I will never eat here again. Yesterday when I got my breakfast I immediately pointed out the cat hair on my steak Mozambique. The waitress attempted to remove it with her finger nails then took it away when she was unsuccessful. She said that they would cook another which I thought was true until I took a bite and it was nearly cold. This to me was proof that she brought back the same steak. The orange looking potatos were greasy. The atmosphere was super noisy due to several small children running around playing and crawling around on the floor. I felt like I visited a daycare. I can overlook that but I cannot overlook blatantly poor service. This shows a lack of care. I could never trust these folks with my food again.

I ordered the steak tips with poached eggs and swapped the Mozambique sauce for hollandaise which made a delicious Steak Eggs Benedict. Delicous.

Once you have steak tips and eggs for breakfast you kinda don’t want to eat bacon anymore… no way I love bacon but seriously place is

The waitress was good, but the food was below average. Ordered scrambled eggs, sausage and home fries. I was not impressed at all.

Not so thrilled with my experience. I ordered the sweet bread French Toast w/blueberries. The pieces of bread were much smaller than I expected, as was the whole dish. The bread was also fairly thin and so, not absorbent, so the French Toast was dry. The blueberries were frozen. The syrup was definitely bottled and tasted like plain corn syrup. The bacon was pretty good. The coffee was the worst I’ve had this year, or perhaps ever. I literally couldn’t finish the cup, a first for me. I consider myself a connoisseur of coffee however, I am not picky and am happy with just a basic cup if that’s all thats available. This tasted like the pot was brewed when whaling was still legal. The service was great. I was the only customer in there. My server was friendly, attentive and even asked if I want my bacon soft or crispy. Ive eaten at 4 downtown breakfast restaurants in New Bedford this week, and this was the only negative experience.

Yesterday afternoon it was a beautiful day so after attending church I decided to go with two of my friends to Cobblestone Restaurant for breakfast. They were very attentive but unfortunately something happened that really disappointed me and the rest of my party. One of the orders of pancakes came with a very long human hair. We pointed it out to the waitress and she immediately took the plate back to the kitchen and after 10 minutes brought a new order of pancakes, «hairless». Unfortunately, that event was not the big dissapointment. All this time I didn’t say anything. I actually wanted to test them. I wanted to find out what is their protocol in situations like this. For this I had to wait until the end. What a let down!!! When I asked for the bill I was expecting for them to at least comp my friends plate. Mind you, most restaurants comp the entire bill. Not this one! Before leaving I went up to the manager and told them in a nice way that I was extremely dissapointment the way their establishment handled our problem. On our way out the waitress ask my guest if she wanted to be reimbursed. Her response was: «It wasn’t about the money».

Great little place for brunch with a very homey and personal feel to it. I got the Portuguese Benedict, which was served on real Portuguese sweet bread with linguica(sp?). Both are a special treat for me because I live up north so Portuguese sweet bread and linguica are not something I have often. The wait staff were very nice and friendly and our food came quickly! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality restaurant in New Bedford!

Worst service I have ever had. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks even though it wasn’t busy and the people that walked in after us got their order first. Waitress never came back to check on us. The food is average. I’d rather drive the 40 minutes to Newport for a proper breakfast and Bloody Mary.

Well it was crowded when we got there so I was eager to try the food. There was a short line and so we sat down in about 10 minutes. We sat down at 10 am, ordered at 10:10 am and didn’t see food til 11:00 am so be prepared to wait on the weekends. In regards to the food, they have a nice variety but I’m particular about the details. I ordered the ½ order of the California Benedict and only paid $ 1 less so you are better off getting a full order. Anyways, on a Benny the eggs are suppose to be over easy, my 1 egg was cooked through. I’m sorry but that’s a fail in my book. We just didn’t enjoy their egg Benedict’s. The wait was too long and definitely not worth it, at least for the eggs Benedict since that’s all we tried. The coffee was ok, a little weak in my book and they really should have a variety of sugars and sweeteners on the table. I should not have to ask for splenda. It was slow to get our bill as well. I read great reviews about this place but I didn’t have a great experience so I won’t come back. Maybe it was an off day, but if you can’t get it together on the busiest breakfast days then that’s just not a good restaurant to go to.

First time visit. Had the special pumpkin raisin walnut pancakes. DELICIOUS! Great service from our very friendly waitress. One of my daughters had their fresh fruit and yogurt which came in a big old-fashioned sundae glass. Also atmosphere was 1950′ s cozy, but clean and updated. Definitely will be back!

We needed a nice breakfast place near the Marina. Nice place. Clean. Staff super-friendly and attentive. Me and three kids. Prices are reasonable. Food arrived promptly. Everyone loved their meals. Will be our go-to place when we’re nearby again.

Great service, cutie pie spot, ample street parking, varied menu and tasty food. The Bloody Mary’s are wonderful. I appreciated the house made mix with a lovely blend of spices. Lots of locals which is always a good sign.

There are few breakfast places in New Bedford so i wasnt surprised at the small line outside. I was pleasantly surprised though that the quality of the food, and speed and friendliness of service justified the short wait. There were several families with kids in here that would have put alot of restaurants of this type in the weeds, but it was clear this staff was used to it, so 2 tops didn’t suffer poor service or food as result. I won’t go into the food accept to say it was fresh, hot, and good… worth the price. Try Cobblestones out… we’ll be back!

The best place for breakfast. Their food and staff is great. And you get a bloody mary with your breakfast. This is one of our top 5 places for breakfast. And they grind their own coffee. That is more than other places.
