City Wok Buffet

The positive thing is that the variety was good however I was grossed out by the flies landing on the food! Left before we even finished the food was greasy and had no flavor don’t waste your cash at this place!

It’s our first time to try on this restaurant at first entrance no wonder there’s no customers that much, the food at first to taste is good but when I saw the flies and small bugs to the food counter, oh my it’s really nasty I won’t be able to go back again I only wait my kids to finish their ice cream and never try the other foods.

Food was actually really good. a bit salty on the eggdrop soup but other than that I enjoyed it. The server (waitress) was very good. She attended to my niece’s birthday luncheon to all the guest. She was very nice, hard working and made sure we got our beverages. She was the only one working with the many tables. I was amazed at how quick she was to handle such a big table and the others. GOOD JOB TO THE Female waitress who help clean up. She’s the best. The food was pretty tasy, I had the spicy chicken, orange chicken, the mochi ball, sushi was fine, not the best but it is a buffet I don’t expect for local buffet. Ice cream dessert was fine too. I like the egg drop soup, rich a bit salty but kept wanting more bowls of it. A lot of the food was fried which look yummy but for my health concerns I went more with the chicken, and the fresh fruit. Yummy. I think about the kind of foods I eat, I control a bit especially if you eat a big meal later after on hour you will feel a bit sleepy. If you want to taste all the food i suggest portion control. a lot of the food is fried. i.e. the banana, etc. but delicious. I had the almond cookie and ice cream for dessert. I skip soda and drink regular iced tea and used alot o the lemon near the fruit area to help with my digestion. The place was convenient for my relatives since we all live close. It was easy to get to and parking during lunch time was good. IF you want to celebrate a luncheon or anything and you are around the area I think this place is pretty convenient. I’ve been to other buffets like super china buffet. This city wok i a cute size in that it’s not so big not too small and still good for a buffet experience.

The heat lamps are regular light bulbs, the ice cream you scoop yourself and wash the spoon, and the place looks ancient, but it’s $ 9 Booyah!

Cheap prices, food is good. Service is good as well. Clean interior and friendly staff.

It’s hot, really hot at this time, and City Wok just by the immense Price Breakers off Plaza Blvd just didn’t cut it to be a place to eat for a late lunch.
What can you do with the minimum selections to choose from, and that once you come up with a plate of food you’ve got no other options but the same thing because nothing just seems that appetizing here. Another complaint would be the cleanliness, flies upon flies buzzing over the place, hovering over the food being served to the hungry consumer, that’s not right. Another thing about their cleanliness isn’t really open for the public to see, until you decide to reach the restroom and take a peep at the small view of their kitchen, unclean dishes neglected big and small, and sauces kept in foreign containers left on the bottom shelf to be used when needed.
$ 8.99 ain’t worth the flies, and lack of taste and hygiene that this place has. My one star to you for the a/​c that the waiter turned on just because we walked in and we hada tell you to do so.

I have been eating here for awhile, and have finally decided no longer. I have only been going here for their sushi, which is the only thing that is good. After all, it’s hard to screw up steamed rice, and raw everything else.
No one here can speak English, their menu does not match what is served. The food has no flavor, I mean NO FLAVOR! Would it kill them to add salt and pepper? If they are not busy, the food sits there all day and dries up.
I was over charged this last time, and they refused to give me back what they owed me, because NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH HERE!
Sorry City Wok, but your next to go out of business.

I am concern about the kitchen staff’s food safety and hygiene practices. The cook didn’t wash his hands after using the restroom and went straight in the kitchen to resume his cooking duty. if this hand washing is not being done then what else is going on inside the kitchen. scary…

Terrible waitress! She sat in the back looking miserable! We had to stop her to ask for a refill
also …the fact their salt shaker was empty was a major sign of how lazy the staff is! I will never return to this place due to the terrible service, the soda machine was behind a counter otherwise I would’ve filled my own cup. Also they advertise
ice cream on the front window… they don’t have ice cream and the food was only a few degrees higher than room temp.

it was pretty good cheap too. 895 at noon freaking good ill be good again soon.

This place is horrible and the staff are all rude in short do not eat hir. Spend your money in a nice place.

This is by far one of the worst buffets I have ever encountered. I do not consider myself a picky eater and will give everything a try at least once. With that said, the food here is absolutely terrible. Most of the food is fried and the few things that are not are doused in grease and oil. There are hardly any healthy dishes to choose from with the exception of fruit. The entire place just screams generic 99 cent Chinese food.

Came here with my family on the 2^nd of October to try it out. The place was empty, there was a decent amount of food. The costumer service was great! They were very attentive and one of the best costumer service at a buffet that I received in a while. Overall the food was good, the service was great and the cleanliness was average.

Good food, best price for a Buffet…

Tried to go to Chinese City but they are not here anymore. This place has recently been taken over and they seem to have the same options. The food is still really good but I will miss the old owners. I will be back again.
