Nashville Pickers

A super feel good place with tons of vintage items, another Ronald Reagan statue carrying jelly beans. Lots of vinyl, we scored and Eddie Rabbit album that was playing when we went in. you really have to go look because I defy you not to want something.

American Pickers is great for the serious collector with an American Express. For casual everyday decorators or collectors of good picks Nashville Pickers in Berry Hill is the place to be. You won’t see Frank or Mike there, but you might have an informative conversation with Steve. He is a passionate antiques and collectibles picker who opened Nashville Pickers to pass on some of his finds. He seems to particularly like iconic faces and animals. A scary (to me) Ronald Reagan figurine with an ax (for budgets?) & a Winston Churchill grin stands on a cabinet in the left! side room. In the big back room on the little stage under a smiling yellow moon is The Space Chicken. I’d like to take the Space Chicken home but its too big for my bureau. Up in the air is a younger chick with a guitar. Steve is a musician so there is a good sprinkling of music icons to. Some of the more offbeat kitsch might find a home in the living room of a whimsical soul. Old dolls and antique metal toys and figures and more current but unusual stuff is there as well. I think I’ll clue a barbeque joint guy I know about the tall old «Great Day 4 BBQ» sign that’d be cool on his wall. A bonus excuse for my visits is Black Abbey brewery and tasting room a block away.
