I finally found the perfect glasses! I’d been searching for months for a unique frame and was so happy to find this great vintage pair from Specs.
The store really fits in in East Nashville. It’s a little quirky and very dog friendly. Her dogs are super friendly once you get in the store. Susan was so helpful. She’s a little blunt but gives you an honest opinion about what fits you and is flattering. Their selection is great and, while they have some more expensive frames, I was able to find a super cute one in my budget.
I’ll definitely be back for my next pair!

I went into this shop a month or so ago and fell in love with a pair of frames, however the sticker shock was too great and I did not return until this afternoon. I had originally been told that the price of the frames included the prescription lenses, but today the sales associate (she might be the owner, but I hope not) let me know that had been a promotion. This was a bad surprise because all of the frames available are very pricey, however she impressed me by saying she could honor the original price depending on my prescription.
Unfortunately, at this point my experience began to go downhill after the sales lady made several inappropriate comments concerning the strength of my prescription and the fact that I was not wearing glasses at the moment… um, not your business lady! I laughed it off and looked around a while more, as I was beginning to feel premature «buyers remorse»…take it from someone who used to sell fine art for a living, you don’t want your customers feeling this prior to making a purchase! I settled on a pair slightly over budget and let the lady know I needed some time to think about it and that I appreciated her initial offer.
As I was trying to leave, she asked me to try on the frames that I had chosen so she could determine if they «fit my face» so I obliged. The sales lady then informed me that the pair of glasses I had chosen did not fit my face and began to have me try on other pairs that I had no interest in. After a few minutes of this charade, I darted for the door and explained that I found it strange that she would not sell me the frames that I had picked, and therefore I was not going to purchase anything from her… I guess she just expected me to hand her $ 300 so she could determine what was best for me? That’s cool, but I already have a mother thanks.
Great store if you want someone else to decide how you should dress and spend your money. Clearly this shop doesn’t need my business!

This is a great store – the best service you’ll ever get. Susan really cares about each and every customer of hers. She really cares about her profession, she’s not there just to sell you stuff. She has a great selection of glasses and you can order others from the catalogue if you want. We had a very good experience buying there, and we’ll definitely go there again next time we need a new pair of glasses.

A local treasure. The selection is eclectic but still quite wide, and the service is truly outstanding. Susan is dedicated to finding the right product for every customer, even when the solution isn’t immediately obvious. In my case, it took months, but she was unfailingly patient and resourceful all the while. She has a great deal of expertise and clearly understands the fine points of fitting frames and choosing lenses. I highly recommend Specs.

Great selection and nice people! I recommend checking this place out if you are looking for glasses in Nashville, especially if you are an east nashvillian. They can cut your lenses, hook you up with a hip new pair and if your lucky you might get to pet one of their charming resident canines.

I have searched the planet (online and every shop in Nashville/​Franklin) for frames and I have found the best place to buy mine! It is at Specs! Susan is so experienced in finding the best fitting frames for your face as well as your personality. The prices are very reasonable. I even went back and bought my sunglass frames too. Plus! they moved to East Nashville where there is plenty of parking and lots of great shopping and dining places in the same area.
