Hmmm I was disappointed. I ordered a Michelada with no chamoy but said to still please chili rim the drink. It came back with just huge salt crystals around the rim. Oh well I ordered the mixed seafood toastada off the menu which looked delish with sliced avacado on top. It came with no avacado & drenched in red sauce which I haaaate. Definitely not the picture on the menu. It was pretty pricey for what it was. Very long wait but it’s because it is all made to order so that’s good.

Food we ordered was one of each shrimp, fish, a mixed tostada. The mixed tostada look plentiful for one tostada how ever the other two didn’t look as big. As far as taste, pretty good. Tasted very fresh. Personally I like my ceviche to be more chopped up and this style is chunky. Because of that you could count how many shrimp was on my tostada. Hiding behind all the thick cuts of cucumbers and tomato I summed up about four shrimp. Our chips tasted like they were double dipped in fry oil. So yeah the came out hot but oily and over cooked with hard bite. We also ordered micheladas. They are average. There was nothing that really stood out. Because of that I don’t see why I would ever return. I hope they adapt with change and out do their competitors. When they do I will return.

I really wanted to like this place, a six pack in and yet they managed to get some hair in my camarones costa azul, no credit card is accepted and the service is slow. Food and drinks were good, if it not for the hair and no cc this would be three maybe four stars.

I happened to stumble across Hacienda Los Castillos on accident. I was looking for a Mexican Mariscos restaurant and saw the sign from the street. This restaurant is a small business, no big frills here in ambience but that’s okay. Service is impeccable, the owner treats everyone like family. The food can take a little long to come out but since it’s all made fresh to order, it’s worth the wait. As soon as someone comes in, the cooks fry the chips so it’s still warm when served to the table. It’s accompanied with salsa that is made in house. The salsa is full of flavor but very very spicy, just the way I like it. I ordered the 7 seas soups and was so happy with it. All of the seafood inside(fish, scallop, shrimp, crab, etc) is cooked to perfection. I almost licked my bowl clean! My mother-in-law and I already have another dinner night planned here!
