I came in for lunch and to watch soccer during my lunch today. Nice variety on menu, lots of tvs around restaurant and bar to watch sports.
Food came out fast. I really enjoyed the burger, yummy bun which is hard to find. Burger was cooked well.
Friendly server. I would definitely go back.

I ordered room service from the hotel, I asked for angel hair pasta in marina sauce and was told it would be 10 minutes. After about 30 minutes my food arrived. I had to call back because they forgot my silverware and garlic bread. I was honestly disappointed with my meal. The noodles were over cooked, and it was mushy and unappetizing.

We came in for lunch.
Reasonable price, delicious meals. We had the Baja Burger, pulled pork sandwhich, and a combo turkey breast and swiss cheese with soup.
Outdoor patio dinning, close to the marina. Pets allowed. The server was curtious.

Oh my goodness, where do I even start.
I was staying at the hotel across the street with a group in town for a soccer tournament. I had planned on going to a pancake place for breakfast, however someone suggested we go across the street to Goodie’s as the front desk has discount vouchers. Seemed like a good idea, so a group of about 10 of us headed over and were seated right away. It was about 7:45 — 8:00am so the place was not busy at all. I think there was only maybe one other table when we got in. So we sit and get our drink orders in and the waitress comes back to take our food orders. Still, the place is not busy at all. maybe one other table has been seated since we sat down.
Not too long after the table had ordered the waitress brought out 4 plates. And then we waited. No other food was brought out for a good 30 minutes. Luckily, the 4 who got their food were the kids who were playing in the soccer tournament, so they were able to eat and one of the parent took them over to the park while the rest of us waited for our food. Let me repeat. A table, who all ordered at the same time, only received 4 plates, those 4 were able to eat, pay, and leave the restaurant before anyone else got any food.
Finally after ½ of our group had left, more food was brought out. I never got my order. it must have been forgotten, when I pointed it out to the waitress, she said the kitchen was backed up. Still the restaurant was not busy at all, and ALL the tables who were seated long after us got their food before us. I let the waitress know that the service was completely unacceptable and she had little to offer other than «the kitchen was backed up with orders».
I ended up sharing a plate with my 5 year old as my order never came. Never once did a manager come to talk to us about our experience, even after saying something to the waitress. The whole experience just left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Definitely will NOT be visiting again.

Food was great and our server Jackie gave us awesome recommendations to check out in San Diego.

This is our First time in San Diego and we are staying at the Bay Marina Best Western. Since this establishment is in walking distance we thought we would give it a try. The Baja burger has fresh avocado and jalapeños draped on top. The burgers were fresh and came with fries. They have a happy hour with $ 4.50 margaritas and music piping throughout the bar. We returned for breakfast and the food was just as delicious. The shrimp omelette with avocado was outstanding. I highly recommend checking them out!

Came here twice when staying at the Best Western next door. First time was for a late dinner, ordered our food with an alteration which was forgotten, but our waiter noticed and brought us chips and salsa while it was fixed which was nice. However it took a long time to get our check after we finished.
Second time was for breakfast. Our waiter was very friendly and the food was pretty good. My husband really liked the chicken fried steak. I wasn’t a big fan of the eggs however the pancakes were good.

I am in San Diego, specifically the South Bay about every 6 — 8 weeks, so stay at the wonderful Bay Marina Best Western, right across the parking lot from Goodies. Am surprised that I have not said anything about it for two years.
It has come along nicely. And people have discovered their friendly service, excellent bar and personable bar tenders along with the food variety and quality. I am a regular for breakfast and later dinner, or just a snack and drink later in the day.

Weekend breakfast/​Brunch is for Fambams. We’ve been here few times and we always love this place either breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have good food on their menu. Good vibes, nice location right off the South5freeway exit mile of cars. Great CS friendly. They have happy hour Mon-​Fri, Live music Fri-​Sun & Sunday buffets. Decent place & decent price why not? Definitely coming back soon anytime. Highly recommended. They’re also next to Marina gateway hotel. Few blocks to Pepper park in the heart of National city.

They had pretty good happy hour specials. I ordered the fish ceviche and it tasted like fishy tuna salad. Not impressed. The fish taco I got was pretty good. Not the best but pretty good. I’d go there again for a drink, the atmosphere was nice.

Just had a great breakfast I ordered chicken fried steak with poached eggs and a fantastic goodies caddy margarita. Steak was so tender I was cutting with my fork and my poached eggs perfect. The margarita was strong not weak like most places which I call kool-​aid you can taste the fresh fruit and the vapor of the liquor.

Great place to talk to the locals and very nice bartenders. Always a good place to get a smile and great conversation from the pretty bartenders. Katie and Darlene are sweethearts and very pleasant to the non-​locals from out of town. Great to find a bar that makes you feel at home, even if you’re from Philly. Big selection of Tequilla, a must when in San Diego.

My family and I came here for dinner after checking into the hotel located on the same premises. Also if you stay at the hotel you can order for room service just FYI. It was on a Wednesday around 430ish so it was not too busy. There were probably about 10 – 15 patrons already eating in. We followed the signs which prompted us to seat ourselves.
It took a few minutes before the waitress came to our table to give us menus and take our drinks. Than, it took another 10 – 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. Not sure if the waitress was in the back making apple juice for my son by hand or if she was squeezing lemons for my lemonade but it was unusually longer than expected. However, I must admit after that one very minor hiccup service was expedient. Our waitress was extremely friendly and respectful.
We ordered the carne Asada tacos dinner and the spaghetti dinner. Both dishes were good portions for the prices ($ 10.99−15.99). They were also both very delicious and filling. Since we arrived during happy hour our alcoholic beverages were ½ off.
The overall ambiance of the restaurant is family friendly. We had our son and the other staff members passing greeted and played with him. Since staying at the hotel we used the 15% off flier we received.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner and would come again if we stay nearby.

I was invited to go to Goodies by my friend Nilsa who sings with R: Tyme Band on Saturdays at this location. I loved it. The band played outside on the patio where the service was good and so was the food and the drinks. I had a bloody Mary with an enchilada plate while my daughter had spaghetti and meatballs and my honey had a wrap. None of us could complain about anything that we had and the waitress took care of all of our needs. The ambiance was amazing and we will definitely be going back again when Nilsa is performing. Not only for the band, but the food and the good time.

Not too good:(
Went to happy hour at 6:40. Server didn’t come to take order until 7 o’clock. Happy hour ended at 7. It was probably for the best anyway because happy hour was not much to brag about. There are no discounts, just smaller portions for reduce prices. I ordered the nachos with no guacamole and of course they came with guacamole. The server couldn’t understand anything I was saying and vice versa. I don’t think I’ll be going back there.

Okay so to be to the point. My review is mixed.
It’s a great spot, and great staff. I come here frequently to grab drinks during happy hour. Staff is always super friendly and definitely give the place a good vibe, regardless of how busy it can get.
The food, I have given up on. Some people seem to be fans, but I definitely am not. I have never had good food here and I always get sick after eating here. This could totally be because I am used to higher quality food, and I usually eat healthily. So the deep fried and greased up foods here, totally do not do me any good. If it’s not full of fat, and grease, and fried. Then it tastes like it was something straight from the freezer to the microwave or possibly the oven. If it was a diner or something, I would understand the low quality in food. But considering there is plenty of fast food and a Denny’s, walking distance away. This is a huge disappointment.
The nachos are probably the best thing I have had there. So nachos and the house margaritas during happy hour. That can sometimes be worth the later regret that will come.
Speaking of which. The house margaritas are usually awesome. Usually. If you get a bad one, send it back, because it happens occasionally, and it’s not worth just dealing with it.
It’s not open very late, which is only kind of a bummer because it would be nice to have the bar and like a late night menu available. There is another bar in the area though, if you want to go for a bit of a walk just to the other side of the overpass. It would still be nice to have it open for bar hours. Like until midnight or 2a.
The live music is ⁹⁄₁₀ of the time, way too loud. I never understand way it is so loud. Considering how small the place is, and it’s right next to a hotel, and residential area. It can be very frustrating. If they ever got the volume under control, it would be fun. I always leave as soon as the band starts, and the ones that stay are the ones who just come to get drunk and probably numb to the deafening level of sound. Ridiculous.
All in all though. You will still find me frequent this place, for happy hour drinks with family and friends.

Stayed at the hotel next door for four nights and ate at Goodies at least once a day. Gabriel and his staff were more than accommodating to our group. They went beyond to make our meals enjoyable. We were afraid that eating at the same place everyday would be boring, but it wasn’t.
I enjoyed the surf n turf burrito very much. In fact, everyone at the table asked for a bite. I guess I should’ve ordered two!
Suggestion: If you have a large group and are staying at the hotel next door, I suggest getting in touch with Gabriel. You can do group meals in a private dining room.

I really liked Mishi’s hair and her service was super sweet, cool, and enthusiastic. She was eloquent and knew how to cater to the customers :) they are really great. I liked the food too. The vibes this place gives is like a big friendly home. Yay.
I ate the lime grilled chicken and it was a tad bit dry but there was so much variety and dishes were plentiful and an overall very satisfying meal
