I got a bright idea during all the rainy days over the 4th of July holiday… I will paint my downstairs bathroom(powder room/laundry room)! Maybe I will do stripes! I should get some paint! Then I saw a commercial about a paint sale at Sherwin-Williams and trucked myself over there to see what they had. So I am really glad I had an idea of color and what I wanted to do… otherwise a paint store could be pretty overwhelming. I had a guy come help me immediately and I had already found the metallic paint section. He was helpful by finding me a brochure that takes you through the steps needed to do the metallic finish. Nice. Plus the paint samples had the base coat/metallic coat printed right there on the back so they could mix it up easily. Then I went to the other side of the store where they have all the supplies you need. I got some rollers and a drop cloth and painters tape and various other things I needed. I could have probably asked for some assistance with this part of it because I wasn’t sure what to buy and now, of course, I need some other items. My fault entirely. Then I got them to mix up my paint. Right about the time I was done the bottom dropped out of the sky and it was pouring… they immediately said I could linger around as long as I wanted before making a run for the car. Luckily the parking lot isn’t that big so I was able to only get half soaked. Nice quiet store, reasonably helpful staff, all the supplies you need for your paint project(that is, if you know what it is you need!).
