Dropped by this location last night about 30 minutes from closing. I wanted to order some fries and a root beer float. I was told that it would take 10 – 20 minutes because they were only using one fryer. Also that I could not have a root beer float because they were out of ice cream for the night. Pretty sad experience and really speaks to the staff and management. There was a line of 5 – 6 cars behind me that were likely told the same thing. All I can assume is that business must be booming for them to turn away customers!

Before we could even order, we were informed that they were only using one fryer and that would cause each order to take twenty or more minutes to get cooked and that they were closing at 9:30pm. Since we we’d arrived at a few minutes after 9:00pm and there were three of us, we elected to go elsewhere to the immense relief of the wonderfully informative staff. I can’t imagine that the folks who own this franchise like the idea of turning away customers…

Cheese Curds! This is not just a «Long John’s Silver» but also an A&W — same building, and you can order from both menus! The fish here was — what you’d expect. Fried, large pieces that were actually surprisingly moist. The Batter was seasoned, and the food did not leave behind grease spots on paper or fingers. It went VERY well with an A&W root beer — and brought back memories of drive in A&W in Alaska looking at the Lions … Uhh. you had to be there. Excellent Fast Food — Fish and Hamburgers, Cheese Curds, and«traditional» A&W Root Beer.
