Really liked the fried oysters, and crab cakes. Good selection of beer. My friend has the bangers and mash and it being an Irish pub we had high expectaions. It left you feeling like, you saw the trailer and then the movies was… a big wtf. Would come back, service is great and the servers smoking.

Horr.i. ble!!! :UGHHHH where to begin. There is a reason there is NOT a wait to get a table in this place. 1. The prices are off the charts high. Bangers and Mash for $ 20.00!!! Ridiculous… almost EVERY single item on this menu is OVERPRICED I won’t waste you time listing them all…2. The service sucks… it took over an hour and half for 4 people to get served and all we ordered was 2 burgers, 1 salad, and corned beef sandwich… and the place was not even crowded. I ordered a Cesar Salad. they put creamy italian dressing on it, it was gross. 3 other tables called the manager over to complain about their food and service while we were there… save yourselves the money and time and go somewhere else!

Chicken Pot Pie was amazing! Was recommended by a friend who had visited the area before and it did not disappoint.

Okay. First off I want to say it was a Thursday evening around 7pm. With that said, service was great. The place wasn’t crowded at all. Didn’t know they were open. Lol. Anyway, I love a place with a great Fish & chips dish on the menu. Well sorry this place isnt it. It was«okay» bit not great.

Place is serviceable. Good location and bar staff. Definitely a washed down version of what an Irish pub would be in the middle of a Disney style hotel, restaurant and convention center. The décor is a little forced and missing the must have character. Tables to pull your own pints is a nice add you wouldn’t see in Ireland. The lack of Smithwick is disappointing

The best thing I can say about this place is the server was super nice and friendly. She was awesome, the rest… not so much. Where to start… The place is so ill-lit on the inside that I stumbled on the way to the table. There’s so few of those on the inside that I imagine they are confused when you order food. This is a hook-up, drink yourself silly place. Not a place to eat. The«chairs» for the tables are pub height stools, and so badly shaped that I kept sliding off mine. And no, I wasn’t drinking. I’m not a beer fan, so I didn’t try any beer. I’m sure it’s fine and the main reason to come here. If you want craft beer, check out the other reviews because I can’t comment on that. If you’re looking for food… read on. Hubby and I ordered the fish and chips and the chicken pot pie. At first glance, it looked very good. One bite of the chicken pot pie and I thought… what is that flavor? It’s not gravy. It’s not… anything I could name. But it wasn’t good. It tasted almost sour. Is that an Irish thing? The fish and chips were doused with Old Bay(both things). Which at first was fine but grew old fast. After a few fries and one piece of fish, hubby was not only done with it but feeling nauseous. Heavy… very very heavy. Too much grease. Too much Old Bay. Just… too much. Maybe if we’d split the fish and chips that would have worked better. I don’t know. Since we’re gluttons for punishment we ordered the Apple Crisp to share. It was… meh. Dry. Then came the bill. Two meals, one dessert, and one soda came to $ 53. For pub food. that’s ridiculous. I felt like an idiot for paying that much for food that I could have got out of CVS for half the price. Seriously… pub food should be cheaper. It’s cheap food, at a ridiculous price. By the time I left I couldn’t walk because the chair was so horrible and I had to contort my body to even stay on the thing. Good thing it was so dark… nobody could see me hobble out. If you wanna play darts and hook up, fine. I’m sure the beer works great. If you want good dining experience, look elsewhere.

This place was fine! My friend and I stopped by on a whim when we were at National Harbor waiting for our reservation to Bobby McKeys. We had beers(moderately priced – nothing special) and shared some pub fries. The pub fries were uninspired. They have some unidentifiable cheese sauce on them and came with sour cream for dipping. I’d recommend choosing another appetizer but otherwise it was a decent experience. The vegetarian options were lacking. I know, it’s an Irish restaurant, but still! Catering to various nutritional needs is always a plus in my book.

How can this place be called an Irish Pub when they don’t even have Jamison’s! Really ??? Had a Bar Feel but not as an Irish Pub!

I had a work lunch here while I was in National Harbor for a tradeshow. The place was practically empty when we got there so we have great, attentive service and the food came fast. I had the chicken pot pie. It was actually very light for a pot pie. Puff pastry on top with a good chicken gravy and veggies underneath. Definitely a great dish. My colleagues had a variety of items — salads, fish & chips and others. Everyone enjoyed their meal. This is a traditional Irish pub with great food. Definitely has a good bar atmosphere and I am sure its busier at night, especially on the weekends.

I enjoyed eating outside. I was disappointed that the music was not authentic Irish tunes the night I was there. The people are friendly and a great beer selection.

This is the sort of place you’d eat at if you were visiting from Kansas, and I know this because we are. The consensus was to eat here because it sounded like it had beer, which it obviously does. The food was mediocre at best and the service hovered between poor and average. The bread pudding doesn’t suck so if you’re stuck going here because the hive mind of your group picked it, get that and a good whiskey for dinner and call it good.

Came here for happy hour on a Wednesday with some friends, and we were seated immediately. We sat outside, but the inside looked really sweet and had a shuffleboard table. This is the place to go if you don’t want to spend a ton of money! The happy hour deal is $ 10 for a burger and a beer(two different options). Can’t beat that deal! Beer options for the deal are coors lite or the Harrington lager. Harrington lager was a bit dark and super tasty. The burgers was well cooked and a great flavor. Plus the fries were seasoned perfectly. Definitely a steal. Our service however, was a bit underwhelming. One of my friends had lipstick on his glass when his beer was brought out… ummm. Makes you think about how well they clean their dishes. Our server was also pretty slow to bring out waters(on a super hot day) and slow in collecting our cards. It did seem quite busy in there though.

I LIKEIT!!! I love the décor and spacing they allow between tables as you walk in. Nothing like having a little room to maneuver or better yet, not feel like your at more than one table at once. I ordered the Craic(sp) Burger, medium, all the way. What a delicious burger. Simple, delicious meat, obviously fresh and seasoned very simply. The bacon was no joke, nice thick smoky slices and a slab of delicious cheese. One of the best parts, they know what medium means! I don’t like a brick on a bun. This burger was firmly pressed, juicy, and a nice strip of pink right down the middle… Awesome! The fries were fresh cut and sprinkled with Old Bay. Not always a fan of this, but it was subtle, not crazy coated, so I enjoyed those as well. Lastly, sitting at the bar, I chatted it up a bit with the bartender. He made an EXCELLENT Old Fashioned. Perfect balance of sweet, acid, and the booze. I will be back in National Harbor in a couple weeks, and already told the wife, we will be eating there at least once on our vacation!!!

Decent place to come for a drink and meet up with people if the location works out. There are much better places to go in Old Town and DC proper if you are looking for service, food, and ambiance, but as Unilocal describes 3 stars(A-OK) this place will do in a pinch and avoid the traffic pitfalls of those other options if you happen to be in the National Harbor area.

Nice selection of draft beers. Cocktails are so-so. Very noisy, don’t know how to describe the music. Club? Definitely not Irish. Service is perfunctory. $ 7.63 for a Guinness with tax. «Late night» kitchen closes at 1am sharp(couldn’t order at 1:03) even when bar is open until 3am. Then again, one bartender told me no food, the kitchen was closed. Just as I was leaving after my beer, a different bartender told a patron next to me that a late night menu was available. WTF? No wi-fi.

We only stopped in late night to have a drink… it stayed open until 3:30am and was still serving alcohol after 2. The crowd was chill and very Diverse. The music was BLAH… Not happening for me but the bartender was cool and poured Good Drinks. Nit much more I can say about this place.

Great Shepherds Pie. My dinner companion had the Bangers & Mash and she really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and well stocked bar! They make an excellent Black and Tan as well!

Harrington’s shoots for the bullseye of mediocrity, and hits it perfectly. It begins with the indifferent decoration. I like Irish pubs, but you can tell that whoever designed this place believed a preponderance of alcohol bottles on the wall above the bar was Irish enough and the rest of the theming could be accomplished with framed pictures hung haphazardly, and crookedly, on the wall. Also, get this: the same pictures are used multiple times(see my photo), which is somewhat amusing. Talk about not giving a crap about how your restaurant looks. The Bön Jovi CD playing on the sound system also added to the Irish theming I had already come to expect from this place. I should mention, I had read the Unilocal reviews ahead of time, so I can’t claim to have been surprised by anything about this experience. My son and I went anyway, because we were at Katsucon at the Gaylord Hotel, and it’s close by, and the food at National Harbor is almost unilaterally bad, so it’s not like we’d be missing out on some great experience we could have had at another restaurant. Besides, it was«50 Shades» opening weekend, and I wasn’t going to see the movie, but apparently felt like I needed to be a masochist to take part in the whole cultural phenomenon. So, the food. «Irish-ness» is accomplished through indiscriminately labeling items«Irish,» such as «Irish bacon» or «Irish cheddar.» I admit I’ve never been to Ireland, but these items appear on a turkey sandwich and basic cheeseburger, so I’m not really feeling the exoticism here. «Celtic» and«Gaelic» are also added to the menu wording, if you’d like a steak or mussels with those words in the name. My son and I ordered BBQ wings and pretzels with Guinness fondue. He thought the wings were pretty terrible. I disagreed; I thought they were okay, if a bit one-note and overly sticky-sweet. The pretzels were also okay– if you down a couple of beers ahead of time, I’m sure they’re even better. The Guinness fondue is cheez whiz, or perhaps Tostitos jarred cheese dip because of the peppers in it, with a somewhat beerlike flavor added to it. It was edible. The only thing about the food/drink I truly disliked was that my $ 3 soda was not very cold and contained a small amount of melting ice. Since I *have* been to England where soda is often served with NO ice, you could consider the warmish beverages the most authentic thing about this place. The service was fine. A little slow, but I’d be more inclined to blame that on the kitchen than our perfectly acceptable waitress. I would have given this place three stars based on the food– you can do worse– but the abysmal decoration is really what cost it a star. It’s an IRISHPUB, for God’s sake. If you’re going to sell it as one, you are supposed to actually make it look like it has a theme, not like you grabbed the last box left behind by the cleanout crew when they closed the Bennigan’s in Greenbelt.

Minus two for inaction. I don’t think I have ever come into an establishment and sat at the bar for… a while without anyone even asking me what my problem was… anyway, it was so long that I just said screw it and left. I bet the bartenders(yes, plural) that I observed walking back and forth and talking in the corner wished I would have stayed. Oh well, I went across the street and was immediately served at Cadillac Ranch by a much more pleasant bartender(much more female and much more cute) than the two chuckle heads across the street at Harrington’s. Oh well. Thanks Stacey!
