We had reserved sitting for New Years Night of Funk(two bands, 4 hour show). There was no where to sit if you didn’t have reserved sitting. So every time my husband and I wanted to sit down, there was a group sitting at our table. I hate having to get in an argument/confrontation every time we went back to our table. People weren’t aware that they couldn’t sit there, even though it had our name on it. One guy stole the name sheet off our table, after we made him leave. Finally, we were so upset when we found another group at our table, we just left around 11:30pm. Four confrontations in one night was enough. Very disappointed. They should have had some additional sitting, instead there was no seating if you didn’t have reserved seats. For a 4 hour show, that’s irresponsible.

We were married here last weekend, and received so many compliments on the venue. The stone hall was amazing and perfect for a wedding of ~120 people with spacing for dancing and dinning. The staff was very accommodating, and someone was there for our entire event. We really got a chance to use the space and it kept our guests entertained. Miners Foundry really is a gem, and if you are looking for a fun and engaging venue that will add to your wedding experience, then look no further! We even had the fire place going! So beautiful! This was a lovely venue where my BFF got married. The kitchen seemed functional enough to facilitate people making tasty food in a timely manner. I was just a guest, so I don’t know how the staff deals with actual bookings, but I enjoyed my time here.

Remarkable historic building used for a music venue. Ventilation was a little stodgy, but the room had good acoustics, plenty of seating and was appealingly rustic. Bar setup and rest rooms had no lines so that was good and the band was excellent. Nice job converting an old industrial facility into something usable by today’s standards!

We booked this venue for our wedding and we were so excited! The place is beautiful, I will give it that. and convenient. However, it was sooooo HOT!!! Our guests couldnt even enjoy the DJ because they had to go outside to get some fresh air. The place is not air conditioned, and we thought that because of all the windows, it would be fine… unfortunatly, the windows do not all open, only a couple of them do. Yes, they provide fans, but, come on… 100 people and four floor fans do not make a comfortable room. For the price, I was hoping for more.

Went to a psychic fair here. Yes I know a little strange, but the old brick & stone building in this little town, actually made for a great location for this type of event. the building itself has a lot of history, so maybe I was feeling the«psychic energy»? It is a small place but has a lot of room to move around in, so you don’t feel crowded. It was a cool little spot for a an event. I heard they do wedding receptions there too. I can imagine how that would look, I think with the right decorations and lighting it could make for a really cool place that can be transformed. It looks like it is from another time inside.

Came for live music Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys, a Zydeco Band from Opelousas, LA. Great sound system, big dance floor, friendly staff, beer and wine and soft drinks were available. Great time by all, and the music was a real treat. Jeffery’s music allowed many to do the«Happy Dance» Young and old.

I have been here multiple times. I have mainly seen a local band here several times, called The Deadbeats. However, I’ve also seen Leftover Salmon here and some other names that I can’t quite recall right now. Usually this place serves beer and wine; every show that I have been, prices were reasonable. I’ve also seen them selling pies and cakes while walking around; I assume they’re straight, but I usually couldn’t tell — due to the drinks and my own treats. Loses one point, because I often have seen plain clothes local law enforcement here standing around … I have never seen anyone busted and I haven’t seen any fights, so it’s been chill every time for me, anyway. It is common to see larger vehicles getting into fender benders after shows here that I’ve been to. Parking is usually best on other streets and not this lot.

Concert Only Review: I won a ticket to see a reggae show featuring Midnite at the Miners Foundry and found it more than adequate. It’s small to mid-sized, but is able to accommodate hundreds of dancers. Acoustics were pretty good for an old building. I especially liked the multiple entrance and exit points, making it easier to step out for fresh air. Nevada City is a tad off the beaten path, and getting there is a white knuckle experience driving Hwy 20 during the winter. Personally saw several spin outs and collisions during the ride. Be careful. During normal business hrs, the museum is free and looks to be navigable in 30 min or less(not much to see). Woulda loved to have hung out more, learning the history and shopping, but I was only there for the concert. There’s also a winery located next to the museum. Midnite was mesmerizing(IRIEMON). One Love, Jah bless.

My friend held her wedding here this past weekend. I have to say it was pretty cool. Some of the pictures on the wall are a bit creepy, but overall the historical aspect paired with the wedding gave it a unique appeal. I don’t know all of the wedding rental details but I was there during the rehearsal and pre-wedding and post wedding setup and everyone was great to work with.
