Excellent! This is what we do every time and walk away always happy. Get a seat at the bar, it’s just me and my husband, order beers, order muscles marinara and fried calamari, rest a little, get more beer and order a pizza. Enjoy the conversation with strangers at the bar and with the exceptional bar tenders and then call it a night. The best! Worthy of 5 plus stars!

This place has excellent customer service and the food comes out so fast, which is perfect when you are hungry or have been waiting. We went around 3 pm and they have an early bird special menu that is applicable from 3 – 5. They didn’t have a large selection of beers on tap but if you like light beer you are in luck! Their pizzas are thin crust and delicious!

Best pizza at the shore! Super thin crust and delicious sauce! Plan on waiting for a table, it’s always crowded but it’s worth the wait! Full bar on premises and there is a full menu along with the awesome pizza.

This place is a local institution. If you like thin-sliced pizza… this is THE place. The only thing keeping it from a 5-star review is the fact that it gets way too crowded and you are kinda-hurried through the meal(even during the offseason). The staff is friendly and accommodating… it’s just busy. If local… I’d recommend stopping in on an off night to check it out… but then make takeout your preference. If you are from out of town… just suck it up and endure the long wait times. It’s worth it.

My favorite pizza hands down. It is thin and crispy and served just right every time. Buffalo calamari is my favorite appetizer. My son loves the Dino chicken nuggets and smiley face fries. Cheap beer and perfect service every time. The wait can get long on the weekends so I tend to go on off days or for lunch. Be prepared to wait at least an hour on a Friday or Saturday night. I wouldn’t mind except the waiting area is almost non existent inside and you can’t take your drinks outside the doors, which is still inside but past the doors. This bums me out which is why I choose to go on off times. Just something to keep in mind

I’ve been coming here since I was a small child. In fact, I had my 3rd grade birthday party here! While thin crust pizza is not for everyone, if you are a fan, you will absolutely love this place. The only thing I wish I could change is that you can’t get an XXL for take out, but that’s hardly a complaint… just a testament to how good the pizza is, because I’m always looking for more!

I’ve come here a few times before while visiting my girlfriend and I always thought it was pretty good but it’s overpriced. The pizza is almost as thin as paper but it’s good but there’s no reason a pie that’s this thing should be $ 18. I also had the fried calamari and it was soggy and the batter it was fried in was not good at all. So the pizza is alright with me, I just wish it was cheaper cause it’s too thin. If you’re gonna get a pizza, might as well do the challenge where you get a free t shirt after finishing it which would make it somewhat worth it.

I wish I had known about the 22″ pizza challenge, because given how thin the crust of Pete & Elda’s delicious pies are, I could absolutely kill one if well prepared appetite-wise. In all seriousness, while super-thin, the crust at P&E’s isn’t floppy and holds up to the fresh, tasty sauce and not-so-oily cheese. I was especially thrilled with the fact that they use fresh shrooms as opposed to the canned stuff most pizzerias opt for. Add an app to share(the zucchini sticks are a good bet), a cold beer, and you’re good to go!

This was one of our family favorites while we lived in New Jersey. They have great pizza and the service was always friendly. If we are ever back in town we’ll certainly make it a point to stop by.

Just drove in from NC and boy are my arms tired! Seriously though, I called my mom from Virginia and told her I wanted some Kane beer, some mussels, and an XL pie. I got what I craved, couldn’t be happier! Ive been eating at Pete and Elda’s since i was born in ’79 and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Thanks guys!

This place is an institution as far a shore pizza goes, so I had to check it out. It’s divey, but also a family-friendly eatery/bar that’s always crowded and almost always has a wait, especially in the summer. Pete and Elda’s serves thin-crust, bar-pie style pizza. The crust is so super thin and crispy, you might say it comparable to a cracker crust. As long as you haven’t ordered ten different toppings, your slice will remain crisp and parallel to the table as you eat it. Personally, I liked the crust, but none of the other components shined and didn’t wow me at all. Would I eat it again, sure, but I wouldn’t go out of my way or wait in-line for it.

Okay, so I often complain about the online review mentality where everything is either AWESOME(«5 stars — Better than sex!») or SUCKS(«1 Star — Why can’t I give negative stars?!»). I complain so much about it that I try very hard to avoid these extremes in reviews that I write. By definition, 60% of places are 2, 3, or 4 stars. However, the pizza at Pete & Elda’s Bar is AWESOME, though admittedly I am a total sucker for thin crust. The sauce is fresh-tasting. The cheese is good. The toppings are top-notch. I even liked the divey atmosphere, the loud room, the crazy-busy parking lot(during the off-season!) and our inexplicably slightly surly teenaged server. The pizza was so good that it overcame all of that and made me love the place. Please, if you’re looking for fine dining, go elsewhere. Please don’t compare Pete & Elda’s to that little Left Bank brasserie you visited, or the $ 150/plate meal that your company paid for. Similarly, if you think Domino’s is great, don’t go here. Go if you can appreciate a very well-crafted pizza that isn’t one of those pathetically fussy Artisanal Heirloom Tomato/Semolina Tart with Organic Arugula and Shaved Bourbon-Braised Bozeman Bear Balls for $ 29. Pizza is a simple, working-man’s food. Pete & Elda’s gets it, and so should you!

Long waits; cold beer; good pizza. That’s the cliff notes version of this review. Pete & Elda’s bar is always crowded and getting a seat for Carmen’s can take hours on a Friday night in summer. On my most recent trip, they said the wait would be 30 minutes, it was about 15. However, when you order a pizza be prepared to wait a while. Since all pizzas are made fresh to order there is often a delay. The pizza is generally good. I have had a few times where the kitchen was off. But overall, a good solid experience.

this is a Benny spot, however, it’s on point. slices are thin and the crust is like a cracker. if you come here with gourmet coal fired expectations you’ll be super disappointed. calamari is fabulous also. their spicy marinara is unreal. delicious garlic bread w cheese also!!!

Far and away the most grossly overrated pizzeria in the state. The crap they pawn off as pizza is an absolute disgrace… Crust is paper thin Matzo-like wafer Sauce is completely bland and cheese is terrible … No clue what the hype is about here!
