This place used to be a favorite of my husband’s and mine. It was nothing for us to spent 70 dollars at every visit leaving with BAGSFULL of movies and books. They used to have the best staff. They may have had tattoos and piercings and while some may think that«unprofessional» they were quite possibly the best people for that job. Parents would come in and ask the staff about a game their kids wanted and the staff would be able to answer. I would walk in with nothing but an obscure quote from a movie I had seen long ago and the staff would have identified it, placed the movie in the store and have rung up my items in a matter of minutes! The books and movies were piled to the celing… you could spend HOURS looking around and find a gem! NOW things have only changed for the worst. The owner hired his daughter to run the store. Gone are the days of low prices and sidewalk sales only to be replaced by extremely high prices. Gone are the days of the cool knowledgeable staff only to be replaced by completley dull staff who couldn’t even come up with«titanic» if you told them that you were looking for a movie about a big famous boat that sunk. Gone are the days of searching through all the treasures to find that one«gem» only to be replaced by a much smaller selection. We gave this place a try a couple of times after the managment change and purchased ONEUSEDMOVIEFOR20DOLLARS! Of course I was pregnant at the time and completely certain that I couldn’t raise my soon to be born twins unless they had they had the animated versioon of Robin Hood. Now that my hormones have gotten back in check and my sanity is back… we won’t be atepping foot in there again unless it goes back to being the great«hole in the wall» with the wonderful staff and the gems waiting to be discovered!
