call, the people at NB New Canaan were able to tap their resources and find one pair in CA. Not only did they find the shoe but the price was as cheap as I could find online AND NB New Canaan ships to your home for FREE!
When I arrived to pick up the shoe, it was a busy Saturday afternoon at the shop. I was greeted promptly and only had to wait a couple of minutes before Ron helped me out. Not only was I taken care of promptly but Ron (Fit Technician) took the time to chat w/​me for a couple minutes, asking what I do for a living, as well as for recreation.
This may not all seem like a big deal but I’m a relo from VT and since living in CT the past 4 years, friendly service encounters are few and far between. This felt just like shopping at home. NB New Canaan has the service and charm of a mom & pop shop but w/​the selection of a much larger store, as well as competitive pricing and free shipping! With the ease of internet shopping and big box stores, its rare to still find this nowadays. It makes me really happy to give people like this my business and I hope they continue to be successful.
