Smashburger

Just a heads up… This Smashburger is now permanently closed. There is a sign up on the door stating that a new business will be coming soon.

I had the BBQ, bacon cheeseburger. It wasn’t anything special, but it was solid food and cheap. I had the sweet potato fries which was a mistake. I just didn’t like the way they were prepared. I’d go again, but then again there are lots of other options.

The burgers and fries here are extremely greasy compared to other Smashburger locations. My burger patty looked as if it was doing laps in the deep fryer before drying off on the buns. If I didn’t already pay for this expensive burger I probably wouldn’t have eaten it. It’s just hard wasting food, especially after a long road trip from Houston. At least all the extra grease gave me the needed calories to burn off at Schlitterbahn!
The next time I’m looking for food around the area, I may opt for something that is less expensive and less oily. Perhaps others may have their luck here, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.

To be honest, this ain’t the best burger I’ve ever ate. Still better than that tasteless hour long wait of a burger at B-​Dubbs. The fries also a disappointment, but if u order the fries, get the regular. Cuz the smash fries r nothing special but regular fries sprinkled with rosemary. My advice, go to Five Guys: Crazy prices, but it’s worth it.

Understaffed, disorganized and my egg on my burger was way over done! Over priced. This was my 2^nd try and not impressed either time. Won’t be back. Go to Red Robin for good burgers!

First time ever going to Smashburger. I was the one that suggested we try it. No one really liked their burger but the fries were ok. I regretted suggesting that we go there. I’ll give it another try one day, definitely no this location though.

5 stars!!! Am addicted to the Texas Burger and Smash fries. Love this place AND had left my iPhone there. Went back and staff were soooo sweet and had my phone!!! Wow!!!

I usually look at Unilocal before visiting an establishment, and the one time I don’t I regret it. Won’t let that happen again. Food was decent, but not worth a 20 min wait. I got the harvest salad w/​chicken. Had good taste but chicken wasn’t even lukewarm. Would have returned it but don’t want to wait anymore time. McDonald’s has a better chicken salad. My boy only got the bacon burger and fries. He said it was ok but not worth the $ 9. Would not recommend to anyone!!!

Horrible place. They close at 10 but when i got there at 845 two nights ago, most of chairs were on table. I go to order a burger and milkshake, the blonde lady said that she stopped serving milkshakes (keep in mind this was the reason that i cane out from san marcos). It would of been one thing to just say that was policy, but she proceeded to tell me that she would be here until midnight cleaning if ahe served milkshakes until 10. I decided not to order and leave. I secided to go to whatauburger. Im never coming back to this place again soley on principle.

Came in with a group of friends at 8:30 last thursday and put some tables together so we could be closer together. While we waited for the rest of our friends, we were immediately told «our fryers are down, no fries no friend pickles, no nothing fried». Really? How does your business even function? Im sure they wanted to close up early that day. No way to run a business. Extremely disappointed, I had heard good things about Smashburger and i was really excited to try it. Needless to say, I wont be back to for business. I feel sorry for the franchise owners. Judging by the other reviews, they need to fire everyone at the store and start from scratch if they want to stay open.

3 burgers ordered ²⁄₃ wrong! Told the girl she said well I’ll have to charge you the difference. Said whatever that’s fine. Decided to check the other bacon cheeseburger only to find it had no bacon on it. She took the burger back and they added bacon. Currently standing here waiting for the manager to come out and charge me more for the messed up burger! If I were a dishonest person I would have just left. The cashier finally came out and I told her I was not waiting all day to be charged 1.50. She finally says don’t worry about it! Wow so disappointed! definitely not like my last smashburger experience in Utah!

I called at 1115 to place a lunch order for pick up and got a message they couldnt answer phone. Really?

I have been here many times and they have always had great customer service and yummy food. Today my son told the manager Teddy that the coca cola wasn’t working and got a sprite instead. A few minutes later Teddy brought my son a fresh Coke! We had the mushroom Swiss and it was so juicy! Hubs had an avocado burger with bacon on a wheat bun. It was eaten quickly. Smash fries were crisp and sweet potato fries were salted perfectly. We will back.

This single star is wayy-​yyyyy too many! Popped in for a hand dipped shake, and fir $ 5.00, I expected better than the golden arches, not! For one, the Morticia reject at the counter decided to make me wait while she chatted with grill boy in the back, wait while she wrote crap on to-​go bags and wait for her to serve the three burger baskets, wait while she waited on the four customers who came in after me, then, and only after she delivered one more basket to the fourth person, did she find the strength to make the WORST milkshake ever contributed to by good olé ice cream! Even the cows are disgusted by this piss poor rendition of the milkshake! I have had chocolate milk thicker than this, it was warm, soupy,! Just to get a little more info, i went forensic on it. I poured it out just looking for any trace elements of an Oreo cookie… nope, nothing! Im pretty sure I know what chocolate should taste like, well this wasn’t it.
So, needless to say, I hopped across the street togoodd olé Wendy’s and grabbed a shake!!! Hell yeah, ice cold, thick, presented with pride, and it cost half of what this trendy hand scooped mess costed me!
I wont be back, I won’t be back, yeaah, I am serious, I won’t be back.
Just piss poor service, shake-​a-​tastrophy. Yeah, they suck! I regretted pouring that crap out, now that I have this delicious specimen, I should have taken their crap in a cup back and showed them what a real shake is all about! Can’t say next time, cause I wont be back!

This place made me sick. Food was cold. Big disappointment.

Yum. The Smash fries are yummy. I love that I can get bleu cheese on my burger. They serve beer too, Lonestar, Shiner bock, and two others. It’s always freezing in here, so bring a sweater. Also, can be a little messy, I wish they’d pay more attention to cleaning up. Love the egg buns, egg allergies beware.

Located in a strip mall, along 337 on the north side of NB, Smashburger is in a tuff market. There are many places where one can get a hamburger.
My wife and I stopped by this past Saturday. I had a bacon cheese burger and my wife had a cheese burger. I also had fries.
I like that they have the option of fountain or bottled soda. My wife had tea.
The facility was clean and there were plenty of booths.
My fries were shoestring fries, no greasy. I prefer regular size fries.
The hamburger was moist. It was sort of too moist for my liking. The bun was great. Slightly toasted. The burger seemed too thin to me. Maybe that’s why they call it smash burger.
I think the burger, overall, was OK. I’ve certainly had better.

Love this place! I always get the baja salad and husband gets the baja burger, grilled. It is soooo good! You have to try the rosemary fries as well! Very addicting.

I came in at 935pm, the restaraunt closes at 10pm and I wasn’t able to order off the full menu because they were already closing the store down for the night. Friday night. To bad because I would love to order ff the full menu. I bought closing at 10 meant 10, not 930.

Took my son in for a celebration dinner, and was hoping for big things, when the cashier said, «Welcome to your new favorite burger place!». When an eleven year old labels the food greasy, you KNOW there’s a problem.
We ordered a BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar, Avocado Club, Fried Pickles (SALTY), and Smashfries. I’ve seen fewer grease marks on napkins after eating Lay’s Potato Chips.
