I’m done coming to this location; the wait is always 20 minutes with just one person working. There are others in the back room just giggling away and walking out to smoke but they never take customers. Location doesn’t use the super cuts computer system either so I need to explain my cut every time(rather then them looking at my profile like other locations) and the app check in is not honored because it’s not monitored!

Dawn was an absolute delight. She got my lumpy head looking normal and we laughed the whole time.

Stopped by last minute while I was in town for work. Mgr Kirsten worked me in just before close and did a fantastic job. She was very friendly and made it an enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend and will return.

First, let me start off by saying that I have extremely thick and unruly hair. It usually takes me a while before I can find someone who can handle it. Most people tell me it is the thickest hair they have ever dealt with. I should also disclose that I’m not that picky about my hair. My attitude is: it will grow back. This Supercuts is located in a rather shabby shopping center. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the only customers were men! They do indeed serve women too, so don’t be put off. I went on a federal holiday. It was pretty busy but I only ended up waiting about 20 minutes or so. I got a shampoo, deep condition, brow wax, and trim. The shampoo was $ 9, the deep condition was $ 11, the brow wax was $ 8, and I think the haircut was $ 14 but I can’t remember for sure. If you get the deep condition, make sure you have some time on your hands. I was under the dryer for approximately 20 – 30 minutes. The deep condition wasn’t worth it for me; I think the time under the dryer undid any good the conditioner might have done. The stylist did a fabulous job on my brows. Honestly, probably the best brow job I’ve ever had done. I was more satisfied with the results, it was less painful, and I didn’t break out as bad following the procedure as I normally do. The haircut, however, did not turn out that well. It is very uneven. Probably one of the worst hair cuts I have received. However, I’m not going to dump a place because one stylist there couldn’t handle my hair. Finally, the place was a little dirty. The carpet in the waiting area was stained and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The actual area where they cut hair was very clean though. Also, one of the towels she used to shampoo my hair was stained, which I was a little put off by.

So… Supercuts is definitely listed under«men’s hair salons.» Wow. That makes me feel awkward. What can I say? I like to save money. I get great haircuts from Hamilton. He used to be at the Midtown location and now he’s out in Donelson. I used to see another stylist(I think her name was Emily?) at the midtown salon who was also very good. I have long hair. I usually get it cut a little shaggy with layers. Sometimes I go crazy and get a bang. I’ve been to a lot of place and I’ve paid more. For $ 20, I get a fantastic haircut here. Hamilton really knows what he’s doing. I don’t know why anyone would pay more for a haircut. It really makes no sense at all. Some of the stylists at Supercuts have mad skills you just have to give it a try! I’m only docking a star because, one time, I did get a TERRIBLE haircut from someone else. Overall, I’ve had good experiences even when I’ve had to play«haircut roulette» and try someone else. There was one time, in particular, though it was just unforgivably bad. Luckily, Supercuts promises to «fix it» for free if you don’t like your haircut within 24 hours. I was able to track my guy down and get him to do it. Good choice. He really saved me that time. The Donelson location is where they train new people so I do recommend be wearying of that. I have heard through the grapevine that Mary also does a very nice job. There are others I’ve heard about but I can’t remember their names. Save mo’ money. Go to Supercuts!
