Oak Hills River Inn

My Mother and I stayed here in June last summer (2014) for a few nights to de-​stress from some family issues. We stayed in the ‘Treehouse’ cabin and maybe it was that we stayed in the middle of the week or something but it was lovely, quiet, and secluded. No one bothered us. Possibly the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in. I started sleeping in the second, smaller bedroom but ended up just sharing the big one with my Mother. The bed in there was HUGE and oh so soft… Clean Linens. Clean Fresh Towels. Having a washer and dryer in-​house was amazing too especially after coming in from the river. Having our own sitting area outside was fabulous as well. Im already planning on booking this cabin for my honeymoon in May. I sure hope its available when I need it!
Heads up: It isnt actually ON the river. It is across the street. That was a bit of a bummer, but we went down to the float house the owners also operate across the street and had free access to the river as well as discounts on food. Well worth 275 $ night. Felt like a home away from home.

stayed here two years in a row, 1^st year everything was fine, second year the owner went crazy, she was very drunk and very intrusive. came to complain that someone had left a cigarette butt in the flower bed and went crazy yelling that this was her home, a girl in our group said calm down mama, we will clean everything before we leave, she decided that she would call the local police who seemed feed up with the owner for over reacting. If you are looking to have a good time, STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE

We stayed here for our anniversary two years ago. We actually stayed in their RV that they rent out while they are not traveling, although I would love to go back and stay in the cabins! We had the best weekend ever. They are situated directly on river road and the RV sits right next to a tube rental/​resturant Lone star float house. The owners are so nice and we go back every year and float from that same place. The RV was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and was full of everything, just had to buy some food to grill on the patio! It was a wonderful place and I look forward to the next time we get to go! Their website is
