Let me start off by saying, the quality of work and the professionalism of the work crew was great. We are not unhappy with the end product by any means. Our disappointment comes with the complete lack of customer service from the beginning. We used Clear Choice because we were referred to them through our insurance for our hail damaged roof. Initially, the person who came out to work with our claim adjuster did not fight for us to get our claim approved and left our house without giving us any information about how to follow up. He was only at our house a fraction of the time the insurance adjuster was here. Clear Choice was supposed to follow up with our insurance company to get the claim approved and they didn’t. In the end, it required us to make several phone calls and two months of our time, we were able to get the claim approved. Following this, the same gentleman from Clear Choice came out to show us roof options and left shingles all over our deck, yard, and sidewalk. Even after calling, no one ever came back to get them. When the insurance company finally approved the roof, Clear Choice had told us they would call us immediately to set up a time to start on the roof(it had been 2 full months since the initial call). They never followed up with and after 2 more weeks, we called to check when the roof was going to get done. I was told another 2 weeks. When I said I was going to hire someone else, he told me they would start it on Friday. When I called on Thursday to make sure the materials would be dropped off in the correct spot, Clear Choice told me that they had no scheduled start for the project at our house. When I told them I was going to take my business elsewhere, they told me they could«start the next day». As I stated, the roof was wonderfully done by the work crew. They were respectful and cleaned up our yard and finished up on Sunday. Following the roof work, Clear Choice was supposed to contact us to schedule the window wraps and downspout work. After multiple calls by us over a 5 week period(messages were left each time with no return calls), I hired someone else to do the work. He came out and finished it in less than a week since it was a very small amount of work to be done. We didn’t hear anything from Clear Choice for months following the job, until the end of the year at which time they continued to harass us(and not very kindly) to pay them for their work. At this point, they shared their concern about finishing the window wraps and other part of our job completed for us. At end of the year when they wanted to get their books closed out, we(and our insurance company) received many, many phone calls and emails wanting their money. It would have been nice to have received this kind of attention from Clear Choice, when we needed to have the work completed. Through this whole experience, we watched 20+ homes in a 4 block radius get roofed, sided, guttered, and shuttered while we were waiting to get our roof completed. I would not recommend Clear Choice(and have told my insurance company to stop recommending them) based on their lack of customer service.
