I’m one of those olé Predators fans that is missing the olé sports bar that used to be in this spot… But, was pleasantly surprised that it was actually pretty good Italian food. However, just not a good primer to the game. I plan on trying it again in the off season for a quiet dinner and glass of wine.

Interesting Italian! I really enjoy this kitchen, they always have some classic Italian dish with a twist that makes me curious, and so far I have never been disappointed. This is definitely a good choice for more intimate dinners or business meetings. The noise level is not too bad at all and you are placed far enough away from your table neighbors to feel free to carry on whatever kind of conversation. I am so enthusiastic over their in house«home made» Mozzarella, it is absolutely fantastic. Sharing it on two gives you a lot! Almost too much, but you will have problem to stop eating it because it is so delicious… The place is just across from Bridgestone Arena so it’s super convenient if your heading for a concert or a hockey game. I had nothing but absolutely excellent service here, their staff has always been very knowledgable and can really help you pick something that will make your taste buds happy!

Fantastic pre fixe lunch today. Started with the tomato salad. The main course was the fish of the day-halibut-and ended with a delicious limoncello tiramisu. All this for $ 24. It is at the Hilton hotel.

Service was good, but we were very disappointed overall. The wine pour was skimpy, and amounted to little more than two sips. When the bread tray was presented, we were told to select«1 piece» each. Really? at an expensive, supposedly upscale restaurant? I ordered rigatoni, but wanted it with a meatball or maybe some Italian sausage. The only way to get that was to also order the meatball appetizer, which we did. My wife’s angel hair pasta was covered in black pepper, so much so that she ate only a couple of bites of it. Overall, what should have been a mid-week treat turned into a regretful«shoulda» gone to Amerigos or Valentinos instead. Lesson learned, and it only cost $ 125.

This is an Italian restaurant across the street from Bridgestone arena. The restaurant is swank and a wonderful place for a special celebration or just to treat yourself. Upon entering, the ambience is low light and romantic. The hostess was very nice and seated us immediately. She then took my jacket and held my seat out for me… I was impressed. Then the server used our name when handing us the menus. The fact that our reservation name was passed on to the server for personalization of service was over the top and awesome! To start off I ordered a Bellini and my husband ordered an old fashioned. Both were excellent. For entrees, we ordered lobster and mushroom over pasta and a Mediterranean Red Snapper. Both were delicious, but the lobster dish was amazing! To finish we ordered gelato. They were so nice and gave it to us since it was our anniversary! How sweet?!

Very nice restaurant. If you want to go on a fancy dinner with your partner, this is the place to go. Or you can bring the family and dress down. Some people were dressed up and others brought their kids dressed in jeans. We ordered the portticini ravioli, a Ceasar salad, mussels, and the meatball pizza. The ravioli was tasty however, a very strong mushroom taste. The Ceasar salad tasted great. The mussels in oil and garlic were very good and refreshing. The meatball pizza was unfortunately VERY bland. The crust was cooked perfect but because they use ricotta on this pizza, it makes it very bland. I’ve posted our pictures. I would recommend this restaurant. The service was good as well.

While on business on a busy Friday night a few of us co-workers struggled to find a place to eat that didn’t come with an hour+ wait to be seated. Also, we were trying to steer clear from the crowds and sounds of Broadway. After several attempts elsewhere, we landed here… at an Italian restaurant in Nashville. I was honestly no excited to eat here initially… how could it be? But I was quickly proven wrong. Right from the start the service was on point! Although there were several folks standing around the hostess station, she made sure to make eye contact with us and verbally acknowledge us. While waiting our turn to be seated by the pleasant hostess I notice the warm wooden décor and the warm hue and ambiance the lighting offered. Also, this establishment offered a spacious floor plan. I also liked that you can see into the kithen from certain parts on the restaurant and watch the cooks work their magic. I took note of the Bellini on the menu and went ahead and ordered one. It was different than all the other Bellini’s I’ve ordered over the years. I am used to a more blended ice verison. This was simply the champagne and peach pure’ served in a champagne glass. Now worries… I enjoyed it. Just noting the difference. For dinner I had the Shrimp Franchises and split a side of Capellini aglio e olio with Kelly. The shrimps were amazing. Perfectly cooked and presented on the plate on a bed of veggies! Mmmmm. Unfortunately the amount of garlic in the aglio e olio was over powering. I always order my pasta this way, but this was the first I struggled with the abundance of garlic. We shared a few desserts. I was interested to try the Bianco e nero: this was Italian ice creams, walnuts, homemade gianduja sauce(hazelnut), biscotti crumbs, espresso zabaglione, caramel. It was quite large and the waiter was right, the hazelnut sauce was delish! I was not thoroughly impressed with the pistachio ice cream. I love me some pistachio ice cream… but It was lacking ion flavor. I was hesitant to join in with the Limoncello Tiramisu. I really dislike lemon flavors in my sweets. Turns out, you don’t taste the lemon in the cream. So, I made out like a bandit when it came to finishing off the top of that dessert. I made way to their restroom. Nice and clean. A basket of newly laundered hand towel to dry your hands. On the way out I noticed this restaurant was connected to another hotel. Quiet convenient location! Overall, I am sorry I doubted Italian Food in Nashville. This restaurant has got it going on! You wont be disappointed in the food or service!

Came here with a few people from work, and from the moment we walked in the service was remarkable. As soon as you walk in the door you are are greeted with a birds eye view of the restaurant, from the top of a staircase. Lots of room from the door to the hostess stand, more comfortable then jamming everyone by the door. They hostess made sure to acknowledge us even though she was taking another group to their table. She was so nice and personable it felt like we knew her for years. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, everyone here is so pleasant and happy. The entire décor is beautiful, from the open use of space, wooden tables and the lights. Immediately after we were seated, we were poured water(they make sure to constantly refill your water during your entire visit) and placed our drink order. I had a disaronno on the rocks(i love that they put cherries in it) I really enjoyed that instead of putting down a basket of bread, they ask you what you want and serve you directly. I preferred the garlic bread. Our waiter was so professional and knowledgeable, He answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations not only on food choices but also on other places we need to try. He has been here since the opening. For dinner I had the shrimp franchises with a side of capellini pasta(i asked for it cooked in olive oil and garlic instead of the pesto) They were very accommodating. The presentation was perfect. I could definitely see the pride they have in their work and the food was so delicious. I was so glad our waiter had us split the pasta, because there was so much. We shared a few desserts, the Limoncello Tiramisu, sweet taste of lemon but off set with the creamy cool filling. Also the bianco e nero, this was Italian ice cream, walnuts, gianduja sauce, biscotti crumbs, espresso zabaglione, carame. Very good, to much for one person to enjoy! My group departed happy and full, we need the walk back to the hotel.

We live in the Nashville area and figured we would try this place since it looks nice from the outside. We also thought it would be a safe choice because it had 4 stars on Unilocal.I went for my birthday dinner with my fiancé’. I ordered a pineapple upside down martini. It was very good. We both ordered Caesar salads to start and ravioli for the main course. 2 waitresses came around at the same time one gave us grated cheese, the other cracked pepper. The salads were blannnnd. Meaning you couldn‘t taste the dressing. It was like wet lettuce with something on it, but you couldnt quite find the dressing or figure out what it was. I did not taste my dressing until it was almost finished. The salad was a good size. It was not good for $ 9.00. It tasted like a salad from Applebee’s or somewhere, yuck. After we got our salads a waitress came around with a big basket of assorted bread. She told us we each cam choose 1, the pieces were so small. The main course was the ravioli with cheese filling. It was ok but not for almost $ 20.00. I think there were 7 or 8 on the plate. Overall I would not recommend this place. It’s over priced because of its downtown location. I rated this place 2 stars because of the food. The service was great everyone was very nice and professional. If you are looking for real Italian food this is not the place. The atmosphere is nice and their seating area outside looks nice buuuuut that’s about it. Very disappointed.

What a huge disappointment! We went for an early dinner before a Predator game because friends recommended it. Had a house salad($ 11) that had old lettuce and overly dressed so it was a wet mess. Then tried the prosciutto and arugula pizza that was so dry it was like eating saltine crackers. Worse these were recommendations by our waiter. Needless to say, we did not stay for dessert!

We thought we would try a new place to dine, after all the one in Orlando was ok. Not the best Italian in Nashville that’s for certain. We had clam linguine — 4 small clams on top of a pile of spaghetti swimming in oil and water with no flavor, not even garlic and veal parm — taste more of the bread crumbs than anything. Highly recommend if you are looking for awesome Italian food and at a reasonable price do not go here but rather go to Café Nona, it is outstanding!

Very nice, fancy interior. I highly suggest making a reservation. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. I ordered the burrata as an appetizer which I enjoyed! I thought the watermelon provided an interesting contrast. I also like how the balsamic reduction gave it a savory taste! For my entrée, I got the chef’s special, which was grouper with lobster ravioli in a cream sauce. It also came with julienne vegetables. I really enjoyed it, and would recommend to any seafood lovers!

Wow! 4 of us went here for NYE and it was fabulous! Our waiter was from Milan and full of great energy and suggestions. The décor is sexy and a breath of fresh air considering most of Nashville is reclaimed wood and filament lighting! Food was delicious, atmosphere to die for and the wine was scrumptious. We will be back!

My fiancé and I ate dinner here after he proposed. We were celebrating New Years, my 30th birthday and our engagement. He had made reservations several weeks in advance and he chose a great restaurant, I must say! We walked in from the hotel side of the restaurant and were grabbed by a staff member and taken to the hostess stand, as we obviously came in thru the back. He was very nice and polite. We were 20 minutes early and the hostess seated us right away. We were greeted immediately by our server and sommelier who both went over the menu with us. As I said it was NYE, so the menu was a set four coarse dinner. I had the buffalo mozzarella, mushroom ravioli, filet, and Italian dessert trio. The fiancé chose the shrimp cocktail, mushroom ravioli, veal, and desert trio. We also did the wine pairing recommended by the sommelier, which was excellent. All of the wines complemented the food in harmony. As for the food, I thought my buffalo mozzarella was amazing. I was expecting the shrimp cocktail to be better, but it was not. Don’t get me wrong, the cocktail was very good. The cocktail sauce was amazing, but the mozzarella was just better. It was very fresh, served with orange and red tomato slices, with balsamic, and some sort of yummy tomato garnish. The mushroom ravioli was probably our favorite part of the meal. Delicious mushroom ravioli so in a creamy porcini mushroom sauce. It was to die for! I don’t eat veal, so I didn’t taste it but my fiancé said it was delicious. It looked amazing and was served with fingerling potatoes. I ordered my filet to be cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly! It was the most tender and juicy filet I’ve ever had. I’ve never had a filet that I could cut with a fork(and I always order filets), but this steak, I was definitely able to cut with a fork. It was without a doubt the best steak I’ve ever eaten. It knocked my favorite steakhouse in College Station, TX down to my number 2. It was served over a bed of greens with a yummy sauce and fried onions on top. I could have done without the fried onions. I prefer sautéed. So everything was really amazing, delicious, fresh food, top notch service, and excellent wine pairing. Why am I only giving this restaurant four stars and not five? The dessert! It was terrible! I expected an amazing tiramisu or something in a Classic Italian dessert trio! We are big dessert people and after everything else was so yummy, I had really high expectations for dessert. It was like the entire meal was amazing, but the dessert was an after thought when they planned this. The first dessert was a dry crumbly bland cake. I don’t know what kind of traditional Italian dessert it was, but I never want it again, hardly edible. The second was a chocolate mousse in a dark chocolate shell. It was the only decent dessert. Last, was a bread pudding with large chunks of grapes. It was edible, but not very palate pleasing. I don’t know how any of those desserts were even traditional Italian. We’ve been to many fine dinning Italian restaurants because it’s our favorite, and I’ve never had anything like these desserts. We finished the dinner off with a champagne toast, which was perfect for NYE and all that we were celebrating. All in all, I loved this restaurant. I recommend it and I will be back when in Nashville. However, I definitely want to try something else for dessert. Hopefully, there was a new pastry chef in the house or some sort of mishap that night.

Disappointed is the nicest thing I can think of… Poor service! Had 4 «glasses» of wine that in a normal upscale like Palm or Mortons would have been 2 at best. Love good wine and my wife and I had a great 1st glass(we were sitting at the bar) we got a second glass, I literally poured my glass into my wife’s and combined made it to the halfway point in her glass! Food was marginal, wouldn’t go back, The Southern at 3rd and Demonbreun is by far the best place in Downtown Nashville if you want great bartenders and great food…

What amazing hospitality. From the front desk to the service team, everyone was extremely engaging and friendly. Food selection is broad but defined. Eggplant tapenade with the bread selections is so unique. We sampled many appetizers and entrees. Wonderful on every course. Don’t miss the tiramisu with a tart lemony twist on a classic. We dropped in before a Predators game and felt just as comfortable in jeans and sweatshirts as those in dresses or ties. Just awesome!

I’ve never been in this chain restaurant before, but I was impressed overall. Namely, I enjoyed seeing some old, old dishes from my youth. Which is pretty neat, since most of the restaurants in town are farm to table and serve the same food items. I was impressed to see Snapper Meuniere and Salmon Oreganata on the menu. Also Veal Piccata. old recipes from days when food was really food! The menu is ala cart and so you only pay for what you wish to eat. I’m good with that. I was satisfied with the idea that there wasn’t going to be a bunch of filler on my plate and very little protein. That always annoys me. Why would ANYONE pay $ 42 for a dish that has 8 oz of starch and vegetables, when you are really after the protein? With that, friend got the shrimp francese, another friend and I got the Veal Piccata and another friend got the lunch«prefix» menu. We were all satisfied with our choices. They brought a platter of bread with different kinds of bread on the platter… then they pour a little oil and balsamic vinegar on a dish for your dipping pleasure. The broccoli rabe was amazingly good and reminded me of my childhood in New Haven, CT… Escarole and broccoli rabe are usually the sides to dishes in Italian restaurants in the NE and being able to order the rabe was just… orgasmic. real greens, not a purée with a few dots on my plate… it was a dish of good, yummy, wilted greens. with roasted garlic. Delicious!!! Oh, how I miss the menus of long ago. Real food, food you can identify. Not dots and swirls of pureed vegetables on the plate. I would definitely come back to this restaurant and I would definitely bring my friends with me. We did not partake on any alcohol so I can’t tell you if prices were decent or if the menu was decent. We did not order dessert because our portions were ample and we were very satisfied with our choices. Waitstaff… if the place isn’t real busy, they are circling, near by. watching you, ready to grab your plate. Bread was replenished, along with the oil and vinegar dipping. All in all, a good experience and we ate here Christmas day. Wasn’t crowded, wasn’t noisy, and they valet parked us. Good place for a party, large groups, a date, a meal at the bar. Nice ambience.

Late lunch stop on a Friday for us. Gorgeous interiors with nice seating areas. An open air kitchen lets you see the culinary team working on your cuisine. They have a great lunch prix fixe menu where you can get an app and entrée or entrée and dessert for $ 19. They also offer a 3-course prix fixe. First course enjoyed the Trattoria Salad — amazingly fresh with lots of great ingredients. Finished with the Pizza Margherita. Delicious and topped with basil and a little splash of fruity olive oil. Great service to top off the meal.

So disappointed by my recent dining experience here. I went here last Saturday night with two girlfriends.(My last visit was about eight months ago with another couple and we had one of my best dining experiences in Nashville. The service was top-notch and the attention to detail was impressive. The food was outstanding.) we get together about once a month and I selected this restaurant based upon my wonderful experience several months ago. A quick summary of my recent visit last weekend: The hostess forgot to tell the waiter that we were seated and it took 10 minutes before we got menus or water, which we had asked for. The restaurant was only partially full, but it did seem like the waitstaff was stretch then. We had two servers helping our table, one of whom was rude several times during the evening and had to ask us to clarify our orders three times because she refused to write anything down. We had to ask for bread and one of my girlfriends had to send her salad back because it was so salty she couldn’t eat it. They were polite and offered to bring her another one without dressing, but by that time the entrées were served. The entrées were good, but not great. My girlfriend got the squid ink pasta and only ate about half of it. She said the texture was just not very good. I got the lobster pasta and I actually thought it was pretty good, but it was only lukewarm when I received it. Another girlfriend got the mushroom pasta and I have to say it was absolutely fabulous.(I was sorry that I got the lobster pasta and wished I had ordered the mushroom pasta.) For the price point, and based upon my prior experience dining here, I simply expected more. Finally, around 9 o’clock our side of the restaurant simply stopped functioning. Around 930 I had to get up and go ask the waiter for water. It seems like they wanted us to leave, but there were certainly many other people in the restaurant and it was only 930! My hope is that the restaurant was simply having a bad night. With so many great choices in Nashville, I’m not sure I will be going back.

This is hands down the best Italian food that I have had in my entire life and really proof that you can have elevated Italian food(even though many«foodies» and snobs argue against) So let us do the breakdown: Upon entering, the ambiance and décor is very nice and inviting w/o being pretentious with tables separated enough that it can be very busy but not overly loud.(5⁄5) Our server greeted us and gave the specials and suggestions on appetizers/wine(5⁄5). For drinks, we ordered a couple of glasses of wine that were suggested that tasted amazing and was very reasonably priced(Pinot Grigio, can’t rememeber the maker). We also got the eggplant Parmesan which was out of this world amazing.(5⁄5) Next, we ordered our mains(Gnocchi in bolognese w/bechemal sauce and Capellini w/Chicken in pesto). It is really hard to believe how much flavor and tasted they packed into a perfectly textured meal. I love Italian food and have never had it cooked to such perfection. Our server was very friendly, quick and knowledgeable and overall, this place was fantastic and will definitely be returning. Lastly, the price for what you received and the quality was very much worth it and am surprised they don’t charge more.

So, I visited this restaurant while visiting Nashville for a work-related convention. It was within walking distance from my hotel and I’m always game for Italian, so I and my 4 colleagues decided on a nice dinner for our last night in town. Overall it was good food and very nice ambiance. We split a sausage pizza as an app. I then ordered the ravioli which was okay, but nothing special. To be honest the best part of my meal was probably my shirley temple(made with extra grenadine) and Caesar salad. Yes, the Caesar salad was great(and I’m not a huge salad person, so that’s saying something). Overall: 1. Close proximity to downtown hotels, music center, and broadway 2. Reasonable prices for what you get(good service, ambiance, food quality) 3. Easy reservation 4. Plenty of seating available

My wife and I went in after a Preds game to get a glass of wine and wait for traffic to die down. My wife was«greeted» by a man with a suit and tie. The man was very rude and told my wife they were fully booked until 9:45. Mean while I had grabbed a cocktail table on the patio. My wife was so put off by the employee that she walked out of the restaurant. I saw her walking down the street and called her back into the restaurant. We had a glass of wine, paid and left. The employee was in a suit, had a plaid tie. My company had Il Mulino on our list for future business meetings(which is often) but I will remove from the list. Suprising how someone in the service industry could be so careless. By the way, there were three empty cocktail tables on the patio when we arrived.

Primarily, the food, ambiance and price doesn’t match up with the service. I blame management for sending inexperienced youngsters in to action without proper training or support. Basic questions couldn’t be answered, the sequence of serving appetizers before the main course was a ‘concept’ at best. Many other service faux pas with a big table right next to our two-top. I feel bad for the youngsters trying to learn and earn amidst such MIA management. Hats off to the chef, the food, thankfully, was good.

We had a show at Bridgestone on a Friday night. It was an hour and half before start so we needed something close. The Palms, which is next door, had a ridiculous wait(for no reservations). So we decided to go here since it didn’t look to busy. The restaurant itself had a great atmosphere and was overall a really nice restaurant. We sat outside on the patio, which was nice. We ordered the fried calamari and tuna tartare for our appetizers, both were very delicious. There was also a tasting of eggplant courtesy of the chef. it was paired with one piece of bread of your choice, which I thought that was odd. Anywho, for our entrees, we kept it simple, a couple of pizzas and the mushroom razioli. All were good, but not amazing. Especially for the cost, which was a little overpriced. But I would go again and maybe order something other than pizza, which you can get anywhere. Service was good, food and ticket took just a little bit long as it was just 4 of us. But overall, good experience.

We dined here for dinner. I would say nothing we ordered was amazing. Burrata appetizer with watermelon was different and tasted good. Octopus app was small but tasted good. We were told all of the fish on the menu was frozen. The gluten free vegan pasta was tough and the sauce was more like a broth. I am not vegan but always try to look for the healthier dish. This was just not enjoyable. The Black and white sundae was good, but again not amazing. Will not return. Prefer Giovannis.

My wife dined at iL Mullino last night for the first time as we wanted to carbo load prior to running this morning. We are also very excited to see how this New York concept compared to local powerhouses like Valentino’s, Giovanni’s, and our new favorite Moto. The meal started off very well as they had Justin Cabernet by the glass at a decent price of $ 15 so we order a couple of glass along with a ricotta meatball appetizer and salumi and cheese. The wine was good as was the meatball, but I have to say the meatball did not come close to what we expect from Moto. The salumi and cheese left a lot to be desired as I have had much better at lesser restaurants like Urban Grub, Saffire, and Adele’s. I like all of these restaurants, but expected more out of il Mullion and maybe that was a mistake. I had the gnocchi with bolognese and had to add some Italian sausage to get some extra protein and my wife had ravioli with goat cheese vodka sauce. My gnocchi was very very good and the sausage was amazing. It was extremely hot so much so that I had to wait about 4 – 5 mins before I could start and it was extremely heavy in a good way so don’t order it unless you are super hungry or want to carry a box home. The ravioli was very good, but really nothing to set it apart from any other decent vodka sauce you would get at a decent Italian restaurant. There was one thing that made the night extremely well worth the trip and moved this rating from a 3 to a 4 and that was Clayton our server. He was absolutely the best we have had ever in Nashville. Attentive. Informative. Talkative, but not overbearing. Recommendations were spot on. The food was good. Clayton was awesome, but I will be going back to Moto next time for the best meatballs in the South and a filet you can cut with a spoon.

My companion and I dined here during the early stages of opening. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience. Everything I ate was tasty and the service was great. I had the Chicken Parmigiana and it was very tasty. My companion ordered the pork chops, which is a meal that should only be ordered if you brought your appetite. We each had a couple of cocktails and they were well-crafted and had enough punch to be fantastic. My Tetrarossa was refreshing while his New Old Fashioned was solid.
