This place is a really unique environment. The variety of beers is outrageous. However, they got to step it up with their service. It took me forever to get my check. Although the food and beer selections are pretty good. I would visit this place again.

I’ve never been a big beer person but this place is great! It has a great selection with different categories. I like the flavored ones and the malt ones like the Voodoo Doll which tasted like coffee! I tried a sampler last time which was great. The flatbreads are also always on point! A regular is way too big even for two people! I also love the atmosphere here. I want to come back for the brunch here!

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s been a different experience every time. The first time I went, I wasn’t too impressed with this place. It was one of the nights that there was live music, and it was way too loud. I had tried the beer flight(none of the beers tasted that great to me), so I guess it’s better to try the beer before you get it. I remember the salad I ordered being subpar. The second time I went I was with a big group of people. Two of my friends ordered the same drink and the waitress said they ran out of that type of liquor. The food we got that time was really good though. We got the meatballs, the pretzel, and some fried shrimp. I highly recommend the bagel if you’re looking for a small bite to share with a group. The last time I went was last night. Trivia Tuesday with a group of friends. It was a lot of fun! My friends waited an hour to get their food though, which was crazy. I had to wait half an hour for mine, which I ended up cancelling the order for because we were about to leave. The waitress was nice and understanding about it and told me, «I don’t blame you.» She ended up giving me my food in a to go box anyway because they were going to throw it out, and they didn’t charge me. The fries were really good, but the veggie burger wasn’t that great. The burger needs a sauce or mayo on it.

ALWAYS a good time when we come here and the staff is fun and knowledgable about the beer. They also always have an awesome live band playing each time we go, which is usually a Saturday.

Obviously, great selection of beer and usual food fare. Was in town for work and had some time to kill. Stopped by for a bite to eat and a couple beers. Their Reuben is loaded with more corned beef than I get most other places. Mmmm. What I found exceptional, though, was the bar service and bartender’s beer knowledge. Thanks for a pleasurable break, Alejandra.

I would love to give this place a higher review, as they provide A LOT of beers on tap. However, the service is terrible. The bartender’s and not friendly or helpful and when I asked for the bartender to pick me know of his favorite Belgian beers he decided to pick the most expensive one on the menu($ 13). The beer was good but I’m not about to pay $ 13 for a glass of brew… Besides that, they pretzels are a must get and I would suggest getting a light beer from the Belgian beer section.

This place is great for group outings, especially when they have trivia night. Layout is decent enough to maneuver, though can get extremely crowded on weekends(duh college campus). I swear there are a bazillion beers here! Which is amazing since you may like variety or have a picky pallet. I have too look into the loyalty club and if the bartenders can honestly pick me out a beer. This is not a cocktail place, its definitely a sports bar but that’s okay, go up the street if you’d like something else. I enjoyed the wings I had when I was here and the staff was really nice. Will go back for the bartenders ability to find me a new favorite!

This place is awesome! Best beer selection in the area by far. All the bartenders know their s***, you can tell them what you like and they’ll pick a great beer for you. They serve the beers in the proper glassware and everything 100 beers on tap almost always and the loyalty club, oh the loyalty club, make sure you sign up for that! The food is great, I normally always get the Guinness bites or whatever they’re called. But this place is mostly for beer so don’t expect the best food you’ve ever had. This brings me to the music… Oh the music. Friday and Saturday nights they have live local bands playing, people dancing and singing. It’s a great damn time! HOWEVER, this is not a music venue world of beer! I’m normally not one to complain about noise but WOW is this music loud. You literally cannot have a conversation with the person right next to you on a Friday and Saturday night even when you’re both yelling at each other. This review would be an easy 5 stars if it wasn’t for how damn loud the music is! Turn down the music! Everyone complains about it so just listen to the customers!

Go for the beer selection. Food is average. Large space good for larger groups.

Obviously a fantastic selection of beer but staff often appears miserable and uninviting. Also I am not a huge fan of beer — the expense of the cocktails is ridiculous for what they taste like.

I don’t want to hate on The World of Beer but if you claim to be the world of beer then you need to learn how to pour a draft. Our draft beer consistently came to the table with an inch or more of empty glass. No foam, just air. So we are taking 2 stars for bad pouring. This place was pretty packed when we came in, but we found a small high top table perfect for the 3 of us. Our server was good and always seemed to time visits when were just about out of something to drink. We split a big pretzel(it dripped butter, yikes), and a mountain of tater tots. Both were good. The live band kept us at The World longer than we probably planned or would have if they weren’t playing. If you like to sample beer then this is your spot. Just know you may get cheated out of a few big sips on every draft.

I can sit here and pretend that I’m above WOB, that the vibe is too douchey, but I’m going with 4 stars because WOB has provided me with a local place to dance/and or drown my sorrows more than I’d like to admit, and I appreciate the hospitality. With over 500 beers to choose from, it’s obviously the best beer selection in New Brunswick, but with that comes the bro vibe and type of clientele you’d expect to see at a Buffalo Wild Wings style franchise. Also a great space for live music. Most, if not all are typical bar cover bands with a few good ones that pass through. The food is pretty decent for what it is. Love the shrimp, wings, and gluten-free beer selection!

Beer: Cool place to grab a beer. They have a ton of beers on tap, a wide and good selection of beers to satisfy the needs of all beer connoisseurs. Food: Eh, nothing special at all. I came here to grab a bite and a beer, but I should have opted out and just stuck to the beer. It’s your basic bar food, not sure why I thought it would be any good. Ambiance: Very busy and loud. Don’t come here on a date or if you’re trying to have some in-depth conversations, you won’t be able to hear anything. Service: Friendly, but slow, however they were super busy… so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall: Good beers, the environment is nice, although loud. I think it would have been a better experience if I wasn’t by myself. I’d come back with a group of friend, I’m sure we’d have a great time!

Small and crowded, but nicely done up, albeit very different from the one in Key West. Good selection of beer — the flight of local craft beers(a wheat ale, an IPA, a draught and a lager) was interesting though one of them was pretty vile(the draught) — kicking myself for forgetting the names! Followed this with Estrella Damm and Wittekerke. By which time the place was packed and the friday night band(called The Ruckus?!) had started playing. Not bad at all! In the food department: The German Pretzel was served hanging on a stand and was huge. I found it too oily and the husband found it too salty, but a good looking order for sure! The shrimp tacos were pretty good. It was so busy by the time we wanted to get our check that after waving at our waitress for a while, we went up to the register to pay. They also have outside seating and by 10pm, the party was spilling onto the sidewalk, closely monitored by two bouncers! Clearly a happening spot in New Brunswick these days and a fun place to hangout with friends when all you care about is good beer!

Good environment, good selection of beers, good times! Due to the number of choices of bars and lounges in New Brunswick, I’d only been to WOB a handful of times, but each time left great memories! I’d been there in the evening time when it’s definitely more crowded and popping, and I also went for happy hour on a random weekday, which can be rather quiet and peaceful! It can be a great place to catch up with your buddy and have a drink at the same time! The beer selection is awesome! They have countless types and flavors! Dark to light, fruity to chocolate, scotch to wheat. You name it, they have it. Usually I’m not a fan of beer, so I usually get the light/fruity ones. It’s the spacious environment and the comfy seats that always bring me back! Many bars in NB are rather small and old(in years and conditions), but WOB is fairly new and offers a lot of space.

So much beer, so little time! I say go with one of their many flights. I had a Belgian flight and it was great. You can customize, add or delete from your flights because they have so many beers here. At lunch we tried their humongous pretzel with cheddar and their burgers. They have decent bar fare here, but the highlight is definitely their vast selection of beers, bottled and on tap. Mostly bar seating and some tables. One caveat is the parking is not great in downtown New Brunswick near the Rutgers campus. There are some garages nearby within walking distance. The bartenders really know their beer and will make recommendations and suggestions. Worth a try on a weekday when it is not too crowded!

Dare I say it, THEREARETOOMANYCHOICES!!! American beers German beers Belgium beers British beers Russian beers IPAs Dark beers Stouts Fruity beers Ciders Weird things I have never heard of They have a paper list of drafts that is two sided. And then, for good measure, all of the bottles are loaded into an iPad. You can sort by color, type of beer, country, or any combination. You could spend hours picking out what you want to drink. And then once you’ve decided, you can possibly change your mind and spend another 20 minutes and just tell the bar tender what you like and he will bring you a sample that matches your palate to a T and you will wind up drinking that. Yeah, just tell the bartender what your taste is. Huge timesaver. Or, you can just order a flight! Flights are probably the way to go if you don’t want to make a commitment. But they do allow you to sample the drafts. The interior is large and spacious. They have a lot of TVS with every sport imaginable on. So I would say it’s a great place to watch a game. The bar is long with ample seating and for the most part, it’s staffed well. I am not sure why I haven’t been here before, but I will surely be back!

This place gets 4 stars because of the exceptional service from Glen our server, however if the service wasn’t incredible, this place would get 3 stars because their food is mediocre and most of the beers I wanted from their menu weren’t available!!! Super annoying! Flatbreads sound good on their menu but fall short on flavor. Tried both the italian and the bbq chicken flatbreads and I’d rather come to WoB for a liquid diet. The German Pretzel is worth getting. Ginormous in size and brushed with butter, this is way more than enough to share with a few people. Served with 4 different types of mustard and beer cheese(which they forgot). MUSTHAVEWITHBEERCHEESE so make sure you ask for it if they forget! They use touch screen menus for their extensive beer selection and are generous with giving samples of beers on tap whether you ask for them or not. TV’s are everywhere and they do play the sound for games. TIP: The tables that are along the wall with banquette seating have outlets in the platforms which is awesome for those of you who need to charge a device. Shots aren’t cheap, so unless you’re ballin’…just stick to beer.
