Good phở, good price, good service. Meat and veggie/seafood phở got positive marks. My beef phở was a good balance of meat, noodles, and broth. Broth was flavorful and not greasy, but not the best I’ve ever had.

My go-to take out place when I’m craving phở at Rutgers! This place is an absolute gem! The restaurant’s seating is limited but the staff is always welcoming and nice! I always stop by for dinner with my friends and they haven’t disappoint! We usually order the pork & shrimp rolls in rice paper and the pork egg rolls for starters. I order the Phở Tai which is phở with rare steak and it’s so good! Only pet peeve is that the take-out price is at least $ 15 so I have to order a bit more to add up to $ 15. Other than that, Indochine satisfies my phở craving!

Haiku: A medium place, but location is the key! close to many things. Phở is just alright the smoothies are average. Just mediocre. The service is great. Dishes come out very quick. its never crowded!

In a sea of restaurants geared towards quick eats for college students, Indochine is a GEM! The food is outstanding. As a vegetarian, it can be challenging(but not impossible) to find restaurants with high standards for their vegetarian options. However, their vegetarian cuisine is exceptional. I recommend the vegetarian phở and/or the vegetarian sandwich. You won’t be disappointed. Pricing is incredibly affordable. If you can afford Chipotle, you can afford Indochine! Stop by. I highly recommend it!

This place is such a quaint gem in New Brunswick. The staff is attentive and very nice, willing to assist with anything you need. I’ve gone twice in the past two weeks because of how delicious and fresh the Phở is. I’m hooked on the Phở Tom(shrimp with mushrooms), tons of bean sprouts, lots of sriracha sauce, lime and jalapenos. My all time favorite drink is the Thai Iced tea because of the creaminess. The serving size for regular was enough to satisfy my hunger with extra. I recommend this for a small lunch meeting or catching up with a friend. I cannot wait to go back! Fair warning they close from 3 – 430 for their lunch, I arrived just before this and did not feel rushed at all. The service is also extremely quick.

Noticed this place as we are leaving Caffèbene across the street and decided to stop by. We ordered the phở, p4, which came with sliced beef and tendon. The broth was quite tasty, so much so that we didn’t need to add hoisin sauce at all. They also gave you a generous amount of noodles. The interior was nice and clean and is a nice place to hang out with friends. I love how it is on campus to give some variety of cuisines. We didn’t have a chance to try anything else. May go back in the future to try other things.

Stopped by for lunch while visiting Rutgers. Ordered the Phở and Bun. Both excellent, broth was tasty, the extra large phở for $ 2 more was huuuuge way too much food but great value if you are starving! Nice atmosphere and attentive staff on a Spring Break weekday.

I totally enjoyed the chicken soup with shrimp dumplings. It was aromatic and delicious. Quick service and nice atmosphere. I look forward to returning and trying other options.

I’v been here a couple of times. Every time I come in I order a different phở. I’ve had the chicken phở and the phở chay(vegetarian dish). Love the subtle flavors and the freshness in the food. Feel a lot healthier when I walk out of the place. The reason I rated it only 4 stars is because they have very limited starter options. You would most probably end up taking a plate of spring rolls. The rolls are served cold(or room temperature). Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be served. But because of this, it becomes less appetizing. They also take a bit of time to prepare the food.

There’s a reason why Indochine has stuck around on George St for the past 5 years, which a lot of other businesses on that street can’t say for itself. Best chicken Phở in downtown New Brunswick. Period! Really fast takeout service too.

If you want to go somewhere close and are craving Phở or Vietnamese food, this is the place to go. I feel like portion wise, they could definitely give you more, but it’s not bad. The boyfriend and I usually have to get extra larges in order to be full. Either that or we eat too much. Although the food is just alright, they do have some good things going for them. Location wise, it’s close. Definitely do-able for a Rutgers student without a car. Their service is fast and we’ve always been able to get a table no matter what time or what day it is. The inside is clean and noise-wise, it can get pretty loud, but not if you’re sitting farther from the other tables like by the window.

Hungry for lunch and in the area? This is a good quick bite. Veggie ingredients are fresh. Asked for chili and they brought me some nice home-made chili paste PACKED with ginger. The service is great, very friendly, attentive and want to cater to you. I have had the classic phở beef broth several times, and even to-go and it’s always been good. I’ve had better, but it’s solid. However, the best has been the spicy one. It adds more depth in flavor to the dish. The veggie green noodle dish was delish too(more of a stir kind of dish). I once did the brown rice noodle substitute in the phở once but it’s wasn’t the same… the texture was a bit too soft and slimy. But I like that they offer the option! I like Indochine a lot. It’s solid food, local, and the quality is there.

I came here once alone after work to satisfy my never-ending craving for noodle soups. This was my second ever time having Phở, and my first time(Phở 99) was disappointing. But here it was just magical. I got the Phở with meatballs and it was amazing. I can definitely understand the hype behind Phở now. The portion was great, I had a bit left over after gorging myself and took it home. The proportion of soup to noodle to toppings was great. This is definitely going to become a go-to spot for me this winter.

After closing of Lan Café in nyc, wifey and myself have been on a lookout for a vegetarian vietnamese food joint. I googled this place, drove like 30 miles and by the time we arrived our stomachs were growling! We ordered the veggie viet sandwich, the phở and one more dish whose name eludes me. Everything was exactly what we love about vietnamese cusinie! We have since been wanting to return, now only if this place was any closer to jersey city! Kudos to the owners for having so many delicious vegetarian options

If you really have a craving for viet and there’s no other option then this place will do. I ordered the bbh(bun bo hue) and the phở dac biet. The bbh is the cheapest I’ve seen. They don’t put the bones or any of the correct meats in the soup. Also they do not serve the correct veggies for the soup. For the phở, everyone who orders this normally it is filled with all the different meats of the cow but here they are very cheap. They cut the meats into tiny pieces so it has the appearance of being full. This place is very skilled at making nothing look like something.

I am no Vietnamese expert; actually, to be honest, this was the first place I’ve tried phở. With that in mind, I now dream and salivate at the thought of this phở — «P7». It’s phở with rice noodles in a chicken broth with shredded white chicken meat with bean sprouts, lemon and jalapeños on the side. I am not joking, my mouth is creating more saliva right now while I just type about it. I am unable to finish the whole bowl — it is more of a bathing pool for a small dog, but they graciously give you a plastic container to take home the left overs. You also much have their Thai iced tea. It’s a lovely, sweet and refreshing beverage to enjoy throughout your meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is very laid back, but still very appealing. The walls are brightly painted and there are little alcoves with little asian inspired décor. If you are in the area and feel like stuffing yourself with pure deliciousness; do not hesitate to walk into to Indochine. Try the P7 :)

I went here for a quick lunch with few friends at work. The place was pretty pack but we didn’t wait too long. Good food, good price. Happy tummy! I had the phở with rare steak and meatball. It was pretty good, the broth is tasty and savory. Also had the thai iced tea … It’s pretty yummy. My friend had rice with pork chop which looked and smelled really good! I’m planning to try that next time The décor is hip too. I really like how the menu is written down with chalk behind the register. I just thought it’s pretty cool. It still can’t beat my favorite vietnamese restaurant(Phở 99 on Rte 27, Franklin Park) but this one will do for me for weekday lunches

I need to update my review because I must say, this place is worth 5 stars to me *****! I am here ATLEAST once every other week, sometimes twice a week, and yes, you will find me in there eating alone because I have no shame when it comes to eating here alone. I really enjoy this place and I love the vegetarian options on the menu. It is the only place I have been able to find that makes a vegetarian phở(except Seattle)! It is not easy to find but us vegetarians want to enjoy a nice bowl of hot noodle soup too! There is a ton of seating, you seat yourself by the way! When you walk in, they will tell you to sit anywhere — I always try to go for the booth side. I’ve only ever seen 3 different waiters and the owner, who know my order when I walk in– it’s sad(yet amazing). My normal order with mah ‘boo? V2 — appetizer. AMAZING. Soooooo fresh and the sauce has a ton of flavor with a hint of spice. V3 — vegetarian phở. Hands down my favorite. I don’t ever order anything different. So much good food. You can upgrade to a bigger bowl for $ 1. V4 — bun mi, I think it’s called. Add the sauce to the bowl with the spring roll and BAM! Instant goodness. Top it off with some mochi. WIN-WIN situation at this place.

Been here a few times over the past year and I must say, the food is pretty good. They also seem to have built up a pretty decent following. I never used to go in here as it seemed fairly empty, but over he last few years, the number of diners seems to be steadily building. I’ve had there Phở, vegetable rolls and tofu sandwich. The phở is very good. Not too salty and the broth is seasoned really well. Portion size is good as well. The vegetable rolls are absolutely delicious when dipped in the peanut sauce. They are also a decent size. The tofu sandwich is excellent. Vietnamese sandwiches made with tofu are the only time I can even go near tofu since I usually hate it. This sandwich however is delicious. The jalapeños, special mayo and carrots etc really bring this sandwich home and make you feel like you’re eating a delicious chicken sandwich. Service has always pretty quick and I’ve usually been in and out in a short period of time. There are plenty of tables in the restaurant and the vibe is very laid back. No special décor, just good food.
