Did a great job with altering a few of my dresses exactly how I wanted them & now they fit like a glove. Yes pricey, but I’ll be going back anyway because a good tailor is hard to find.

Whenever I come to Nicholson Cleaners to get my clothing dry cleaned or laundered, I feel like the associates are always trying to squeeze the most money out of each clothing that I bring there. While I understand that certain items due to fabric, embellishment type, etc. do require«additional time» or product to be cleaned, for the exuberant prices Nicholson charges, I would expect them to be more lenient pricing wise. Dry Cleaning Prices as of 10/19/2013: –Blouse: $ 5.99 –Silk Blouse: $ 6.99 Don’t get me wrong, in the end, they get the job done well. However, I can get my clothes cleaned just as well but for cheaper somewhere else. And if you dry clean as much as I do, those dollars add up!

Unfortunately, Nicholson was a complete and utter disappointment. A few weeks ago I brought a short pea coat to be cleaned and pressed. When they give me the ticket it didn’t include a price, which I thought was a little sketchy but at the time was in too much of a rush to give it much thought. When I went back later in the week, the bill came out to 25 dollars! I’ve had this coat cleaned in NYC for 8 – 12 dollars(with 25 dollars usually the price of long, fully lined wool coats) so I genuinely thought there must be a mistake. When I asked why the exorbitant price, the clerk told me that they were the only cleaners around(not true, by the way, there is another one a half mile away) and so could take advantage of it. While I usually applaud small businesses succeeding by meeting a little met demand, this extreme«take advantage of the customer» mentality makes Nicholson’s a skip.
