Had a really great time, got to sing 1 song and enjoy the rest of night with hubby. The drink prices were a little high for size of plastic cup, but still good

WannaB’s! Yea! So, every bar and restaurant on the strip(Broadway) in Nashville has live music. Every single place. It’s a town chalked full of aspiring musicians — some of them pretty decent, others… meh. Oddly, some of the best singers I heard on my visit to Nashville were to be found at the one place where the singers were the patrons. Tourists, business men & women alike, all throwing down their best efforts on their favorite songs. Particularly impressed by the gal behind the bar, who OWNED a country song while still cracking beers and closing tabs. Serious multitasking.

If you are visiting downtown, put this bar on the list. Very fun karaōke bar. A lot of talent hits the stage, with a few funny drunks in between. Big bar with easy access to drink service all night. Highly recommend even for just an hour or two. They served pizza by the slice hear as well and it was actually really good. Only downfall to my experience was a drunk guy grabbing woman trying to sing on stage. Security choked him out in front of everyone and then they took him in the back to god knows where.

Worst bar service ever. Was totally ignored here. Life is too short to spend in dumps like this.

Cheap drinks but serves its purpose for karaōke for the brave and drunk. Wait was a little long to sing, but the crowd is supportive regurgless if you’re good or bad and song choice.

I’ve agreed to elaborate on this review after the owner messaged me saying I *must* be mistaken: However, those two stars up there, they are still for the bartenders ONLY. Otherwise this place sucked with JayJay as their karaōke DJ. He is still a crook, and the one thing the owner neglects to address is the fact that I paid this KJ $ 10 to move up in line and it didn’t work. He swears up and down that favoritism wasn’t a factor, but I can only go by the experience we had. The same people going over and over and over and over… and over again, as evidenced by the precious video cited. Yess, we did finally sing AFTER I paid him off and waited even longer only to watch the same people go up again. Why did I not leave? Why did I sing anyway? Because I would have felt guilty making my friends wait so long without salvaging the last shred of fun left here, also I would’ve been extremely angry if I lost $ 10 for nothing. We sang out of principle and spite. No matter what is claimed by the business owner, the fact remains that we had a terrible time. I was in Nashville for 5 days and this was the only establishment that did not measure up to the rest in terms of customer service and quality. If you read through their reviews, this is obviously not an isolated case. It wouldn’t be fair to the other places if I up’d their rating based on what the owner’s reaction was, and not based on our experience. Other places earn their stars without bias, and that’s how it should be. Next time I’m in Nashville, I will give it another shot out of principle but I will not bribe the KJ again just to sing. I will wear the shortest shorts I can find and see if that works.

This is a fun place if you like to sing Karoke or just watch other people sing. They a stage thats elevated so you can see the person singing no matter where you are in the club, Plenty of places to sit and have a drink

visited during live music and the place was slow at first. ya know what they say though — find a band and a bartender that you like and stay — we did! Tara was an awesome bartender and the band was super enthusiastic and fun! stayed for hours before venturing next door shortly after our bartender did… fantastic time!

Rudest bartender I have ever met. Honestly this is the first review I have ever written and it is only bc of how awful the staff was to us. From the bartender to the condescending DJ. Do NOT go here.

This place started off cool until the overachiever muscle head bounce came up to me and asked for my ID. They checked my ID at the door and we had been there for at least 20 mins when he came up to our group. Of the 3 of us, he only asked me, after looking me up and down. I thought he was joking because we had to show it to get in the door. I asked him to see a manager and when the manger finally came, he was a jerk and really didn’t care. The door man was too busy tryna talk to some chick to do his job. They need people who actually gonna do their job and not these losers. If you come here be prepared to show your ID several times. The karaōke part was cool and drinks were decent but the people working here outside the bartenders are horrible.

*EDIT: changed from 1 star to 2, because the manager reached out to me about my experience. Now I am changing to 4 stars, because I gave this place another shot and had a really good time. I could tell that they have really worked on improving things in the last few months. Went with a group recently. Two of us signed up to sing, and despite it being a packed Saturday night, we were still able to sing in under an hour(In the past, we had issues with wait time and D.J. favoritism). There were a good variety of songs, as well as talent and entertainment. Also, the D.J. was really nice. I will definitely go back. I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars, because I wish they had better beer selection. However, their beer selection is typical for Broadway bars.

Well, you put your name on the lit and you see there’s 15 in front of you, so you wait, watch and sing along with others. However, when you check back after 10 – 12 songs, you find out you’re only 8songs away? Whatever, we’ll wait it out. Then another 5 go by and you inquire again, to be told you’re 5 songs away, and get this: «ask again and you won’t sing at all». After we dropped $ 200 bucks in here, I left a poultry tip for the wait staff and suggested they get the rest from the rude kaoroke person and we left. I’m sure there are other places that know math, and understand customer service better than this place.

If you want to sing this is the place to be! I’ve been to Nashville many many times and I always always chose wannabes as my go to spot for Karaōke. The staff is friendly the song selection is incredible and it’s usually not too terribly crowded. Channel your inner country star and head on down to wannabes you’ll be glad you did!

We were in search of a bar to watch some football so we scooted inside. We realized after we sat down at the bar that we didn’t know the name of the bar nor did we realize it is a karaōke bar. The female bartender was kind enough to turn on the game we wanted to watch so that was cool. We ended up staying and watching some karaōke which was wildly entertaining. This place I connected to Tequila Cowboy which, if you are looking for a huge bar with a good live music experience, that is the place to be!

I am not sure what possessed by my friend and I to come in here since there were a total of 5 people in the place when we passed by it. I think it was the lure of the karaōke, which my friend loves. So we stayed here for about an hour and it never got anymore crowded. The cheap drinks were the main reason I stayed even though drinks were cheap pretty much everywhere else as well. I’m fully convinced that you can’t be from Nashville and not have a good singing voice. Granted we only saw a handful of people perform but they were all great! My friend and I were the only ones who ruined it. But whatever. This place may be more fun when it’s crowded but I had a decent time drinking beer and singing bad karaōke.

So in all honesty the memory of my Wanna B’s visit is hazy thanks to liberal doses of vodka sodas but I’m pretty sure it was fun. We walked in and got drinks first off. Apparently why my memory is hazy. We easily got a table because it was fairly dead early on Saturday night. So we went up to the DJ/KJ booth and put in some songs. And tipped since clearly that’s how you are going to get your song up there. I sang a couple of songs and then let others entertain me since it started to get more and more busy. The stage is way elevated sooo be careful when you are up there if you’ve had one too many. But it is the perfect elevation for making sure every single person in there sees you as you belt out your song. Bonus! I prefer karaōke in divey bars where anything goes and no one is there trying to be «discovered» by some record exec who turns out to be a producer of cheap pornos. I like my karaōke like my boys… bad and a bit dirty. So Wanna B’s was ok but will probably stick to the dives in the future.
