It is nice to see a gelato place anywhere these days but it is a great treat at a mall. If we go to eat at the mall, we will usually not get dessert and save ourselves for this place after walking around for a bit. It is not the greatest gelato I have ever had but it will do. I think it is too heavily flavored and not subtle enough but still better than other places I have tried. I usually get a coconut/almond concoction and my son will stick with the mint chocolate. The choices of flavors are abundant so finding something to have is easy. The prices are reasonable and they take credit cards.

The only thing worth getting here is their banana caramel crepes. That’s it. Food is not fresh at all. I got a sandwich once, and the bread had a huge mold spot on it. I brought it back and didn’t even get an apology. They didn’t care at all. Other times the salad tastes outright old. I saw another review on here saying the chicken is microwaved, yes that explains why it tastes so fake and rubbery. I wish the mall had better food options.

I always stop by here to grab some gelato before heading home. I usually keep it simple and go with vanilla or chocolate. The consistency and texture is pretty good. If you want 2 different flavors in a cup you must order a medium. I agree with other reviews that service could be better. Hello, I’ve been waiting for who knows how long?

I wish you’d put more buffalo sauce on my buff chick melt. Also this spring mix salad is probably expired. And now I have soggy tortilla chips in my soup that I am currently scooping out. Thanks.

Good Gelato with bad service. Staff not friendly, even the manager or owner I guess.

horrendous service and mediocre crapes a buffet across the street has better crapes, yes a buffet, not a place that specializes in crapes

My double expresso gelato was awesome. My friend’s cookie dough gelato was not so awesome(according to him). It is definitely not as dense as gelato usually is and a bit melty; nevertheless, it tasted great. The bittersweet expresso chip that mixed with the gelato was rather delicious and created a contrasting texture with the actual gelato itself. It was not too sweet and the coffee flavor is rather intense — just the way I like it. We didn’t experience a wait time issue since we only ordered the gelato that were already made and ready to be scooped. The second floor spot in the middle of Natick mall is provides a neat sanctuary in midst of the mall frenzy. I’ll definitely be back to try the gelato in panini — looked like such an interesting concept.

This was the worst sorbetto. Do not try this place. I don’t event know how dessert can go THAT bad, but I can still taste the awful plasticy aftertaste in my mouth.

Waited in line. Workers never even looked up. Completely ignored me. Waited for five minutes before leaving to go elsewhere.

We visited this café the other day as we were at the Natick Mall and there weren’t many food options. We had a strawberry crêpe and a mango sorbetto. The crêpe seemed small but both items tasted good. The atmosphere of the place was quite good as it was a wide open space filled with natural light. We were able to relax and stare at the long line of people on the floor below waiting for the Apple store.

Hands down the worst gelato I’ve ever bought. It was not fresh at all, tasted and felt like it had been melted and frozen over again. The flavor of my strawberry cheesecake was uneventful and unimaginative.

Went to the Melt today and unfortunately had a very bad experience. I have been here before and while the food isn’t the greatest(they’re keen on microwaved chicken) the food came out decently fast. If you do get anything, I’ve tried the Tuscan, the Texas, and the Buffalo. The Tuscan and Texas aren’t bad. The Buffalo is horrifyingly disgusting. Anyway, today I went here with 2 other people. After ordering, one of us got our order after 10 minutes of waiting, me and my other friend got ours another 5 minutes later. Now, there were 4 people working. It was not busy either. I was watching them prepare the food and they all seemed very confused at what they were supposed to be doing. My food comes out and its wrong! I ordered it to go and with salad. It was neither of those. I tell one of the guys to just give me some salad in a to-go box and I’d take the plate as is, but he insisted on moving everything for me. Shockingly, my order gets put down and walked away from almost immediately. I then waited another minute or two for something that should have taken 3 seconds. I literally could have walked back there, made myself a new sandwich in the time it took them to simply transfer it. On a side note, my manager ate her the other day and said it got her sick. Didn’t know about this until after I ordered today, so yeah. Won’t be back in this lifetime.

Got their Nutella crêpe. They went overboard with the powdered sugar. I could’ve made a better crêpe. It was nothing special. I should’ve gotten gelato instead! Their service is AWFUL.

I absolutely love going here for lunch/dinner during work. Their panini’s are delicious and the portion size is great for the money. You even get a mall employee discount. The panini comes with chips or salad. I’ve also tried their sweet crepes, which are very filling. Overall, great and healthy place spend your money in the mall.

For mall food, this Café is pretty good quality for the price. I’ve eaten here around 3 times already and have tried 3 paninnies and 1 crêpe. The sandwiches are somewhat plain, but they taste fresh and come with chips or salad(which comes with a simple balsamic dressing). The price ranges from around $ 6 – 8. The crêpe that I had was decent, but somewhat small and over priced(around $ 5). The lines here can sometimes be a bit crazy, but it’s usually not too busy. I’ve never experienced waiting longer than 5 minutes for my food and the staff is always really nice. The location is clean and located in a somewhat quiet part of the mall.

Can take a long time to get your crêpe Service time is a little slow here, partly because the gelato dept often is crowded on weekends. Crêpe was decently good, prices are a little high but not terrible. The gelato is good, especially the white chocolate raspberry, but is pricey and line is slow cause people ask for samples. Great open seating area in the middle of the Natick Collection mall and overlooking first floor below.

I was so looking forward to checking out Melt after getting their Groupon. Somehow I had missed checking Unilocal before buying the Groupon. Apparently, my failure to do so also caused me to lose valuable time and well money since I was highly dissatisfied. Never before have I had to throw away a crêpe ’cause I didn’t like it! I had ordered the Andalusian Crêpe which had spinach, avocado, tomato, cheese. Now this sounds like a pretty healthy crêpe right? Wrong! There was an absurd amount of cheese in it. Now, I would normally LOVE cheese. However, the amount on here was just plain disgusting and actually quite greasy which voided the whole thing for me. It didn’t sit well in my stomach at all! Additionally, while I had ordered both the crêpe and a gelato at the same time. One would think that you’d ask me if I wanted it now or later since I’m ordering food. Negative. So… I had dessert first. The only saving grace is their gelato, which was actually quite mediocre, since their service was awful in addition to the crêpe I had ingested. The two men behind the counter couldn’t have been any ruder to everyone. Mind you there weren’t any lines or anyone else ordering for that matter. Only myself and a woman in front of me and another behind me. Least the guy knew how to run a Groupon through the register, I’ll give him that. The only one actually working was a third guy making the food, while the other two just fumbled around the front counter.(Grown middle-aged men mind you… not teenagers, who would have actually probably gotten more done.)

To: Melt Gelato & Crêpe Café From: Jamie F. Subject: It’s over Dear Melt, I’m writing to you because I think our relationship has run its course. Yes, I’m breaking up with you… via a Unilocal review. Last time, after giving warm and friendly attention to a woman and her kid, you pretended to not even see me and my sister even though we were clearly waiting. Suddenly you were hostile and reluctant to give my sister a gelato sample, which –by the way– was noticeably smaller compared to what that lady got. Wth. All I ask is for a little more respect when I visit you at the mall. And did you just take 15 – 20 mins to make my strawberry royale crêpe?! OHHELLNO. You’re lucky I didn’t crawl over the counter and b*tchslap you. When my crêpe was finally ready, it looked like it had tumors because it was filled with huge fruit chunks instead of slices — so careless. On another occasion, you forgot the banana slices in the crêpe and accused me for ordering the wrong one. I sense no trust in this relationship anymore. Please don’t try to reach me or question my decision. We’re officially done. Wish it could have worked out, Jamie

What the hell?!? Why does the Natick Collection open at noon on Sundays??? I discovered this this morning once I arrived at 10:38 to get Boyfriend his valentines day present. While debating if I should wait with the mall walkers(nope) I got a vanilla frap from Melt. I go to Melt about half the time when I go to the mall. Basic crêpe and good gelato. The frap was good this morning– def cheered me up for my 20 minute drive home. I suggest you give this place a try if you want something sweet. They have savory crepes but nutella and banana is delightfully chocolately and fruity. they can be pricey for some of their drinks like my small frap was close to $ 4 but I think their crêpe are priced well. A def plus is that they have the calories listed right next to the menu item. It helps you stay in check and not get over zealous with a tasty crêpe or drink that comes to a thousand calories.

2:40pm — we ordered 2 paninis and a savory crêpe, at which time we were told they were out of salad and we could only have chips as our side item, unless we wished to order a salad item. We were given a buzzer thingie, and went back to our table to wait. 3:05pm — after seeing a family retrieve their crepes who had placed their order after us, I went up to the pick up area to check on our order. Two ladies were putting the crepes together, while two guys were manning the panini presses… and gee… were… they… slow… as they seemed to count each shred of onion… Folks getting buzzed to come pick up their orders had trouble picking up their orders, as even the poor ladies at the crêpe area in front of us had trouble identifying the crepes and paninis that were waiting to be claimed up there above eye level on the glass countertop. After 10 minutes, a crêpe lady finally presented us with our crêpe order(with salad!), which we promptly devoured in turns while continuing to wait for the paninis(fortunately we were sharing the three items). I shared my receipt with both a crêpe lady and a panini guy, asking where our order was, but after 15 minutes since the crêpe(if we weren’t sharing, either one person would have been content with two starving, or all three of us would have been sadly staring at a congealing crêpe while waiting for the two paninis) we gave up and demanded our money back for the two missing sandwiches, which the cashier quickly granted us, while the manager ran back to the panini guys and returned to say that our order had been completed, and the paninis must have been taken by other customers… but, we pointed out… our… buzzer… never… buzzed!(Not to mention that while hungrily waiting at the pick up area, I never spotted a drop of bbq sauce in any of the sandwiches(Texas chicken panini)) Perhaps I’ll give them another shot someday for their gelato… but I don’t recommend coming here when you are hungry.
