Love the garlicky kale as a side dish – and I’m not a kale lover! Goat cheese plate is great, too. Everything I’ve had is delish!

I came to pub five specifically to get the poutine. I was craving it and didn’t mind paying the $ 12 for parking down the street. Atmosphere and location were very nice. I ordered the poutine with lamb, wanted to try something different. They also offer the traditional beef gravy as well. The poutine was less than average: Huge bowl packed full of nicely cooked fries, tender shredded lamb but hardly any gravy until you got to the very bottom and it was very thin in consistency and the cheese«curds» are actually crumbled«mexi» cheese that don’t melt. Disappointing!

The girl at the front desk of our hotel recommended this place for its food and hand crafted cocktails. Small plates that were fantastic and awesome crafted, yet pricey cocktails. Dined in the bar area but the whole place looks great. Great location just a block of Broadway on 5th street.

We didn’t eat — but we did have drinks on the roof patio with a view of Broadway and Bridgestone Arena! Some good beers, a great-looking menu(with lots of vegetarian and vegan options), and a great view! I would definitely come back before another night out or a game at Bridgestone Arena!

Dinner for 18 coworkers from IL, TN, GA, AR, NJ — private room upstairs. Was taken care of — drinks flowing and everyone was pleased with their meal. So thankful they were able to take such a large group during holidays when only booking 3 weeks out. Warm goat cheese appetizer was Delish!

I’ve came here a few times to grab a drink and a quick bite. It’s a great little cozy place that isn’t directly off of broad(which is much of it’s appeal IMO) which has very very decently priced drinks and quick/friendly service. I can’t stress enough how the heart of downtown really has needed a place like this for a very long time as just because you find yourself in downtown Nashville, it doesn’t mean you want to go to a honkytonk, a club, or a place where crappy bear costs $ 8.

Food was decent, but service was even worse. I went out to lunch with several of my coworkers and we all placed orders. Our waitress, who seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else in the world than working, forgot to put in one of the orders. Instead of admitting the mistake, she told us the food would be out in «just a minute.» We watched her put in the order. 10 minutes later, after we had all sat there politely waiting for the last meal to arrive, we asked again, and she said«Oh they’re toasting your bun now.» 5 minutes later, her food finally arrived and we all«enjoyed» our cold meals. She never apologized for the inconvenience. Will likely never return here.

Trendy spot that kicks the Nashville norms out the window. Great location and atmosphere. Service was good and food was satisfactory. Prices were high for my taste. I had the fried chicken which was a boneless, skinless breast. Chicken was not seasoned well but the breaking was on point. Asked for extra gravy but never received it. Sweet Tea was delicious too. Not overly sugary.

Nice location on the upper deck outside. The Quinoa salad was good but the menu was pricey & drinks were light. Service was fast but not too friendly.

Stopped in on busy Friday night, sat at the bar and had great service. Nice selections of foods and beers made this a great stop for the time we had. Wish I could have tried more of the food, but the atmosphere and brew selection was suburb.

Busy Saturday night. Crowded and loud. Good service. Lamb tacos were delicious. Hot, fresh and plentiful. Tortillas were flour, I would prefer corn. Meatballs were tender and light but a little bland. More spice would have been nice. Cornbread fritters were sweet. Very good. Drinks were good. Highland Brewery Clawhmmer wAs great. Great local place. Definitely recommended.

Tempeh tacos were bland. The included slaw and asking for Valentina hot sauce helped. Corn tortillas were just bagged tortillas. I don’t even think they heated them. Throw them on the stove for a minute or something. Fried sweet potatoes are just sweet potato fries. Friendly staff. Cool décor and lighting. The ambience definitely makes this place. Otherwise, I wasn’t impressed. $ 11 for 3 unseasoned tempeh tacos. A little steep for what they were. Season the tempeh, drop them from 3 to 2 tacos, and include a side with the meal for $ 11. I would like to go back for drinks and try something else to eat because it was really cute in there.

Lamb burger and tacos are awesome. We went in on a Sunday afternoon, sat down and had our food in 5 minutes. A little pricey($ 15 for the burger with sweet potatoe fries), but a great little spot. We’d go back for sure.

This small pub was recommended by one of our tour guides. We stopped in for a snack and I got a sweet tea and poutine. Both were delicious. We did come in at about 3pm and there wasn’t anyone here. One of the waitresses was eating at the bar and told us to «sit anywhere» when we arrived. She wasn’t in a hurry to help us and she never came back to ask how we liked our food or to refill our drinks. Maybe if you come when it is busier you get better service, but the service wouldn’t make me want to come back

Shrug. I was walking through downtown Nashville when I came upon this place. It had a nice logo, which is usually enough for me to take a step inside. The ambiance is probably the best thing about this place. The bartender has some major attitude and kinda ignored us, which sucked when we needed our check in a rush. Also the pricing vs. quality is WAY off. I’d just keep walking next time.

We had a group of 10 and they did a great job of accommodating us. We ordered several appetizers, all of which were tasty. My personal favorite was the warm goat cheese… I could live on that! I wish the corn fritters had either a little more flavor or a little more texture, and a side of the hot pepper jelly to dip/spread on top. For dinner I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly. Not gritty, not chewy. The cranberry reduction was the perfect touch and the grits were not covered in butter. So good! My coworker would not stop talking about his kale salad. Unfortunately the garlicky kale was disappointing, and the Mexican street corn was in a bowl instead of on the cobb. We finished with dessert, of course. The vanilla crime brûlée is on the menu but the chocolate torte was on special. Let me tell you, it should be switched. The chocolate torte was rich, creamy, topped with simple whipped cream and strawberries. MUSTHAVE!

I stopped by Pub5 on my way to the hotel to place a to go order. I was promptly greeted at the bar where I placed an order for the kale salad and a lamb burger with fries. While I waited I sipped the drink el diablo. El Diablo was delicious! My to go order arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The kale salad was good. It was a little light on the beets and was composed of mostly curly kale(I expected flat kale) but it was still pretty good. The lamb burger was excellent; it was well seasoned and tasted great with caramelized onions. The fries were good as well. Overall I had a great experience with Pub5.

Maybe I hit Pub5 on a good day, or maybe my mood was elevated because I actually wanted to sit outside on a Saturday in January(so elated), but I really enjoyed my late lunch at Pub5. This place just has a nice vibe with the exposed brick walls and the rooftop bar, and when I stopped on the second floor it looks as if they have room for private events too! After seeing that the house made cocktails were pretty pricey I decided on a glass of red wine. We had the cornbread fritters to start and then the salmon BLT, Wabbit wrap, and soup of the day. Everything was really good and prepared well. The wrap was very healthy with fresh hummus and veggies. Service was a tad bit slow, but nothing too terrible considering they were pretty busy with customers on the roof. Overall, Pub5 was excellent and I can’t wait to stop back in to try more of the menu!

We walked up and down Honkey Tonk land in search of the least touristy place to eat and grab a beer for lunch. We were about to settle for less when I pulled up Pub5 on Unilocal. It was perfect weather for the rooftop so we headed upstairs. We were seated right against the wall for a perfect people watching view down below. Fortunately, we didn’t need to people watch because there was a couple of crazies sitting near us and we eavesdropped their whole convo… live entertainment! They had an impressive beer selection but, the waitress was a bit unsure on explanations of a few of them or recommending anything of a particular style. Everything on the menu looked pretty enticing. The pimento cheese was delicious and and excellent choice of starter for the four of us. I was leaning towards the fried chicken and then a couple other folks at the table ordered it so I went back to the Trout. I did get to try the chicken and can easily say you won’t go wrong either way. I loved my trout and it was a perfectly light lunch. The most surprising part of the dish was the side… or should I say sides. It came with a flash fried Kale Salad… wasn’t too sure what to expect out of that. I say«sides» because I had two mountains of kale on either side of my fish. The kale was lightly crispy and still a bit chewy. It had house made chips and dried fruit mixed in with cheese sprinkled on top. Everyone at the table had to taste it and all agreed it was way better than they anticipated from the sound of it. The service was a bit slow considering how busy it was and we kept having different people come to the table and even finished with a different waitress than who started. It must have been a shift change or something but, it definitely slowed things down and created some confusion with the wait staff. Not a big deal. I would be back for that kale salad alone!
