I have to say this place offers a delicious, affordable meal and is a local«best kept secret». No disappointments here, plenty of parking, good food, reasonable prices with great service.

It was decent. I wouldn’t write home to mama about it, but it was decent. I ordered the seafood platter for lunch. Fried shrimp, scallops, clams, haddock, and French fries, for $ 16.50. Sadly, there was actually and literally only one shrimp on the entire platter; that was disappointing. Other than that, the other features were there and in bountiful amounts. The ambiance was a 5⁄10. Empty and had an 80’s musk. Doilies were on the Windows — gave it a real Golden Girls feel. Parking was plentiful. Would return if I were in the area and starving(starving, not hungry).

One of the best spots in New Bedford for a great meal. Not fine dining, but resonably priced, consistently good, well crafted American food. This is a family owned restaurant and the staff is phenomenal. They always have great specials, including cocktail specials. Dated décor but this is the place to go to get a good meal. Of note, the complementary grilled bread is worth the trip!

Great family dining, good chowder. Fish and chips were not greasy and prompt seating for a Friday night. Consistently good food. Highly recommend.

Me &. Eds. left a lot to be desired today when I went out with my family. While the service was good, the chili I ordered was not to my liking, as I found it very oily. To not be rude and say there was something wrong with it, I told the server that it just wasn’t the way I liked it and had her take it back. When the bill came, we saw that the chili was still charged. I asked my server and she said that she requested management remove it, but they said no there wasn’t anything wrong with it, so I had to pay for it if I liked it or not. Poor management. Sad.

Went for dinner on a Friday night and arrived early enough to be seated promptly, server was nice enough. She did bring a bonus round of cherries for the kids when requested. Enjoyed the garlic bread, but the bread alone did not save this meal: Stuffed Chicken was really bad banquet food, circa 1980. I imagine some folks may like this style of food, but I was surprised any restaurant today would be serving something so dated. The white gravy was a pudding texture and highly suspect. My husband ordered the Surf and Turf and felt everything was pretty standard. Enjoyed the seafood cracker topping which was toasted to a golden brown and drenched in butter. He mentioned that the steak could use more seasoning. A small cheese pizza rounded out our order and our 4 yo enjoyed his slice. Not sure, we’d make it back, but if we do, it’s pizza and beer only.

Don’t pass up this surprising gem. Service was friendly and good. Food is excellent. The clam chowder is award winning and delish. The calamari was tender and flavorful. Everything is yummy-From the pizza to their seafood and steak. It’s rare to find a place that can make a wide range of food really good.

I’ve visited a couple times, and I thought it was good. The Italian entrees are pretty good and the seafood is dependable. The prices are super reasonable too! Then, my friend had them cater her wedding. I was floored. I never imagined a casual, seemingly family restaurant like this being able to handle an up-scale wedding. They did, and very well! This is a place I definitely try to visit when in the area.

What a great find. If it wasn’t for Unilocal wouldn’t ever had found this restaurant. Was visiting UMass dartmouth with my daughter, we searched for a good local meal(no chains wanted!).we were warmly greater eventhough everyone. seemed to know each other. Our waitress was wonderful and helped steer us to a great salmon and cranberry wild rice special. The place was warm and inviting and even with the generous portions, we had nothing left! Definitely recommend this place!!!

This place is a part of my history growing up in New Bedford /So. Dartmouth and I have fond memories of my parents taking me here for dinner all the time in the late 70’s /early 80’s back during the time of the original owners. I live out west now, but still remember the fun atmosphere and delicious food at Me & Eds. I try to get back rarely but it has been a while. Our favorite things have always been the linguica pizza! the spaghetti is also great, and the fresh fish & chips, all cooked perfectly. Wait staff is friendly and were always smiling, happy to have you dine there. I can’t wait to get back!

I’ve been going to Me and Ed’s since I was a kid. I remember when it was owned by the orignal owners — Me(Carl) and Ed Pimental. The place is still the same as ever — good food, good service, good prices. I love the wait staff and Corey makes a great martini. If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor and go! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!!

This place has become a staple for eating out in the city of new bedford. Always consistent and definitely a great family oriented sort of place. The menu selection is great, definitely something for everyone. Recently they updated their menu to include gluten free options(fish, steak, anything thats easily able to be altered or not prepared ahead of time) and gluten free pizza(hands down my favorite around) The people that own and work at this place are always friendly and welcoming!

My cousin Deb and her husband Doug took me to Me & Ed’s for supper. They have something for everyone on their menu. We were seated quickly and asked for our drink order. This place has tons of character. It’s homey and the wait staff are attentive. Since I was told on the drive over that New Bedford is the fishing capital of MA, I thought that I should take advantage of the fresh seafood on the menu. I ordered the grilled salmon which comes with two sides… I had steamed broccoli and squash and ordered ginger ale to wash it down. Supper at Me & Ed’s was perfectly delicious. I cleaned my plate!

Me and Eds never fails to impress us! Their Pizza is fantastic and the prices are great. We usually use the take out window, and have found the longest we have had to wait after calling in is about 15 minutes.

Great food. Reasonable prices. Bought two large pizzas to go and they gave me a small one topping for free. Awesome deal! Highly recommended.

We love Me & Ed’s! Now get this straight, this is not a fine dining establishment. It’s a nice family restaurant with great food, great service, big portions and fair prices. You can eat upstairs in the dining room or downstairs in the pub. Either is a good option, even the«pub» is family friendly. The pub can be a little louder though(as to be expected), some nights they have live music too. The décor inside is on the old side, it’s been the same since coming here as a kid with my own parents. It kind of reminds me of eating at grandma’s house. My wife and I come here quite often. They bring hot garlic bread to the table shortly after you are seated and it is delicious. Any of the fried seafood is good, and I’ve tried just about all of it. My favorites would be(in no particular order) the fish and chips, fried clams or seafood platter. When I can talk myself out of fried seafood they do have some nice steak choices, I’ve only tried the steak tips and the prime rib specials. My wife has had pizza, filet mignon with baked stuffed shrimp and broiled seafood. We’ve never had a bad meal here or experience. They have many more options than I have mentioned, you can check the full menu out for yourself at… It’s a nice comfortable place to go for some comfort food!

I’ve been going to Me and Ed’s since I was a little kid. Brings back memories of our family sitting in one of those round tables in that room off to the side. I’ve never had a bad meal there. My husband and I still eat there quite often.

Love this place! Friendly staff, quick service and excellent food! We started with the broccoli cheddar bites, which were outstanding. They also give delicious homemade garlic bread! I had the fried shrimp with fries and the portion was huge. My boyfriend had the fish and chip with fries and was very satisfied. It also came with chowder, which was an added bonus. For dessert, we had the chaos cake to go. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the New Bedford area! You won’t be disappointed!

This is a place my hubby remembers very fondly from growing up in this area. One of the only places in the area that serves Linguica sausage ground up on pizza and it is great! A medium crust which is more traditional for us than some other local crispy thin crust. We are visiting from Virginia and enjoyed our dinner very much. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, a good beer for us(more options than Bud Light). I am sure we would be regulars if we lived in the area. Yum!
