Wow, what great customer service! I went in this past weekend looking for shampoo and the sales associate was very helpful asking me about hair type and concerns I had. She suggested one of the shampoos and conditioners, but wasn’t ready to purchase it yet(it is pricey and I need to buy those Christmas presents!). But she did give me a sheet of paper and checked off the items. I appreciated the fact she didn’t try to get me to buy then and there. However, I did purchase a foot cream. That evening too they had free either shoulder and neck or hand massages. I took advantage of the shoulder and neck massages. That was a nice break from the crazy Christmas shopping. I’ve always liked Aveda, but this store impressed me — awesome customer service!

I’ve never been one to particularly pamper my skin because it’s difficult. I’ll find something that works for a wash or two, if that, and frequently strike out. I came into today for a very special offer of a «pamper party”– mini facial, hand rub, neck and shoulder rub. My facial was fun and I was excited to try the products! After a quick interview, they knew exactly what would help on my face and they set to work. After the cleanser, toner and mask my face felt fantastic! The pure-fume is very strong, so just a little spritz will do. The fragrances are very nice and not gaudy. The makeup was not for me, but I am very used to their sister company MAC. I had a fabulous time being pampered, and am looking forward to deciding which products to add to my routine! Kate and Nancy were so wonderfully helpful and nice! Thank you both for such a wonderful experience!

Aveda is a great company, and I used to go to their salons all the time to get my hair cut in Minneapolis(where they are based). So, I was very happy to find this store where I can get all of their great products here in Massachusetts. A couple of things were very nice about this store. The clerk offered me tea when I walked in, and we got in a conversation about the product I was looking for. She then offered me tea again… nice of them to offer twice, considering the tea was free. I also appreciated that the clerk really knew a lot about the products. She pointed me towards a new anti-dandruff shampoo that works much better than my old Head n’Shoulders, and makes my hair look nicer. She also offers yoga classes in Natick, and it was nice to see the clerk being so involved in the store’s healthy living philosophy. Unfortunately I live far from the Natick mall now or I would definitely visit again!

Everyone knows Aveda, their concept, their philosophy, so I won’t get too into that. Two things made me really happy when I went to the Aveda store last night at the Natick Mall. 1) They are now the only cosmetics company that has plants powered 100% by wind generated electricity. That’s pretty awesome. 2) When I purchased something, the salesgirl asked me –first– if I wanted to put the purchase in my courier bag. Generally when I shop, I have my bag on me, and I try to put as much stuff in it as I can because I hate creating more waste. Lots of shops get pissy with me when I say I don’t want a bag, because obviously walking around with a big advertisement in your hands makes them look good, or possibly more desirable. So the fact that @ Aveda their first inclination is to get the consumer to reduce waste is awesome. Plus you save 10 cents, which is neat.
