Fun environment, not very busy on weekdays, drinks weren’t too expensive. Somewhat small inside, but it suited the atmosphere.

I don’t have anything badd to say about this place! Drinks were reasonable, atmosphere was cool. Yes its small and yes the stage is small and yes there isn’t much room for dancing… SO! its a place to just have a few drinks with a not so big crowd, maybe sing a couple a tunes and then roll out to your designated spot. I like that small crowd feel soooo YEA I’M A FAN!

Such a random find on a drunk walk home from CMA fest nightly concerts. As soon as we walked into this hole in the wall I immediately didn’t want to leave. Very welcoming crowd, reasonably priced drinks, and clean. So fun we went back a few days later, even though there were so many other options! Wasn’t overly packed either time, both times with a mellow yet super fun crowd.

I’ve worked in the bar industry for 12 yrs and worked karaōke for the last 2, so I know how it all works and I’m very respectful and understanding when it comes to the business and those who work in it. But this was the by far the worst experience I have ever had. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a bar and karaōke staff in my life. First off if you tip the KJ money she’ll move you up to sing and skip those who’ve been waiting for hrs. Although I think this is unfair, I get it. Everybody runs their place differently, but they should at least let you know this when you sign up and make that announcement throughout the night. Second, after I was told I would be 7th to sing and went to check after 10 ppl had went, I was told that if you leave you get taken out of the rotation. Once again, that’s def understandable. But I never left or said that I was leaving, even thou she rudely told me I did. I was upset about it, but never made it known just asked to be put back in and she told me I was 5th to sing. I politely went back to my table and kept count of each singer. On what was supposed to be my turn, she called up a guy named Chris who sang my song and as he finishes she says«thank you Cheryl» I went up and told her she had said my name and that he had just sang my song. She harshly tells me he turned it in before me and he tipped her, so he got to sing. I didn’t argue, only asked when it would be my turn then. She told me 3rd, so I told her to take me off the rotation b/c we would miss our shuttle. She became extremely snappy and rude, but told me she would put me next, only to make an announcement saying«just so you know guys, if you leave you will be taken out of the rotation and have to put yourself back in to sing» before I came up. The icing on the cake was the enormous$ 80 bill I had when I know I didn’t have that much to drink and they wouldn’t even give me a to go box or a bag for my food. I know I’m from out of town, but the way I was treated was so undeserving and truly ruined my Nashville experience.

Out of of all the karaōke bars in Nashville, I would put this in the top five. They have a great selection of music. There downfall is they allow the KJ’s to pander for tips or «tip for skip» as it’s called. You drop in a $ 20 and you can skip the line over and over and over. The upside, the KJ’s usually are very talented and know how to work the crowd. If they would disband smoking, it would be a four star place by far. Good place overall.

I thought I found a new«watering hole» Jessica!!! Your awesome! you were out of town last weekend and a guy was doing your job.(Running Karaōke) there was a couple sitting at our table really upset because they paid 20 bucks to get«bumped up» on the list,(It didn’t happen!!) Then they were CHARGED!!! another twenty, she finally got called, and they left vowing never to come back! I wish you would have been working! I know you can except tips, but… what about the people that cant afford 40 dollars to sing one song? I know downtown is expensive 4.50 for a beer + 1.00 tip(that‘s what I tip, and I have NO idea how much your mixed drinks are) We ended up at the Wild Beaver Karaōke bar, where they passed around a tip jar!!! and had it on the stage !! for easy access! We thought we discovered Nashvilles best kept secret, we loved it, but we will be taking our out of town guests somewhere else, unless that policy is changed, this comment isn’t done with malice or anger! «I don’t even sing» I was just so sadly disappointed… Chip Michaels(CEO of Entertainment and Attractions)

Despite having to walk upstairs in a rather old and decrepit building with holes in the wall, the bar is dark and has a good vibe to it. Unlike the décor on the way up, there were no ax murderers or serial killers waiting to make you a victim, at least none that were interested in me. However, what we did find were a lot of enthusiastic people. Most of them seemed rather drunk, but what do you expect when you order a bourbon and coke that tasted like she only added the coke for a little extra color? The drinks are small, which might be why they are potent. Jessica was a DJ of the night. She’s a mighty talented young woman that is also very kind. There were enthusiastic singers that seemed to have a desire to moonlight as potential dancers as well, a very ambitious feat on the small stage, but impressive. But everyone there was friendly. It was like going to a small town bar on a Friday night. It was a very good time. We spent a lot of time laughing. And when I had my time to shine in the spotlight everyone was extremely encouraging and complimentary. Who doesn’t like that kind of thing where people are friendly and supportive? This is definitely a place I would go again.

Best karaōke bar in Nashville! Karaōke starts at 7p and goes into the weee hours of the morning. The Door Man is awesome! The bar tenders/karaōke djs are awesome! If I lived in Nashville, this would be my karaōke home!!! My husband and I had a blast!!!

Went there a few times and the bar is okay but the barback kicked us out twice! Once because someone tripped me and I fell and another time because he just said I had to go. He has a long beard and is power tripping. I came to Nashville to visit but this guy was unreal. Ruined my night twice. Good bar but TERRIBLEHELP. The guy needs to go. Total tool. I won’t recommend it until he is gone. I had 3 beers! He also works at the wheel.

This is bar-none my favorite karaōke bar in Nashville. It gets really busy on Fridays and Saturdays, but my advice is to not go expecting to get a song in immediately, but to instead come to enjoy the company of a bunch of drunken strangers who will likely become your friends before the night is over. The KJs are awesome, especially Jessica and Amanda. They’re both SUPER friendly and amazing singers. Yes, you do have the option of tipping to skip, but keep in mind that the amount ahead in the queue you get bumped is directly proportional to how much you tipped and how busy the place is. This is my go-to spot for karaōke, especially during the week, because you get the opportunity to really see how cool the staff is, and you get to hang out with really interesting people.

Great place for the most part. 75% out of 100%. Only complaint is karaōke host sings more often than the paying customer. When a customer is spending their time & money, that customer is more important than the person«running the show»

Really good vibe here. Everybody loves karaōke and it shows. Karaōke is like my heroin. One song is as good as a hit but afterwards I want more. When I see people enjoying karaōke as much as me I can’t begrudge them for me having to wait a little while longer. That part’s all good. The place gets busy. It’s Nashville and everyone wants to be a star. To get up quicker you can tip the karaōke jockey/hostess who is nice and has a cracking voice. I’m confused by the tipping system here — I’ve always presumed that you tip when you get good service, not to get good service or any. I understand that people who play in bands and host events earn from tips. Everyone’s got to make a living. You should tip. Tipping at karaōke is not something I’m used to. Hey-ho. Clientele are friendly — at least when I went there. Bang on Central Broadway. Drinks are reasonably priced. Check it out but remember, there are other K-Bars in Nashville so if you’re getting the itch…

Came here as the last stop on my bachelorette, and man did we have fun! It wasn’t very crowded, which was awesome because everywhere downtown was slammed and uncomfortable. We put songs in and they never got to us, but that was ok because the other people there were entertainment enough. Many of them could actually sing. Some absolutely could not. There was lots of dancing, harassing the singers with a blow up penis doll, and people buying us drinks. It doesn’t get much better than that, in my opinion. It’s smoky, which sucks, but everywhere downtown is, so that’s par for the course I guess. Overall, I loved it!!!

As a local and a regular, I can tell you that this is by far the best karaōke bar in downtown Nashville. Actually, if I’m going to Broadway at all, I’m going here and here only. The staff is awesome, the crowd is a little older, and it’s never overly packed because of the upstairs location. Also, if you’re there on Friday or Saturday nights, you’ll get to meet Jessica — the karaōke host — and the best unsigned talent in Nashville!

I’m torn about Troubadours. Some nights are a great time, others not so much. First of all, they don’t have a very large bar, and only have one bartender serving on Friday and Saturday nights. Wait time for a drink is CRAZY at times. A couple members of my party would disappear for 30 minutes trying to get acknowledged and/or cashed out. Up your bar staff Troubadours. Please. Second issue, I have mixed experiences with the karaōke girl. I understand that they work for tips and won’t bump you up unless you have put in money, but all I ask is that you keep the normal rotation between. I have been here on nights where her friends sing multiple times in an hour and my group isn’t called at all and we’ve put in our name at least an hour in advance. One particularly frustrating night, she sang a duet with her friend twice within a 30 minute period ANDITWASTHESAMESONG. Absolutely ridiculous. I will give her props for my experience recently. We came with a big group pretty early on Saturday. My friend tipped her 20 bucks and asked that we get priority in our group, and she followed through. Some member from our group(different members, the same person didn’t get up over and over at least!) sang about every 5 songs, and I thought that was great. I’ll come back here, I have fun and the good times have outweighed the bad so far!

Didn’t even step foot in this place but they are most definitely getting 1 star from me. The guy working the door, who is allegedly the manager as well, wouldn’t let my boyfriend in because there was a tiny chip out of the corner of his COMPLETELYVALID driver’s license. He claimed he would get in trouble if he let him in and that there was a security camera watching. Bullshit. We looked. No camera. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t let him in because of the color of his skin. Funny how every other bar we went to downtown the same night had no issues with the license. I guess Troubadours doesn’t really care about their business because if they had let him in then there would have been 2 more people(him + myself) in their establishment spending money. Instead they actually lost 2 additional patrons because they left to come hang out with us elsewhere. Bad move Troubadours. We won’t be back.

I love karaōke. Swing dancing and karaōke are my two favorite nightlife activities. So you can trust me when I say that this is my favorite karaōke bar in Nashville. Wanna B’s is a close runner-up. I prefer the location of this one though. While Wanna B’s may have a wider selection of songs, it’s also more crowded, which means it takes longer to get your request in. Troubadors’ location is really nice too, as it’s on the main strip on Broadway, but it’s a bit hidden, so it gets a decent crowd on weekends, but it’s not insane. This place is also right next door to a great cigar bar, so you can buy a cigar there and bring it into Troubadors along with a glass of wine while waiting on your song. It’s a very laid back atmosphere and a nice place to get away from the overhyped atmosphere of may of the other downtown nightlife venues.

I am still wondering why I’ve never ventured to Troubadours before. My bad. This place is up the stairs right beside the Wheel. The door guys are at the top of the stairs so have your ID handy. Then you see a stage beside a long bar, and bunches of tables all around in front of the bar and stage. People are drunk and screaming along to the karaōke greatness. The songs are literally blaring so it is really easy to get into it. You may get so into it that you dance in front of the stage — room is provided for this purpose. You will definitely end up talking to your drunk neighbors. Also, don’t miss the 80s videos that are playing in a loop on the TV above the stage. I don’t know if they change this out but the loop I saw included an EPICKISS video with them in super 80s colorful garb and big hair, a Rick Springfield classic, and that Billy Squier video with the tank top. You know the one. It was lovely. The entire place was drunken, smoky, divey, and PERFECT. I want to come back again and definitely will next time I’m downtown. Great respite from the typical honky tonk places!

Started off with a beer at the bar, and remarkably easy karaōke bar to hang out at. I just had a bottle, I believe they serve cocktails to your taste. You will hear karaōke,(sound choice), and remarkably engaging and decent singing when I was there. Normally I like the freedom to leave the room, if I can’t stand the song, or the voice. However, this is like a long room broken up into two sections by the karaōke stage, and makeshift dance floor in front of it. I like that it was pretty dark, and lots of people drinking and enjoying singing for how ever many hours. You may tip to sing right away, or get on the list. I heard good songs ranging from classic rock, metal, and of course country. come as you are and sing your heart out. I didn’t see a waitress, so you’ll have to bring your approachability attitude and step up to the bar, which if you’re willing to sing in front of strangers, is surely ok for you. Come as a group, and dance and scream while you feel like a rockstar. Or be adventurous and meet some friendly people. Birds of a feather flock together, If your preference is connecting with auditory people, you’ll find friends here.
